One of the greatest mysteries of US, with a great man suffering for his greatness. Hopefully one day, with the regime change, uncorrupted people will reveal all the documents there are on this case.

I was 16 years old and saw it happen on a Zenith b/w TV in the den. That whole traumatic weekend was unforgettable. Poor JFK.

I remember watching this as a kid and not understanding the reference at the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SgweHRbtVk

America is an unusual country where democracy and violences coexist.

"He died, didn't he?" Leavelle said of Oswald in a 2013 interview with NBC News. "So, I ... so yeah, I failed."

I don't remember reading much about Leavelle. But that quote right there makes me think "This was a real man with real honor." He had the stones to admit he failed, despite all his efforts. But I think its just as likely the other officers failed him. I doubt any were half as dedicated to keeping Oswald alive.

Its too bad he did not succeed. Had Oswald lived we might have gotten a few nuggets of truth to help us realize what really happened with the JFK assassination.

The most significant news photo of the 20th century. Photo journalism, like editorial cartooning, never gets the full credit it deserves in telling the story.
