I wish Mr. Cheney a swift recovery. As a true patriot, Mr. Cheney's service to the Republic has been invaluable. Years from now, Mr. Cheney shall be remembered as one of the greatest political figures in American history. As he should.

You can be sure the docs and researchers who pioneered life extension surgeries and therapies are also of the 1 percent that so many "progressives" rail against. 99 percent of civilization's most amazing advances were made by less than one percent of the population.

Lieberman: "Shame? Cheney and his wife donate up to 40 percent of their combined income to charity."
Yes, it's a shame. Donating money doesn't make up for all the death and suffering he is responsible for.

Shame? Cheney and his wife donate up to 40 percent of their combined income to charity. That is millions of dollars.

A bit of a surprise that he met the criteria to receive a transplant - especially based on his age:

But like it says in Wikipedia, I guess different centers have different rules. And it seems that being part of the 1% surely doesn't hurt a person's chances either.

Under Bush, Cheney advocated an aggressive use of executive power, believing the president should be able to operate almost unfettered by lawmakers or the courts, particularly during wartime.
Like now?

Shame it won't change who he is, too.
