Seriously - you actually think Trump manages much better? Can you recall any sort of debate or dialogue that anyone except pro-regime propagandists thought he handled well?

There is no way Biden could handle Trump for 3 hours. He can't even do 10 min. without wondering off. The Dems know this and that's why they don't want him to debate Trump and I get it, seriously!

Again - does anyone actually think he put in good performances in those debates?

Many of us do.

 not presidential performance.

well that's exactly what the 2020 election is about, Trumps 1st term performance and if hes competent enough to justify a second term. You dont need to answer we already know the answer

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Yet Chris Wallace actually praised Trump afterwards and called out Joe Biden. But just pretend that didnt happen.

of course because he want to be invited back , does not change the fact that he total debunked Trump on almost everything Trump has stated, funny how the facts will always belittle the deniers

Blacklabel was talking about performance in an interview in response to Simon Foston, not presidential performance. It's pretty clear from the post progression.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

lets compare Trumps performance to Bidens, then we will have a full picture.

well how can you compare performance to Biden when he hasn't even been president yet, let compare Trump to Obama, lets see Trump, worst recession in 90yrs, 40 million unemployed, crashed economy , worst social division seen in a generation, 140000 dead Americans, total failure in pandemic response,

total failure in international relations and policies all that in just 3.5yrs, and some people think Trump should be given a second chance LOL

I agree. I don't think Biden will do much better, but he's all the Democrats have.

No, everyone except “anybody but Trump” people want to know who and what they are voting for. Debates and interviews are part of this process.

and why would Biden even want to debate, Trump will just throw insults call him senile all to collect cheap political points with his base, Trump certainly doesn't have any future policies that are going to attract new voters. Biden so far just has to sit back and watch the Trump train fire heading for the cliff, so far everything that's caused Trump's rating to drop is all done by Trump himself. Trump is effectively winning the election for Biden single handed. lol

You aren't by any chance reluctant to say how you think Trump got on in that interview? You appear to be skirting the topic a bit.

It might as well not have. It's not as if it makes Trump's performance any better.

So just hide your guy in the basement then. Every interview is a disaster, even with notes and preapproved questions. See you at the debate Joe.

Tons of comments on what if Biden is interviewed. He wasn't involved, only Trump and Wallace. The article is about Trump's terrible interview, incapable of keeping up with Chris Wallace on Fox.

Trump got caught by himself lying(this is his current MO of eviscerating himself) because his staff didn't know that Biden hadn't said he supports defunding, and worse, Biden wanted to 'abolish' the police.

How stupid is it going to get?

It always seems the Trump people and he max out on stupidity, but then the next dumber thing happens, which shows the preparedness of the class clown in an intellectual debate.

Wallace only went in for an interview. Trump sees it as verbal(lying) boxing. Trump was a total mismatch vs. Chris Wallace. Technical KO.

What an absolute self-inflicted disaster for Trump. Here he was on his supporters favorite network, and he did nothing but choke...

When the president said that presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden wants to defund police departments, Wallace replied, “No, sir, he does not.” That led to a back-and-forth over whether Biden wanted to “abolish” police forces, with the president asking for help from press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, standing nearby. Because the interview was taped in advance, Wallace was able to add a voiceover that the White House could not provide evidence of the president's claim, “because there is none.”

Just one of many humiliations. He got called out on lie after lie...and made to look like a bumbling old fool...

At one point, Trump denied it when Wallace asked, “why on Earth would your administration be involved in a campaign to discredit Dr. (Anthony) Fauci?” Wallace then showed him a copy of an anti-Fauci cartoon shared on social media by a White House aide.

And Trump melted down even more. He really looked like a giant orange cream-cicle melting into an orange puddle...

Seems like Trump wants to brag and say he surpassed Jimmy Carter - as the incumbent President losing an election by the biggest margin in history...

If Biden wins because the majority of people vote against Trump, that's totally fine. As long as Trump is gone and the US can start repairing these 4 lost years. It was good to see Trump sweat in the interview (literally, as it was quite hot that day).

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Two failed leftist "journalists" (one a former CNN hack) applauding a fellow anti-Trump comrade? Stop the presses.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

the debates that got him elected President, to start.

That’s why he’s losing it over Biden refusing to debate.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I knew Trump never reads, so he 'asks' Kayleigh on Biden (not) defunding, going all Cars...'Let's Go!....but from that sequence, it's obvious no one else around him can read comprehensively, either. Someone should have told Trump immediately, he was wrong, but no one did. They're completely ignorant to a subject he's talking to Chris Wallace with. So inept and incapable. So laughable.

Yes, Donald, well done, that's an elephant.

Hush, hush. There's one in the oval office.

Some Republicans said it was time for Biden to get the same treatment. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called the interview a “big win” for Trump because “he proved he could take the heat.”

Stands to reason that pompous old has-been would be peddling pro-Trump fantasies. Maybe he's been taking PR lessons from Comical Ali.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Yes, Donald, well done, that's an elephant.

And 100 minus 7 - yep, that's a hard one, but you get full marks!

Genius!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

However it might have caused a lot of inconvenience for trump .

Between the WH bunker and the golf course, he doesn't have much time!!!!

7 ( +7 / -0 )

So just hide your guy in the basement then. Every interview is a disaster, even with notes and preapproved questions. See you at the debate Joe.

Same for Trump. lol If he is such a genius debater, I wonder why he'd threaten to pull out of the debates.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

So just hide your guy in the basement then.

Exactly. Trump is talking himself out of the presidency with his failure of leadership during Covid. Biden gains nothing from the debates. He can sit back and let trump talk. That’s the winning strategy right now.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

For a Fox interviewer it was good, Wallace asked some difficult questions.

But by general standards it was average, Wallace let him off on Russian bounties etc etc.

However it was great entertainment, trump coming across as stupid and ignorant .

Wasn't a surprise, but worth a few laughs!!!!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I'm honestly surprised Fox green lighted this.

Watch Trump run off crying to OANN to make him feel better.

I have no idea what you are talking about. There are debates already scheduled which will be held

And there is already talk of canceling.

They literally serve Biden zero purpose. They can only hurt him, and he’s already going to destroy trump without them.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

This is why interviews are necessary.

Millions unemployed, COVID-19 shutdowns, rioting in the streets

Joe Biden’s concern?

“I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith”

"impeach him if he wont debate!," you mockingly write. It is almost comical how the right changes their tune to whatever Donald says.

biden won’t be able to just butcher these even while reading prepared notes. Even today with notes on a friendly show that have him questions in advance he was babbling about “voter registration physicians”.

who supported the Trump's threat to bypass the commission on presidential debates.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Kudo's to Chris Wallace of fox not allow trump to lie without being fact checked. Sadly this presentation will not likely change the mind of many fox news viewers.

I know common sense and logic evade a lot of Fox "News" viewers.

Go out and ostracize a racial minority, demean an LGBT member, buy yet another gun, support trump, then go to church because you're a good evangelical.

When you get home, turn Fox back on.

Rinse and repeat.

No, everyone except “anybody but Trump” people want to know who and what they are voting for. Debates and interviews are part of this process.

A rather odd thing for a Trump fan, who supported the Trump's threat to bypass the commission on presidential debates.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

No, everyone except “anybody but Trump” people want to know who and what they are voting for.

I’m sure they do. But just as releasing tax returns was something trump decided didn’t benefit him, the debates are something that don’t benefit Biden.

He won’t do any this year. Covid provides a good excuse not to.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

can Joe Biden do the same?

Who cares - Biden doesn’t even need to do the debates. They don’t serve him any benefit. This election is a referendum on trump’s performance.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

He's just doing his job.

new liberal hero Wallace:

You’ve got to feel at some point he’s going to come out from the basement ... he’s gonna have to be more exposed and take questions just as tough as the ones I asked this president,” Wallace said. “He’s gonna have to do it with a bunch of people and, of course, he’s going to have those three debates with the president and you know that the president can handle himself in these debates... I think there is an open question there, can Joe Biden do the same?”

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Never in the history of the US has there been an executive as blatantly dishonest as Trump.

I didn't know there were honest politicians in the history of the US...But you are right, Trump is the worst so far.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Foxy fox..Ohh yeah Trump would love that..

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I thought it was comedy at its best.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Fortunately while the far right continue attacking a free, for-profit press there are still people of integrity like Mr. Wallace carrying on Constitutionally permitted duties to ensure elected officials remain honest. Never before in the history of the US have there been so many vicious attacks on freedom of speech led by the executive. Never in the history of the US has there been an executive as blatantly dishonest as Trump. Hats off to Mr. Wallace and Fox.
