Seeing as immigration from the EU has been such a hot issue, the chart (the center picture) really puts it into perspective. Only 2.3 million EU citizens living in the UK. Just 3.6% of the population. Judging by the rhetoric one might have thought it had jumped to 36%.

There are more Brits living in the EU (Outside of the the UK) than there are are EU citizens living in the UK. The irony! (Send 'em back to the UK!)

The bookies have a Labour government relying on the SNP as the most likely outcome. The SNP demolishing Labour and the collapse of the Liberals look nailed on bets. One thing I would bet on is Scottish independence within a decade. The Tories have been all but kicked out of Scotland and the Labour and Liberal vote is collapsing at breakneck speed. All three have themselves to blame for allowing the SNP in through their neglect.

Is that well-run?

"the state-funded National Health Service"

'Is that well-run?'

It has its problems like any other but it generally scores very well in comparison with the health care provision of other developed countries. There is always room for improvement.

The Election campaigning for all the major parties have been a miserable disappointment. A full, open and honest debate on economic reforms to health, welfare and pensions, care of the elderly, reduction to the structural deficit has been notably absent. Worst of all has been the behavior of a mob of SNP thugs that ambushed Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy, the level of abuse was designed for the sole purpose of preventing democratic debate. Shameful from a party that represents less that 5% of the UK vote age population.

I work for the NHS in Scotland - yes it's well run. The I'm biased :)

As for immigration: that's only an issue with a certain demographic - white van drivers, taxi drivers and people like that. Personally the issue doesn't affect or bother me... I'm just worried about the SNP getting the influence at Westminster they need to push through another referendum and break up the UK.

@Thunder, well, surprisingly enough, Westminster is the centre of the UK's, not England's, political power base.

Except they were ex-labour thugs, and not SNP members.

Hard line Scottish nationalists Piers Doughty-Brown and James Scott had been suspended from the SNP for leading the attack on Jim Murphy...

It seems I was wrong. Except for the "thug" part.
