I’m not a big fan of Ms. Kelly but nobody forks over $32 million because they did “nothing wrong.”

The release of the thank you notes is particularly galling. The implication is that if O'Reilly was an abuser, Kelly would not have sent them. In fact, it just shows how awful it was to be at Fox, that you still had to suck-up to people like O'Reilly while he had carte blanche to prey on women there.

Disgraceful organization.

Reeks of Murdoch.

Then an you might as well throw EVERY single media outlet in there.

But never convicted on anything, that’s not saying nothing happened, but a payout doesn’t necessarily mean that a crime was committed, if that were true then OJ would have had a needle in his arm a long time ago.

For some, perhaps.

If Bill was responsible and did what these ALLEGATIONS say, then he was rightfully terminated, but knowing how this business is, there are a lot of opportunists and it’s funny that Kelly, now coming forth with these allegations, had NO problem taking the money that FN gave her and her own show and a lucrative contract, that time she had no qualms about it, she could have spoken up about it, stood on principles and said, I’m not going to let this go, I’m going to fight it, but she kept quiet, took the money and never said a word and now she’s on a network with ratings as deep as puddle and will probably have the plug pulled under her very soon.

Yes, how convenient she wants to speak out now that she got paid at Fox News, then used that to get an even bigger paycheck at NBC. But now that her ratings are in the toilet, she wants to be relevant again by attacking someone (again).

Well if you want to know why more women don't speak out, look at the above. Bill has been exposed as a serial abuser, Fox has paid tens of millions of dollars in settlements, and despite that now being public knowledge, the first reaction is to throw skepticism at Kelly. Telling me that you'd believe her more when you didn't have confirmation of Bill's payouts is hard to believe.

now that she got paid at Fox News

Why wouldn't she get paid at Fox News? She worked for them. I hope you aren't saying that if a woman is abused at a company the first thing she should do is leave the company. She had every right to say and speak out to her bosses and make money while doing it. O'Reilly was the cancer that needed to be removed, not Kelly.

$32 million is a lot of money to pay out

That kinda shows how badly O'Reilly's team think they'd lose the case in court - that losing $32 million is the better alternative

Yes, of course, because s(e went forward with all of this ironically when her book was coming out, then all of a sudden she mentions Bill an Ailes when during her time a FNC she never came forward, never said a word and then she gets promoted, gets her own show, makes millions and still quiet, then when she’s on her way out, it’s now...oh, by the way....

Not defending O’Reilly, but I’m not going so far as to call Kelly a victim, opportunist, perhaps.

Im just a realist.

This is true and while none of us where there, if you pay someone $32 million quietly abs your employer tries to rehire you, something is definitely wrong.

Just liberals trying to distract from the fact that their guy Weinstein is cured of sexual addiction in 1 week of outpatient treatment and ready to go back to work.
