Unfortunately, Israelis who commit such crimes are never punished, and they know it.

And are Palestinians who commit them? And they know it. Maybe it's best to let them fight it out in an all out war. But then the Palestinians know they'd lose everything. Their only option is compromise but the idiots in Hamas continue to put Palestinians between a rock and a hard place.

Well, prisoners in an concentration camp who are forced to live under such conditions are entitled to fight back. If only Israel would treat others as human beings and respect international law, the rockets would stop immediately.

Agree with the sentiment, but nothing is going to come of this.
Indeed, this whole issue puts the Palestinian Problem in a nutshell. What is wrong with making an effort to drag the Palestinians out of abject poverty and desolation, combined with high infant mortality rates. If Israel really wanted peace with the Arabs, it would take a long, hard look at itself and realize that the conditions of the Palestinian Refugee Camps are little different from the Warsaw Ghetto and Hitler's Germany. Without addressing and improving the lives of a people who have been largely forgotten by international politics, there will be no end of the problems of the Middle East.

Refugee Camps? There is a town there. I don't see the Palestinians utilizing the land as the Israelis do. When they do they may start improving their lives. Instead of whining about where they are and only looking for handouts. Where are their rich Arab brothers helping them to build a decent society with the land they presently have? Keep feeling sorry for yourselves Palestinians. I started not feeling sorry for you long ago.

The Palestinians can't import what they need and they cannot export what they produce. Much of the humanitarian aid is blocked by the Israelis.
Basically, the Israelis are intentionally making a living hell for all Palestinians.
Who is whining now? The report was even too gentle on the Israelis, and they have the chutzpah to whine. As for handouts, the Israelis are getting $15,000,000,000 (yes, $15 BILLION) every year from the US.

As long as the Palestinians use terrorism as a response to injustice, whether it be real or imagined, they will always live in ghettos. They could disarm tomorrow and take away Israel's justification for the use of force overnight, but they continue down the path of an armed struggle against an opponent who can easily overpower them, and they give their opponent legitimacy in their actions by deliberately targeting civilians.
The firing of thousands of rockets over a decade negates any pressure the Western world can put on Israel. If the Palestinians renounce terrorism, the pressure the West could put on Israel would be immense. But for now the Palestinian rockets and suicide bombers give Israel all the protection they need from Western pressure, and pressure from the West is the only thing that can force Israel to change, not handicapped 16-year old suicide bombers. The Palestinians militants are their own worst enemies.
bushlover
SuperLib yes they are their own worst enemies. But you'll have a hard time to convince tunnel vision Palestinians about that. It's gotta be the culture!! Maybe something to do with that religion of peace I wonder... Who is whining now? Looks like you are sabi. The culture of "feel sorry for oneself" should be shed for a more positive outlook. Only then will you get somewhere.

Well, this isn't true. Most of the Humanitarian aid is deliberately allowed in by Israel. Constant attempts to smuggle arms has forced Israel to clamp down occasionally though.
The report was exceedingly harsh and obviously one sided. Particularly lacking notes on the extreme efforts Israel went through to avoid civilian casualties. And the amount of Aid the US ought to be giving is light, it should be 25 billion, not 15.
As SuperLib noted. All the Palestinians need to do, is renounce terrorism and violence. Disarm, and Israel will be forced to negotiate seriously with them. Hamas however which has vowed to destroy Israel cannot allow this.
