Macron was extremely impressed.

French special forces will be using it very soon. A the Bastille show Zapata showed up dressed up as a special ops, holding a gun.

The future is here, since the 14 July 2019.

Japan better start working on this, fast..

If a small team of passionate people can do that, it should be easy to send men and women to Mars !

Congrats for the show.

And sure everyone would want one but not for kids, neither any adults, only pros under strict regulations.

It could save many lives for sure. Search and rescue mission in inaccessible areas.

Swat teams also to surprise or block terrorists.

20 hours of training required to even stand on it. 10 minutes of flight makes it a novelty only, unless you need to hop from mtn to mtn one time.

A quad copter belt would be more stable, but perhaps just a noisy as using jets. An ultralight aircraft with drop-away engine/carriage so the "special forces" can glide silently into a location would be more stealthy.

Remember the Dubai police that were going to use quad copters for traffic work? https://www.mirror.co.uk/tech/hoverbike-riding-police-take-air-11318819 That had 25 minutes of flight time.

It certainly looked impressive but

Zapata has been developing his hoverboard for the past three years, despite losing two fingers during its maiden flight in his garage near Marseille, when they got sucked into the turbines.

Having a turbine directly below your arms doesn't seem the safest arrangement. Bend your legs and it's bye-bye fingers.
