At EU level, the right to strike is enshrined in Article 28 ‘Right of collective bargaining and action’ of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union
Workers and employers, or their respective organisations, have, in accordance with Union law and national laws and practices, the right to negotiate and conclude collective agreements at the appropriate levels and, in cases of conflicts of interest, to take collective action to defend their interests, including strike action.
So how French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne will enforce a policy of "requisition" of forcing a person to maintain an activity through employment, is somewhat of a mystery.

Worker: I’m working for this meager wage.
State: your choice. Our choice is batons, tear gas, fines and imprisonment.

@Rodney:
These employees are paid 5,000E/month on average.
This is more than twice the average salary for French workers.... The ones impacted by this strike.

I worked in Lyon, Caluire-et-Cuire, a secondment for a London based Bank.
Most weekends there was a demonstration of sorts, France Telecom etc. All non violent.
I understand your point, I found French political classes a struggle to understand.
