So why is the Biden Administration purposely withholding vaccines from Trump supporting counties?

This doesn't follow. Indeed, it's contradicted by the article that Numan posted:

But in more rural — and more Republican — areas, health officials said that supply is far exceeding demand.

You would have known this, if you had read it.

@Happy Day

Many Blacks are refusing. So are anti-vaxxers. So are some Republicans, though I would guess they are a minority.

Oh.........my!

Good to know that at least half of Americans are sensible and not listening to the liars and charlatans who rail against the vaccine in public, but take it secretly.

zichi: The largest group refusing vaccinations are white men, republican supporters, even though Trump and his wife were secretly vaccinated back in January.

You got data on that claim from an independent source? MSNBC and CNN don’t count.

And that traitor and his booger-brained Boogaloos have only made things worse for America. They caused a lot of crap and that got even more people sick.

45's advice to go out, act if everything is normal, hold super spreader events, and masks aren't important... yes, that certainly accelerated the virus in the US.

As for the cultists, there's no instant cure for bigots/crazies etc. Maybe interventions, or de-programming?

P Smith: Always playing identity politics.

Who, me? Nope, not me.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

I haven’t seen statistics on who is refusing to be vaccinated. I have heard that there are a number of campaigns going on in many of the larger US cities to convince people it is safe. Is that because those cities are full of white male Republicans?

@P.Smith

And I quote:

Of course, there will always be low information people who refuse the vaccine out of ignorance-driven fear. Most, obviously, will be in red states.

And in a later post:

Always playing identity politics.

The problem with politics today isn't red vs. blue or even liberal vs. conservative. It is hypocrisy.

Among Americans 65 or older, 66% have been fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.

I just got my 2nd this past week. It shagged me out bigtime the next day but that was the worst side effect. Still, I'm not so wager to 'get out and do' anything even if there's something happening. I'm not so worried about myself but I don't want to be a carrier.

I may have to fly out of the country to find a vaccine. Pitiful leadership!

Wolfpack- you are right. The media’s rush to politicize COVID obscures the facts. Many Blacks are refusing. So are anti-vaxxers. So are some Republicans, though I would guess they are a minority.

At the end of the day, everyone needs to decide what’s best for them.

My best friend in the States has already gotten his two shots while I sit here in Japan with the first shot nowhere in sight. Piss poor. Maybe I should fax in an urgent request.

-one free glazed doughnut per day ... to anyone who provides proof of a Covid-19 vaccination.

A healthier alternative would be handing out a lottery ticket with each vaccination and having a year of weekly draws. A cash prize for the first jab tickets and something creative for second jab tickets - maybe dinner with a celebrity, a walk on part in a TV programme or a chance to read the news on TV. Different companies could put up prizes.

As more people get vaccinated, peer/family pressure will kick in and the number declining will decrease.

Not sure why JT insists on using garbage articles for COVID in the U.S.

Governors manage COVID response in each State. Democrat-run states have managed the virus horribly. Endless lockdowns and high mortality rates. A wasted year for kids. Who cares what the vaccination rates are- they still do not have it under control- Michigan, New York, New Jersey, etc.

New Hampshire’s Governor is Republican, by the way. I’m sure it was an honest oversight by the writer.

Quite the accomplishment. Of course, there will always be low information people who refuse the vaccine out of ignorance-driven fear. Most, obviously, will be in red states.

I’ve actually found that many of the people I have heard of that do not want to take the vaccine are very well informed. Let’s not forget, in the US the FDA has not formally approved any covid vaccine. They were initially rushed through the process by the Trump administration and given approval on an emergency use basis. Many black citizens are refusing to take the vaccination as well due to the history of Progressive era tests on black people.

I have finally received both vaccinations and feel like I will be okay but I don’t know for sure of course. As I said, these vaccines are not officially approved by the FDA through the culmination of phase three clinical trials. I make decisions for myself- not for others.

I'm fully vaccinated. I've done my part in trying to get the country to open up as quickly as possible.

Good news but still lots of work to do.

I guess they’ll be no free Krispy Kreme donuts for us here in Japan.
