The Taliban have issued a blanket amnesty for anyone who worked with US and Afghan forces. So far there's no indication that they aren't abiding by this. The mass refugee flows that were expected at the Afghan/Pakistan border crossings have not materialised.

A group of Afghans encountered by The Associated Press near the border said they had deserted the Afghan military....

Those afghans never really signed up for anything other than US taxpayers dollars.

Now they're bugging out to suckle on the teat of the European taxpayer.

Keep them out.

Not just Turkey, Europe knows too well the messy experience of the massive influx of Syrians not long ago.

Somehow EU do not want to reprimand US, because they have been part of the fiasco too..

Misleading article. There will be an epic flood of migrants, but Erdogan will simply ship them off to the EU. So from his POV, it is all OK.
