French designer Pierre Cardin dies at 98

Even though I am not a fan of Cardin, I admire his creative energy, vision, and entrepreneurship.

Like Picasso who can make art from almost anything even the ingredients of the kitchen (one of which is the fish bone) in his "Bull fight and fish" plate, fashion mogul Pierre Cardin has worked in many different fields of design including airplane, car, watch, bathroom, rug, eyeglasses. Regardless of the aesthetic values of his experimental works, many people bought them just because of his name.

This article only mentions his relationship with Moreau and avoids any implication of Cardin's homosexuality.

Apparently Cardin was mostly gay, but in the 1960s he had a four-year affair with actress Jeanne Moreau. His long-term business partner and life partner was fellow French fashion designer André Oliver, who died in 1993.
