Messages from the Islamic extremist groups show concern about the virus mixed with bravado, asserting that it is punishment for non-Muslims while also urging followers to repent and take care of themselves.

Al-Qaida suggested in a statement Tuesday that non-Muslims use their time in quarantine to learn about Islam.

Ironically, many clusters have emerged for a spike in religious gatherings including Friday prayers in mosques. Devoted and serious practitioners get infected. How do extremists interpret this paradox? Punishment from Allah?

Let religious people ignore the experts and gather.

Earth to Islamic extremist groups - COVID-19 doesn't discriminate between Muslims and non-Muslims.

In Somalia, the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab held a rare five-day meeting of its leaders in March that discussed the virus. In a communique, the group recognized its “emergency threat” to the world, including Muslim

Rather than seek some imaginary advantage , it appears that most humans recognize the existential threat applies to everyone.

Serrano,

Earth to Islamic extremist groups - COVID-19 doesn't discriminate between Muslims and non-Muslims.

They don't care. In the above case, if a person dies, he would be hailed a martyr..a jihadist.

Where's the logic when people believe that whoever dies is an infidel and whoever is spared is a follower of God? The masses don't think logically.

JijitsuToday 08:26 am JSTIn India, a Muslim religious group carried out it's meetings, defying their government's orders. It seems they were told that followers of Allah would be spared.

Attendees included people from nations including Bangladesh and Malaysia.

They caught Coronavirus here.

These guys then spread across the country, taking it to the remote villages.. places where a pandemic normally would not get to. Most of the cases in the country are now linked to this meeting.

In defiance of state governors' orders, 'Christian' evangelist megachurches have also done the same thing. A pastor in Tampa Bay got arrested for exposing his parish to danger. He claims that his church has machines that kill the coronavirus. Step inside, you're cured. And the NY State AG is suing Jim Bakker for selling liquid silver as a COVID-19 'cure'. The rottenness of fanaticism and rip-offs in the name of God is appalling and sickening.

Both the Islamic State group and al-Qaida should get together for a great big group hug. Five times a day.

Okaaay......

Al-Qaida suggested in a statement Tuesday that non-Muslims use their time in quarantine to learn about Islam.

What? So when the extremists start falling like flies will they still claim it’s the infidels fault?

Saw the headline, thought of Pompeo.

Using this time of distraction to make a play on Venezuala.

I will never forget when al-Qaeda promised to strike the "heart of Tokyo". Religious extremists show themselves to be the lowest of the lowest on Earth, taking advantage of a disease is disgusting.

Kumagaijin - Unfortunately, the Western media (and those who control it) don't want anyone to forget that despite the millions of people hospitalized or to die from Covid-19 around the world, Islamic terrorism is still the real threat.

"Unfortunately"? Islamic terrorism is a real threat. They haven't gone away. They still continue to threaten the lives of Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The media outlets are currently paying their bills by touting everything Novel coronavirus related. Just because the media outlets are currently ignoring Islamic terrorism doesn't mean that Islamic terrorism has magically disappeared.

Zichi:

The extremists are in countries which if the pandemic hits will spread very quickly.

Which increasingly includes Europe. Check the geographical composition of the ISIS "fighters".

Politicians of 'extreme' wealth see this as an ideal opportunity aswell!!(to divert more funds to their cronies!!)

2 masks ought to shut up the masses..

Unfortunately, the Western media (and those who control it) don't want anyone to forget that despite the millions of people hospitalized or to die from Covid-19 around the world, Islamic terrorism is still the real threat. How much money was spent fighting 'terror' or on 'defense' in the last 20 years that could have been spent on preparing for a pandemic like this? How many respirators or other PPE could have been made instead of a drone or missile? You can bet that after this Covid-19 pandemic, we'll be hearing about how Al-Qaeda has 'strengthened' or how ISIS has 'regrouped' and is coming for us all! Or, you'll be hearing about how a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran could kill more people than a virus and we must sanction the Iranians even more! Don't let your guard down, terrorism is still a much bigger threat than the coronavirus!

Just because the media outlets are currently ignoring Islamic terrorism doesn't mean that Islamic terrorism has magically disappeared.

In the mainstream media, it magically disappeared long ago. Note that they are only talking about "extremists", "militants" or "fighters" these days, without any identifiable ideological basis. This i word in this article is rather the exception.
