Add water, flooding the tunnels, that would stop all but the most ambitious. And even then it would make it very difficult to safely do the tunnels.

Purge the tunnels with smoke. that way you may find any vent shafts for them. Then purge them with nitrogen. That should take care of any smugglers.

Smugglers say the wall was never a serious obstacle, and they are far more worried about competition from consumer goods being brought to Gaza legally...

Mostly made in China...

And only a few sadists support the walls.

It wouldn't be smuggling if Palestine were free to import and export whatever it chooses, like .. I dunno .. Israel and Egypt are free to do.

I'll bet they'd import weapons and bombs, and export terrorism.

Sarge, indeed some would, but the overall majority of the population would benefit from the importation of everyday goods that are taken for granted in both Israel and Egypt.

Not every Palestinian is a terrorist, yet they are all treated as such.

Systematically reducing the Palestinians freedom and access to a normal life, by creating walls and imposing sanctions, will cause more and more Palestinians to turn to extremism every day.

If the Palestinians would get themselves some decent leaders instead of Hamas, there wouldn't be a need for a blockade.

Give up, Sarge, you're talking to a wall. :)

And by the way, it doesn't look to me like kids in Gaza are dying of malnutrition...

(CNN) -- More than 7,200 children in Gaza dribbled their way to an unofficial record Thursday night at an airport in Rafah, officials from a United Nations agency said. Relief agency spokesman Chris Gunness said the mass-dribbling record still needs to be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records. Organized by the U.N. agency, the Great Gaza Global Bounce is part of the annual Summer Games program that provides recreational activities for more than a quarter of million children across Gaza.

Who said they were? BTW, impoverished inner city black kids have also been known for their basketball dribbling. It hardly justifies the oppression that put them there and keeps them there.

Well, they won't get leaders you find appealing so long as they live in poverty and want. Beating them into submission won't work. Its been tried.

Too bad...

That's a 2 way street MistWizard. Beating the Israelis into submission won't work either. They are backed into a corner so jab at them and they'll bite back. Too Palestinians are too dumb to see that.

Sad but true. The extremists here aren't willing to listen to reason, so theres no real point in attempting to reason with them. They'll just come back with some nonsensical rant, like Sabi always does.
