The vaccine does little to prevent transmission so these passes are more about control. They want people who don't need a vaccine to get it.

The fascist anti-Semite/Islamophobic loudmouth jerk Le Pen is behind much of this ruckus. When is this stupid crap gonna stop?

Interesting

Notice how little these vaccine/vaccine passport protests are NOT covered in the media.
Additionally, notice how these protests are not riots.
Gooch
You’re right. Macron is incurably stupid. And crooked.

France without weekly protests is like French food without baguette.
And I am French.
You can't imagine how some people never feel happy in this country, ot in fact are happy to show they will never agree with you just to exist, whatever the common sense provided.
People here have the means and time to protest loudly, usually setting fire to tyres and damaging cities' public equipment, at least.
So routine !
The pass is so easy to get after all (2 free jabs) and to use (5 seconds on your phone to make it appear) I wonder why you need to fight it...

Macron may or may not be a bright electric light bulb but he sure is smarter than that rabble-rousing Le Pen who is behind quite a bit of this stupidity. Le Pen is a racist stinky sack of crap.

the vaccine is safe and highly effective and if you willfully remain unvaccinated, very soon you will be shunned from society. The restaurants, no thank you. Your patronage is not wanted. No vaccine? Sorry, your ticket is invalid please see the box office for a refund.
Going to see the grand kids? No my on an airplane, you aren’t (of course if you’d like to embrace reality an get vac....) you drive the several thousand miles.
Welcome to the future. Anti-Vaxxers! AND it’s 100% legal thanks to Amy 3 names.!

Wasn’t Kathy Griffin’s career “cancelled” for this kind of tasteless effigy?? Looks like there’s 3 other photo’s to use.
‘Parody’ and ‘political commentary’ is fine and keep politicians on their toes. But this is not even ‘parody’ or ‘political commentary’. It’s just a man’s bloody head on a pike! -
Perhaps AFP, JT and all participating media need to reflect upon creating some standards of responsibility as they have for the readers & commenters?

Wrong, the vaccine has been proven to be a very effective way to both prevent transmission and reduce symptoms. But of course, you already know this.
Anti vaccers.... you may have valid points about excess profits of drug companies etc but constantly repeating lies about vaccines not working is getting sillier by the day as ICUs fill up with the non vaccinated.

The vaccines are pretty safe and and somewhat effective, for a number of months.
To be honest, I would rather sit beside an unvaccinated person on an airplane who is being careful than a vaccinated person spreading COVID casually. The vaccines seem to fail after a number of months which is why Israel is giving a booster to everyone over 50. Welcome to the future, virtually everyone will get COVID and overweight and obese folks will wind up in the hospital.

@proxy,
Thanks for saying the vaccine is safe and HIGHLY EFFECTIVE, and I’d rather sit next to a vacated person than someone like you. I think the rational majority agrees with me.

What do you consider "highly effective? Because if they don't last longer than 6 months and "fully vaccinated" people catch and spread COVID at about the same rate, I would not consider the current ones available highly effective. They do, so far seem to lower the chance of admission to hospital but plenty of folks who have been "fully vaccinated" have died from COVID. These shots are not a sterilizing vaccine like the smallpox vaccine. Try to stay up to date with the latest information.

Plenty? Really? The numbers who have died after contracting covid a full two weeks after the second dose of vaccine is tiny. I know for a fact that in Japan as of last Friday that figure is zero.
GdTokyo
99.99% of fully vaccinated do not end up in the hospital, do not end up needing a ventilator. That’s called “highly effective”
Here endith the lesson.
You’re welcome

Oh my goodness, there is always one.
Key word. Little. ...how little....
As a matter of fact, I just now begrudgingly leafed through the leftist so-called media in the US and didn't even see this very relevant and news-worthy story even being mentioned.

The facts are that the current vaccines are around 80% effective for the most vulnerable people, people over 80. I would not call the "highly effective," friend. And as the median age of people who have died from COVID is around 80 years old, that cohort is significantly smaller than it was a year ago, making the vaccines seem more effective than they really are.
The "cure" for people under 40 could have been pat your head and rub your tummy and it would be 99.99999999% effective at keeping that cohort off ventilators.
