...and guess what religion those terrorist adher to. (According to the liberal media dogma, it could be any, of course.)

Terror security alerts? I guess the French - and the rest of Europe - like to live in fear. It's a shame a culture and society as refined and dynamic as France's can't, after all this time, produce a mature, even aged, hippy "libertarian" anarcho-syndicalist linguist to set the story straight, or even a rabble-rousing documentary film maker who would take on Sarkozy, splicing and doctoring news and interview footage where necessary.

And no one even thought of blowing themselves up in a burqua in France until they banned it. Way to go.

Next I suggest banning porn and see what it gets them. Why piss off a minority when you can have half the country up in arms?

Congratulations. From your purview there, hoisted upon your own petard, can you tell us why you automatically concluded Muslim women now suddenly think of blowing themselves up if denied a mere covering that you have argued is almost completely insignificant ?

that you have argued is almost completely insignificant ?

Just because I think that does not mean they think that. Nor does it mean I can convince them.

But it IS insignificant in the grand scheme of things to the country of France by any sensible measure, and I do expect the government to be sensible. Yet their legistature has passed a bill to ban it. Senseless.

In the past 4 years, France has seen, according to official police reports, 803 'failed, foiled, or succeeded' terrorist attacks.

Guess how many of those were 'Islamist' in nature?

ZERO

A fact that people need to keep in mind when reading these sorts of stories.

Indeed, it is rather interesting to look at the police stats, and see the rather glaring discrepency between what the public discourse (and, due to politics, police priorities) is, and what the facts suggest it should be.

You can visit the Europol site and see their published EU Terrorism Situation and Trend Report and see the numbers.

Source? I think the French government has a tendency to hold that sort of information back. I think if it was ALL Islamist, they just would not tell us. Not 100 percent sure, but until I see your source, that is what I am thinking.

The important thing here is, I don't know of any where a burqua ensured success of the attack.
