The fact that it involved foreign workers is incidental, not central, to the events, he wrote in a commentary for Singapore’s Today newspaper.

I am a great fan of Singapore Public Transport. During my last visit to Singapore, I was surprised to learn that some buses were not running because of the boycott of PRC imported bus drivers. Those drivers are imported from PRC.

Sunday violence was the first riot in Singapore since racial disturbances in 1969. Since then, the government has imposed strict controls on protests.

Foreign workers may contribute the GDP of Singapore. However some of them are rotten Tomatoes for Singapore orderly image and reputation. Little India riots have showed the risks of accepting anti social and ill mannered people to the law abiding society. Little India has lost the charm of exotic tourist attraction.

And I always thought Singapore, was a kinder, gentler nation state! Poor, poor drunk Indians?? Do only the Indians get drunk there? Do they not have drunk Brit hooligans like they have up in Thailand??

They will be caned and send back, every weekend is the same see a few thousands India Indian, gathering in little India, drinking their head off dashing across busy road and making a nuisance of them self to the public.

This should be a wake up call to the government, the last serious riot we had is back in 1964.
