Glad I don't live in Chicago any more.

Former Senator and Ambassador Carol Mosely Braun comes in fourth? Embarrassing.

The country is definitely better off with Rahm as Chicago mayor than as White House chief of staff. He can't do as much damage this way.

I am sure Emanuels parents must be real proud of him!

Good. He'll be President one day. Nice to see more compassion and sense reestablishing itself around the American electorate.

"He'll be President one day."

I certainly hope not!

Her desperate rant accusing another candidate of being a "crack-head" at a candidates' forum was very embarrasing. Plus, I'm not sure she's that popular of a figure in Illinois anyway. She was pretty much only there since Jesse Jackson and the African-American coalition desperately wanted a black candidate... and she was the best they could come up with...

Congratulations!

YongYang - He'll be President one day.

Why would he take a step down? He can be Da Mayor for life and will have complete control of a city with only 1 political party.

There is no republican party in Chicago.

There is one, but the last Republican mayor (Big Bill Thompson) was one of the most corrupt mayors in American history. I think they'll get another shot someday as soon as a Democrat outdoes Thompson. They've had over 70 years to screw up, so one might say they're due.

After this election, what all is going to pay back the Daleys, I wonder.

I'll say it again, glad I'll never live in Chicago again.

Compassion? You must be confusing this Rahm Emanual with someone else. This Emanual is known to send a dead fish wrapped in paper (as in the Godfather movie) to a man who wrote a negative article about him. He's also given speeches punctuated by stabbing a table with a knife while naming Republican's and shouting the word,"DEAD". Emanual was Obama's go-to guy when he wanted to intimidate Democrats in Congress. Rahm plays very hardball politics and will continue to do so.

Dewaashita - After this election, what all is going to pay back the Daleys, I wonder.

Obama has already chosen Da Mayors brother Bill Daley to be his Chief of Staff. The same job that Emanual had. The Democrats simply swapped jobs.

was anyone seriously expecting a different outcome?
