Word is these guys are now all deceased, nobody officially has come out and said that but from the locals its looking more and more like the probability.

They cant send anyone into the mine because of the dangerous levels of toxic gases which doesn't bode well for the poor guys down the mine.

Sad to say but must face reality sooner than later.

What's going on with all of the recent mine collapses. Is it just that they're all getting news coverage now?

This was an explosion in coal mine, rather different to the collapsed copper mine of Chile. Underground mining is inherently dangerous and thousands die yearly - just look at China. Chile put the spotlight on it longer than normal. Sad stuff for all the families involved.
