I hope that whatever vaccine I’m eventually given in Japan will be compatible with what the Canadian government requires for jumping quarantine.

Canada has approved the 4 vaccines we all expect:

Pfizer, Moderna, J&J and AZ.

Whatever the rules are for Canadians, I'd love to see those same rules apply to US visitors. Heck, I'd love to see the US implement the same rules as Canada, but that would cause a huge outrage about govt over-reach into personal health matters in the US.

Canada is keeping it's borders closed until it has a given percentage of its own population protected. Then they'll let people in. Until then, Americans can wait.

It's not like Americans have any right to be in the country or anything.

No, Canada is not keeping its borders closed. The articles says:

"Canadians who return home now through the land border must quarantine at home". Is there another land border other than the USA? So the Canada border IS open to Canadians.

Why are the Canadians entering Canada from the USA? It's not like Canadians have any right to be in the country or anything.

Why not let in fully vaccinated Americans?

Yep, this is where we are all heading---- a two-class society of those who accept the jab and those with restricted rights. George Orwell was so right.

Trudeau Extends Canada-U.S. Border Closure Yet Again, Until July 21

Not a right, but America has never cared about their people dying of covid, and Americans let them in, and want their money. So if the Canadians want to go, and are ok with quarantining, then why wouldn't they go?

Fully vaccinated Canadian citizens who test negative for COVID-19 will be exempt from two weeks of quarantine when returning to the country in early July, officials said Monday.

Happy for the Canadians. Japan should follow suit.

The border between Canada and the U.S. remains closed to all nonessential travel.

Why not let in fully vaccinated Americans?
