"Trump stumbles, slurs, gets confused, is easily irritated, and has trouble synthesizing information

That can happen with age to most people. Not sure a 78 year old replacement would be any better. The US should come out with a constitutional amendment allowing only folks below a certain age and having no existing mental or physical health concerns to become the most powerful person in the world. My ideal US President would be President James Marshall from Air Force One.

Many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions

Hopefully they aren't too late.

Trump and his global supporters, including those paid by authoritarian states, have attempted to damage democratic institutions and democracies in general.

Trump and his fellow Republicans pushing for the US president to have greater authoritarian powers while weakening the powers of congress, the courts and the voting public have done more damage to the republic than any group in US history.

Aging has only exacerbated Trump's lifelong mental deficiencies. Power has visibly corrupted a weak, unprincipled character who has always lived in a bubble of money and self-delusion. The glaring light of the presidency has put on display all Trump's failings as a human being and put to shame his dead-ender cult followers in the "red states" with their "blue pills" who still believe his lies and empty boasts. I hope they will wake up without a hangover after he's gone. The Dems have a duty to bring this "lost flock" back from the wilderness and into the democratic fold because it was their Wall Street-friendly policies which threw the American working class to the ruthless Republican wolves.

Democrat institutions, as in Michigan with the lockdowns, that they were so draconian and oppressive that the Michigan Supreme Court had to overturn what the Dems were doing? The same people that want to abolish the second amendment, the same people that want to get rid of the filibuster and the same people that continue to talk about packing the courts, those are the people that are trying to destroy our democracy.

Trump and his fellow Republicans pushing for the US president to have greater authoritarian powers

impossible, if you have a Democrat majority and they talk about stacking the courts or rotating the courts or making sure that the entire country is run like California where the minority would not have a say whatsoever, they can just rubberstamp everything through, that is the real state of affairs we are in right now and that is the real threat to our democracy in the idea to punish job creators will not help the economy and will not help the nation. And not helping or supporting our police and pushing to defund them to allow rioters and looters to continue on and destroy our cities just shows us all where the priorities rest with Democrats and it’s not with the majority of Americans.

while weakening the powers of congress,

Congress is weak and all the more reason why Dems want to consolidate their power. These are the people that are doing the real damage to the nation.

Kayleigh McEnany will have a hard ti finding a new job in a few weeks, except at 1 specific hotel chain. That's the future for every Trump staffer, fr the next 20 yrs.

Kayleigh McEnany called Taylor a “low-level, disgruntled former staffer” who "is a liar and a coward who chose anonymity over action and leaking over leading.”

All true.

this guy was presented as a senior level official in the Trump Administration.

Another lie.

of course, he is now a paid CNN contributor. Of course.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The guy is a serial lier, how can anyone tell if he's telling the truth now.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Of course he will, was there any doubt?

Will probably get a pay increase and his own show now.

CNN said Taylor would remain a contributor.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Why do so many people who have worked in the Trump administration hate him?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Well, CNN DOES have an opening now. They need someone to fill in for Jeffrey Toobin- he has his hands full these days.

It wasnt that full.....

media purposely ignoring that Miles Taylor was NOT a "Chief of Staff" at all or even a "senior official" of the "Trump Administration" when this original article was published. typical.

Dang straight - Kayleigh is always right.....

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany praised Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in 2015 as "funny and likable" and a "man of the people," according to a Monday report from CNN's KFile.

In audio obtained by CNN's Andrew Kaczynski, McEnany says Biden would be a hard candidate for Republicans and President Trump to run against if he were to become the nominee in 2020.

"I think the Republicans run into a problem if it is Joe Biden and if it is maybe a Trump on the other side," she reportedly said on local New York radio station AM970. "Because Joe Biden, one of the things he is remarkable at is really kind of being a man of the people and resonating with middle-class voters.

Preach Kayleigh!
