Xi de facto has become an Emperor for life now, it's bad news for China and bad news for the world.

Why such ‘loss of face’ for Hu? The faces of the rest of the attendees were painful to watch, they pretended as if nothing was happening, they saw nothing.

A Saddam Hussain move. Nice telegraphing what’s next. Bow your head that way your brains don’t spatter on me.

This will allow him to sail through to a third term as China's president,

My gut is telling me it won't be smooth sailing. There is huge pent up anger and frustration within the CCP and China as a whole. Something is going to happen. It's just a matter of time.

Just before being led off, Hu was heard to mutter to another former President, "Xi sure is a silly, willy, nilly, old bear, isn't he".....

Xi needed Hu’s help and cooperation to get re-elected and once that happened he kicked Hu Jintao out. There is no way that anyone could touch a ex-President like that unless Xi ordered it. Classic Communist dictatorial persecution.

It is not good for countries like China and Russia to have leaders without limited terms.

Hu Jintao does have health issues. Xi Jinping considered him too healthy to be kept around.

Xi's smug look and Li Keqiang's expression of shock says it all.

Of course there is anger, millenials of the worlds are rejoicing whilst millenials in China faces 30%+ unemployment. Chinese industries finally receiving payback for CCP mercantilism, covid lock downs because of bad propaganda about western vaccines, mistakes after mistakes.

IMHO, Hu is not even the main story, he's had his days, it's Li Keqiang sitting next to him, ousted from the politbureau, that's telling something, Xi is on his last breath and making dure only subserviant allies are left standing.

The world should be worried when a dictator is on his last breath, war could be near.

Beware of surrounding yourself with sycophants. By removing Hu, Xi's "frenemy," Xi is now in a echo chamber - receiving only the advice one wants to hear is to receive no advice at all.

It's official, Xi gets 3rd term, Li Qiang 2nd in charge, Li Keqiang ousted.

Qiand is the guy responsible for starving Shanghai residents for two months (during the recent covid 0 enforcement). Add this to John Lee being new CEO of HK, the guy responsible beating protesters in HK, and not just pro-democracy protesters either, he gave orders to beat up old and yyoung.

I guess now we know Xi's priorities. He made all the mistakes, so now he has to protect himself from his own people.

https://youtu.be/Ip_zVtrFpzs is a video of the CCP party meeting. This has NOTHING to do with democracy. It is a party meeting with physical bullying of the former CCP leader who is a rival to Xi.

If this was about his health, there would have been public statements earlier and the Chinese internet wouldn't be actively scrubbing the health information. No mention of Hu except outside China by newly created CCP accounts on social media. Pay attention to what the CCP says - and doesn't say - inside China.

If it was his health, why not have a wheel chair?

Xi is smiling as he is "escorted out". Not cool.

When will Hu be back? Hint: never.
