Haven't they banned guns in France?

It is happenning more and more this last year.
Justice not doing its job (a level of softness never known...) while police is understress because of past yellow vests events.
Prison are a joke where inmates make and broadcast youtube videos.
Result of immigration.
Already 20 years ago I lived in that area (departement in French) and crime was already high, with people not goi'g out after 22:00.

Very unusual outcome. Killing service staff over a sandwich? Hope they, and they will get him. He is a certified nut case. Hope the rest of his life involves prison staff showing him his meal then whipping it away.

Seems like a growing problem. Was the guy mentally deranged?

France has very strong gun control. That’s why this is a big news story over there, as opposed to any of the US shootings that happened today.

Apparently, not strong enough.
When a life is taken, it’s always big news, France is no exception to that.
Which are also big news, but now we also see that drugs might have played the role, but it’s easier and more accessible to get drugs in Europe so.....

Lets be clear. No one was shot and killed over a sandwich. This waiter was shot and killed because some nut got his hands on a gun. And nuts shoot people without any sort of sane reasoning whatsoever.....cause they are nuts. In fact, the nut was probably waiting for something he thought he could call an excuse for shooting someone....literally anything could have set him off....a glance....a housefly.... a happy "Hello!".

Perfection is unobtainable. Grow up. Murder is banned just about everywhere, but no one has eliminated murder. But those with less murder tend to be doing something right, just as those with less gun violence tend to be doing something right. As an American, your sour grapes comment smacks of childishness.

When they catch the perpetrator I am sure he will be locked up for a long time, good!, and when he's in prison he WILL have to wait for his food in a long line of other prisoners !!! what an idiot!
Mister X
Something tells me there is more to this story which will become clear when they catch the perpetrator.

Oh really? How many people are murdered in the USA every year? And if those, Howe many are "big news"?
If every murder was big news, there would be no room on the news for anything else.
Unusually, a single murder has been reported in France. Do you think that we would be reading about it if it had been a cashier in Baltimore?

No, it's restricted (not enough at my taste). He clearly had his gun illegally.
It's not big news here in France. I heard because it's my area. But in national news, there have been larger killings that day. Surprising to read it here on JT. They don't know how to fill.
Probably not. It seems it is a local loser involved with the gangs and with no personal relation with the victim. He seemed on high booze and/or on something.

In your imagination.

Is that a prejudice? Are you saying that Algerian or Libyan immigrants are to blame for crimes like this?
I don't know much about the 'yellow vest' rioting business going on in Paris but whatever the case, this is the case of a single jerk killing waiter over something stupid. And obviously stupidity is everywhere, not just in America.

You're claiming that an inanimate object forced this monster to kill someone. You are willing to excuse the action of this sub-human being. Some people want to end "gun violence" while others want to end violence. Ending violence means you have to address the human factor.
