"He wanted to make sure that there was a denial of any kind of relationship," said Hicks, who served as campaign press secretary.

Hearsay.

Hearsay

Nope. Trump is in the courtroom, that's not hearsay.

18 ( +18 / -0 )

Hearsay.

She’s under oath.

21 ( +21 / -0 )

She’s under oath.

Seems like the prosecution are just not getting what they had so desperately hoped for?

Seems like the prosecution are just not getting what they had so desperately hoped for?

Seems like the Trump fans are just not getting what they had so desperately hoped for?

Earlier in the day, the judge overseeing the trial told Trump that a gag order that bars him from commenting about witnesses and jurors would not prevent him from testifying, as Trump had told reporters on Thursday.

“I want to stress to Mr. Trump: you have an absolute right to testify at trial,” Justice Juan Merchan said.

From Trump's mouth to the MAGA faithful.

An illogical conflation that they will defend to their last breath, number 423.

Being barred from slagging off judges, witnesses, staff online and in front of MAGA friendly media outlets is not the same as testifying under oath and under prosecutorial questioning.

18 ( +18 / -0 )

From Trump's mouth to the MAGA faithful.

And?

An illogical conflation that they will defend to their last breath, number 423.

Just like you would Sanders, to each his own, right?

Being barred from slagging off judges, witnesses, staff online and in front of MAGA friendly media outlets is not the same as testifying under oath and under prosecutorial questioning.

Hillary did as well, as did Holder, not sure what your point is.

—She’s under oath.

Seems like the prosecution are just not getting what they had so desperately hoped for?

Non sequitur.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

Hope Hicks just connected all the receipts that were shown up until this point, to Trump.

Now that the full connection is drawn, they will show the conspiracy, and prove it with the players.

Bragg came with receipts. This is a well structured prosecution.

It will be interesting to see how Trump's lawyers handle their turn.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

Just like you would Sanders, to each his own, right?

Since Sanders was mentioned, name one illogical conflation of his like the one above or his thousands of others. I'll wait. Should be hilarious.

"Mr. Trump felt like this wasn't good, but it was also just like two guys talking, locker-room talk," she testified.

Trump does need women of his type to run cover for him, but they always seem to end up very disillusioned like Hicks.

17 ( +17 / -0 )

Not "hearsay " when a witness reports a conversation she actually, directly , had.

It's evidence.

IF, a person reported on something ANOTHER person said about THAT PARTICULAR conversation ,involving other people, that would be hearsay.

Zibala...maaaate....this is basic stuff

19 ( +19 / -0 )

Hearsay.

Desperate attempt.

Does anyone know if Fox reported this to it's viewers? I'd bet a dollar to a donut it's not something they brought up.

Since Sanders was mentioned, name one illogical conflation of his like the one above or his thousands of others. I'll wait. Should be hilarious.

Besides him being politically irrelevant….give me a moment….

Trump does need women of his type to run cover for him,

So women don’t have their own free will? Bit sexist, wouldn’t you say?

but they always seem to end up very disillusioned like Hicks.

She seemed clear and straightforward as an arrow, libs try harder!

Still not sure what crime is alleged here.

So it sure looks like third world banana republic tactics to me.

"Trump does need women of his type to run cover for him,"

So women don’t have their own free will? Bit sexist, wouldn’t you say?

How did you manage to infer that? Looks a bit like you're deliberately misinterpreting the comment in order to attack it. That's either extremely disingenuous or you have a problem with reading comprehension.

20 ( +20 / -0 )

How did you manage to infer that? Looks a bit like you're deliberately misinterpreting the comment in order to attack it.

As if my comments don’t get attacked, but anyway, the comment does seem to imply that if you’re a conservative woman or if you are a woman that supports Trump you are inherently illiterate and dumb, so yes, it’s an insulting comment.

That's either extremely disingenuous or you have a problem with reading comprehension.

…or I’m just right.

-25 ( +1 / -26 )

Still not sure what crime is alleged here.

While cheating on your wife with a porn star while she is home with your newborn baby is morally awful, it’s not what he is being charged with.

He is being charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover it up, which includes some felony counts.

19 ( +20 / -1 )

No family support in the court.

As if my comments don’t get attacked, but anyway, the comment does seem to imply that if you’re a conservative woman or if you are a woman that supports Trump you are inherently illiterate and dumb, so yes, it’s an insulting comment.

You said it implied women, not just women who support Trump, don't have free will. Now you seem to have decided it implies something else.

"That's either extremely disingenuous or you have a problem with reading comprehension."

…or I’m just right.

About what? Anyway - I'm done commenting on this topic. Enjoy wasting the rest of the morning on it.

17 ( +17 / -0 )

No family support in the court.

They're at home.

Everyone knows you are a maga bot on here,

You’re a Maga-hate bot.

you only comment on articles related to trump.

No, I do not.

do you realize you are just making people hate trump even more?

You do the opposite for people that like Trump. Case in point, these sham trials.

Maybe best to go spend your time at Fox with all the other maga bots.

And you on msnbc or cnn

-19 ( +0 / -19 )

bass4funk

No family support in the court.

> They're at home.

It must be very disappointing for Trump.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

You said it implied women, not just women who support Trump, don't have free will. Now you seem to have decided it implies something else.

It could because any woman that eyes Trump, that takes a liking to him and his policies could be considered as “disillusioned” whether they be liberal, conservative, libertarian etc…

About what?

About the statement directed towards me.

Anyway - I'm done commenting on this topic. Enjoy wasting the rest of the morning on it.

Ok, have a good one.

-17 ( +0 / -17 )

It must be very disappointing for Trump.

I doubt it. They don’t need to be there, they can’t do anything, they might not want to be there, serves no purpose, I’d be falling asleep myself. Better to be at home.

-18 ( +0 / -18 )

Any woman that supports Trump, have no self respecting qualities about themselves

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Hearsay.

Only in the sense that he said it and she heard it. Because he was giving her a direct instruction. Which she followed.

Family members attend court cases to give moral support and show juries a positive aspect for the defendant.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

the comment does seem to imply that if you’re a conservative woman or if you are a woman that supports Trump you are inherently illiterate and dumb

No it doesn’t. It says that Trump is the one who needs women around him to take the flack for him. He is definitely illiterate and dumb.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

You do the opposite for people that like Trump. Case in point, these sham trials.

Are you under the impression that user Nibek32 is prosecuting Trump in court? I must say I doubt it.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Another former Trump associate, friend, aide, throws a dagger into their old boss...

This trial has so far been a disaster for Trump - all he does is doze off senile grandpa-style or fight with his own lawyers...

https://newrepublic.com/article/181138/trump-raging-lawyer-todd-blanche-maga-fantasy

And we get more examples of his further deterioration into dementia...."But the former president reached new heights of incomprehensibility on Wednesday when he attempted to pronounce “infrastructure” during a campaign rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Trump was criticizing President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure package, which he signed into law in 2021, when Trump tried to say that four-syllable word. ″[It didn’t] work out too well ― $1.2 trillion for their fake infra-struck-er-sher par-,” Trump said."

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-apparently-having-trouble-pronouncing-230259903.html

He'd better stick to "Bing" and "Ding"....

And another day of Melania being MIA, no doubt raising her divorce settlement payout with her lawyers with each new courtroom bombshell...

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Still not sure what crime is alleged here.

I thought the same thing, but then I actually read the indictment and followed the case.

So it sure looks like third world banana republic tactics to me

No. A banana republic tactic would be letting the rich and powerful get away with breaking the law because they're rich and powerful.

I know that's exactly the kind of world "libertarians" pine for, but in a democracy, it's essential that even the rich and powerful are held to account for breaking the law.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

members are not there, no need to troll. None of us know why and speculating would be only that, speculating

Speculation only being speculation never stopped you from speculating about Biden. With no actual evidence let’s not forget.

So yeah, we’ll keep on speculating that even trumps family thinks he’s too toxic to be around right now.

Even Dahmer’s parents showed up in court for him.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Even Dahmer’s parents showed up in court for him

Right, but Dahmer's family actually cared about him. Very different.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

“I want to stress to Mr. Trump: you have an absolute right to testify at trial,” Justice Juan Merchan said.”

He really should testify. After whining so much about how he’s not allowed to speak he should get up there and tell ‘the truth’.

Let’s hear it.

“never fight uphill, me boys, bing bong ding”

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Speculation only being speculation never stopped you from speculating about Biden. With no actual evidence let’s not forget.

I didn’t. Just going by what the facts led out.

So yeah, we’ll keep on speculating

You can do that, no crime wrong though you may be.

that even trumps family thinks he’s too toxic to be around right now.

I disagree

Even Dahmer’s parents showed up in court for him.

Well, that’s Dahmer

The only thing up in their air so far from Trump's court cases to date, not counting the other three upcoming criminal trials....

Is who gets Trump Tower and Mar-A-Lago...E. Jean Carroll or Melania?

Maybe they'll cooperate and split them...

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The jury has quite a job on its hands in determining which lies are somewhat untrue, very untrue and those that are liar, liar pants on fire..

10 ( +10 / -0 )

That goes both ways.

It really doesn't, and the above proves that point.

Rightists have nothing other than "reverse uno." Pathetic.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Trump's "eye-candy" has seen a lot and now her tongue is under oath. Her testimony won't prettify the picture of Trump that the defense wants her to paint while the walls of evidence are clearly closing in on outlaw 45.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Stormcrow,a jury can make up their mind in the first minutes,if they heard enough evidence to sway their opinions, their is no set time for you to come to your conclusion, but when a verdict is rendered

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Are these “prosecution witnesses”? They are all helping Trump’s case rofl

another dud. Who’s next?

On Friday, however, Hicks, who served in the Trump Organization before joining the campaign and eventually the White House as a close advisor to the president, testified that Trump’s main concern following the leak was the impact on his wife, Melania Trump.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

But the former president reached new heights of incomprehensibility on Wednesday when he attempted to pronounce “infrastructure”

And this trial gives us another Trump nickname.

not counting the other three upcoming criminal trials....

nust have been a bad day in the actual trial huh buddy?

sad.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

No.

Yes, or you are saying you can control nature? You can control me or my feelings or what I say or do? No, you can’t. Ever. You have your opinion and I have mine.

One person makes a point, and the other person replying can only say, "that goes both ways," or " no, that's liberals." This isn't an actual argument or claim, it's just gibberish.

Ok, that’s how I feel about the lefts arguments.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

It’s not even a real word. lol

From a former loyal Trump fixer. Read out loud in front of Trump by a current loyal Trump lawyer to make a case against the gag order.

Yes, some comic relief.

Laura Ingraham is upset this was reported by CNN though. She thinks it demeans public discourse lol

how so? The payments are legal. the only alleged crime is the classification of the reimbursement to a lawyer.

of a legal payment negotiated between two lawyers as supposedly not being a legal expense.

Hope hicks knows zero about the details of the payments or the reimbursements. so her testimony was useless.

She only testified to try to embarrass Trump? That failed. Molineux on appeal, her forced testimony helps Trump. A lot.

Seems like a lot of liberals think they know the law as well, certainly on this site.

-18 ( +0 / -18 )

I'm ambivalent one way or the other. I don't like Mr. Trump but he's entitled to a fair trial.

I don't like the right very much. Mean-spirited conspiracy addicted robots.

I don't like the left too much. They aren't doing a lot for themselves. A lot of political correctness politically incorrect.

Either way, we aren't left with much. If the bombs don't kill us and if nature doesn't kill us, we're still in bad shape.

This trial is just another thing.

Let the truth be told, one way or the other.

Indeed - that's a felony - 34 of them...

It wasn't a legal expense, Pecker testified it was a payoff...to keep it secret before the election...

Hope hicks knows zero about the details of the payments or the reimbursements. so her testimony was useless. She only testified to try to embarrass Trump? That failed. Molineux on appeal, her forced testimony helps Trump. A lot.

She testified that Trump was worried about the stories impact on his election chances...BINGO! Election interference!

As your friend likes to say, "keep trying"...

The key question our MAGA-friends keep ducking - if Cohen is/was such a slimeball, why did he pay off Stormy for Trump using his own money? Why did Trump wait for six months to re-pay him and why was it done in $50K installments? Why weren't the payments recorded accurately, i.e., "reimbursement for payment made to Stephanie Clifford?"?

A generalization because in the last election, only 74 million voted for Trump out of a voting population of 240 million voters but last time only 159 million voted which gave Biden an historical win with 80 million. The highest ever.

Trump has thrown 90 members of his team under the bus. He is a serial.
