Yep, real leadership by Governor Cuomo. That is why his state is leading in corona deaths at over 32,000. Poor Governor DeSantis, his state hasn't even lost 6,000 yet. Funny how that number doesn't appear in the story though...

High case numbers and low deaths means that the virus is burning through the population and will eventually provide herd immunity. But that isn't exciting, or politically advantageous. Instead, we are fed a steady diet of fear porn by the media who are in a total frenzy to ensure that President Trump loses the election.

silvafan:

LOL! Like I have said recently, Cuomo has been one of example of real leadership in this country. Remember when DeSantis went on TV bragging that the experts were wrong and he flattened the curve?

Most of us knew that this would come back to bite that racist. I don't know how people like him can look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night.

Proof that wearing masks spreads the virus. States with mandatory mask wearing infections are increasing. So is physical violence against people who choose not to wear them. Stabbing, pepper spray, punching kicking.

to include the mayors of Portland/Seattle/Chicago and the mayor/governor of NY and the governor of California?

Or just Trump and DeSantis are held to any level of accountability?

America has so many failures in leadership right now,

That governor is a fool and he is not averse to risking lives in order to do business as usual even though that is a fallacy due to the pandemic. America has so many failures in leadership right now, it is pathetic.

CNN conveniently dropped a companion poll to this article today for Florida.

Trump 45% approval rate. (in a CNN poll? ruh roh)

Biden 51 to 46 lead (with 3.6 margin of error and 22% of the respondents not even registered to vote).

Biden voters- will Vote for Biden: 47%. are voting against Trump: 48%

Trump voters- will Vote for Trump: 75%

Will keep Americans safe from harm and the economy, Trump ahead.

"Cases" are irrelevant. What is the death rate?

So you're essentially a supporter of the spread virus, if it doesn't kill enough for you.

The number of cases is not irrelevant. In essence, you support the spread of the virus because you think the death rate is low and the only measure of COVID-19's severity. Wrong.

Florida is a swing state which could decide the election outcome.

knowing that, now re-read this article.

why the desperation to show that NY and California: good and Florida: bad?

Latest Trump supporter "scientific" explanation for COVID....

You know those temperature checkers that people aim at your forehead?

Well, those are made by Microsoft and they really are used to plant "Liberal" chips in your brains - it's all part of Bill gates plot to control us all...

After people get those things pointed at them, they suddenly change and start smiling, talk nice to others, welcome people of other races, treat women with respect, and share their toilet paper....

But isnt Biden supposedly winning by 13 in Florida? seems the media doesnt trust that polling, so back to Florida, Florida one more time just to make sure.

@Zaphod

"Cases" are irrelevant. What is the death rate? The media keeps feeding us meaningless numbers.

The "rate" is irrelevant. How many people in the US died? 150,000 deaths are not meaningless to those who lost someone. The far right and other trump supporters keep feeding us these debunked conspiracy theories and unimportant numbers

The number of deaths is still increasing, right?

The Trump-Desantis Mortuary Service...

Sending Floridians to their graves...

Gee, wonder why Biden is 13 points ahead in Florida....

It's great that individuals can access a huge number of media outlets presenting data and information from a variety of perspectives allowing individuals to decide for themselves what is meaningless - or not.

The DeSantis disaster emanating from the Sunshine State's right-wing Republican hot-house was all too predictable. The poster-boy for hubris will not be relishing his boss's next invitation to a Mar-a-Lago banquet to dine on crow. Florida, the bellwether of the Republican flock battered by the pandemic, is now lost to Trump and will end up in Biden's fold.

From the first case (which was promised would 'miraculously go away'), American leaders at all levels have bungled handling the pandemic.

The outright lies told by people who are supposed to be leaders - 'it will go away when it's warmer' - and flip-flopping from 'it's un-American to wear a mask' to 'it's patriotic to wear a mask' have sent confusing messages.

America's sizable intellectually vulnerable population and the country's sizable hard-headed population are bearing the brunt of leadership failures. The decisions those individuals have made because of their 'limitations' and the mixed messages they've heard put the country at even greater risk.

I certainly do! Just like trump's declaration of success and downplaying the virus. Both complete failures!

Cuomo as leader can run circles around both fools: trump and DeSantis
