This is war,

This war will end when one side holds up the white flag and negotiate term of surrender.

Hamas has been defeated, what remains is a Gaza in ruins, its infrastructure destroyed.

Hamas tactic was to hide within Gaza civilian population.

A choice still remains to broker surrender to an agreed independent UN sponsored peacekeeping force.

"Hamas has been defeated ""

Apparently not, reading this article and many news sites, fighting continues.

And hard not to "hide within the civilian population " in the most densely crowded place on earth.

Netanyahu not interested in a ceasefire, peace or a two state solution.

More bloodshed looms.

Israelis across the country calling for Netanyahu to stand down and call a general election.

Israel continues it''s war on UNRWA as well.

Now calling for it to be dismantled and its brief handed to other agencies.

Some UN people believe this is unrealistic in the time of war, and would help facilitate the impending famine in Gaza.

Multi pronged attack by Israel as usual, with propaganda being a front line option.

BTW Netanyahu apparently in hospital with a hernia.

Israeli strikes killed 77 Palestinians in Gaza in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Sunday, as Egypt hosted an Israeli delegation for a new round of talks in a bid to secure a truce with Gaza's Hamas rulers.

Another successful strike by IDF forces. They're getting closer to mission accomplished.

Biden arming Israel, while he sending aid to Israel, bypassing congress to aid Israel, Japanese may not handle the truth well, why they will be at the mercy of others

The war in Gaza has become an Urban warfare and will drag on for as long as the two sides agree to NOT agree, there is NO shortage of Weapons or Fighters as been proven, In fact news reports are indicating that fresh fighters are entering Gaza from Abroad with their Weapons something Netanahu and his warmongers did not count on.

Gaza is becoming the new Iraq, Afghanistan, & Syria, were fighters are answering the call and joining the fight.

GuruMick, every day this war moves to an full ground offensive within what must be considered and recognised as Rafah a huge refugee camp that is at present under blockade siege.

With the Israeli hostages still incarcerated, any possibility of a ceasefire is doubtful.

Some would suggest even with the release of all the hostages, Hamas future has been decided, will face obliteration, annihilation.

For the UN to offer a means lay down arms and surrender. Such an opportunity will present a means to halt an entire middle eastern conflict.

The danger is that political manoeuvrings some cynical, clandestine, the lack of resolve, the distraction of elections in Europe/US, the reality could be a middle eastern region wide conflict out of the control of global diplomacy.

Israelis across the country calling for Netanyahu to stand down and call a general election

I saw that. His popularity is in the toilet.

Needs to go.

Hamas has been defeated,

So, why is Israel still insisting on continuing the campaign in Gaza?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

""Hamas has been defeated ""

Very Much Doubt It.

When was the last time Israel was able to defeat the Palestinians struggle for Freedom and independence, Fatah is still under their nose, and so is the PLO, and Islamic Jihad, and many more.

Israel has learned to live with them until Netanyahu and his far right land thieves showed up

Chabbawanga, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu own political survival is linked to his failure to protect his own people from that devastating 7th October 2023 surprise attack.

Netanyahu, wants to politically string together Hamas defeat, complete capitulation, any possibility of a future independent globally recognised sovereign Palestinian state, and also the political reasoning to move this war into Lebanon and Hezbollah.

It is our leaders pontificating, its refusal to show resolve, the appeasement, that has brought Europe (Ukraine Russia), the Middle East, the Government of China rampant emboldened in the South China sea, Taiwan Straits, to a global conflict.

You know what makes Donald Trump so dangerous, he opens his mouth and barks out what secretly the majority could actually be thinking.

You would need the fingers on both hands to count the groups who will and are fighting the Israeli occupation.

From secular Marxist ideologues to ramped up Islamic fighters.

Defeating Hamas {not presently possible } wont see an end to the struggle for justice for Palestinian people and a proper homeland.

Just an intractable situation.....Israel wont give an inch and Hamas wont back off.

Some of the Christian teaching and traditions would be useful for both sides.

As for "mission accomplished "" comment....I remember Bush saying this after toppling Saddam {a secular dictator } and ushering the era of ISIS.

Dont count your eggs before they hatch maybe.

Netanyahu stank before Oct 7 attacks....he is facing fraud and bribery charges and tried to nobble the Supreme Court in Israel.

Israeli's rightfully see a political opportunist in him.

I feel for Israel's citizens as well as for Gazan's.

Shalom

What does "mission accomplished" for the Palestinian people in Gaza mean?

The families of the innocent men, women, children, the infants of vital health care now lays in rubble, what remains of hospitals, many now facing mass starvation?

Hamas must surrender, to a UN peacekeeping force. no shame in surrender, it will save the lives of tens of thousands, I contend 100.000s lives that could yet be sacrificed if this war is not stopped now.

It's so very frustrating that 6 months into the mass slaughter of women and children, not to forget fathers, grandfathers and uncles, in total up to 40,000 and the razing of Gaza with 10,000 additional victims rotting under the mountains of rubble, all MSM outlets are still echoing the position of every government supporting this "plausible" genocide that Hamas carried out a terrorist attack " killing 1,200 people" when the evidence has been accumulating that the IDF killed many of their own people during those October days (but the Israeli government won't tell us how many or even admit to the facts that have been revealed). Why? It's elementary, as old Sherlock would say: Because the propaganda and lies concerning the events of those few days repeated daily ad nauseum for 6 months have served all parties involved in the destruction of Gaza well as a "casus belli" and have been the means to distract from the record of Israeli occupation and despoliation of Palestine for decades and to justify the defamation of the Palestinian resistance group that has asserted its right under international law to defend itself against an occupying military force.

Guru and reamer- excellent posts

"The command centre and terrorists were struck precisely, the military said, adding it was intended to minimize "harm to uninvolved civilians in the area of the hospital".

followed by

Palestinian health officials and Hamas media said the strike hit several tents inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital, killing four people and wounding several, including five journalists.

is very on brand.

None of this, not a single bit of it, would be happening right now if Hamas had not chosen to stream across the Gaza/Israel border and start directly and intentionally murdering innocent people at music festivals and old ladies waiting at bus stops. Among their many other acts of horror last Oct. 7th.

And that is an absolutely undeniable, take-it-to-the-bank fact.

Don't even think about disagreeing with that. Facts cannot be disagreed with.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Unfortunately Hamas can't be eradicated just by destroying everything and countless innocent civilians in Gaza

0 ( +3 / -3 )

USA will continue to fund the bloodshed even tho opposed to it in hypocrisy.

Same old tactics

Next the USA will step in and make Gaza a territory and put a military base and embassy there
