In State like Georgia and with the crime soaring and that’s heavy in Atlanta is that really the wise thing to do?

Wow, bass, we actually agree on this!

Republicans argue that requiring a carry permit, which costs about $75, infringes on Second Amendment gun rights.

Actually, “the right to bear arms” shall not be infringed. The 2nd Amendment doesn’t specifically mention guns.

I demand I be allowed to carry a Javelin anti-tank weapon everywhere, including on an airplane. Otherwise, according to a strict GOP reading of the Constitution, my rights are being infringed.

makes sure that law-abiding Georgians, including our daughters, and your family too, can protect themselves

. . . as long as they are white. Otherwise they’ll be treated as a threat to public safety.

It immediately allows permitless carry in Georgia, making it the 25th state with such a law,

25th state with such a law, That's the part that got me.

Well, people that live outside of Atlanta do want to keep their cities free from rising crime and who could blame them.

You mean the way to tell a good guy with a gun from a bad guy with a gun is the color of their skin?

Another reason why relaxed gun laws are a big mistake.

Race argument again? Yaawn…no, by the city and county you live judged by the crime rate.

Another reason why relaxed gun laws are a big mistake.

Again, particularly for that city. Head scratcher for sure

If one wanted to be an absolutist one could argue the 2nd Amendment grants the right of Americans to own any kind of armament from simple handguns to missiles, even mortars or artillery. Most of those are not. Once cannot legally own a fully automatic weapon except in limited instances with special licensing but things like bazookas, RPGs, anti tank missiles, all of which are man portable are emphatically not legal. But how does the legal profession and the courts justify banning one weapon but allowing others? Semi-automatic AR-15 is legal but the nearly identical fully automatic M-16 isn't. Why? I can legally own a .50 cal "sniper rifle" but not a .50 cal machine gun. The whole right to bear arms thing seems kind of conditional.

But wait, the 2nd Amendment says something about "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" but the courts have ignored that provision of the 2nd Amendment as do most firearms enthusiasts. What the founders I think envisioned was something closer to how the Swiss organize their reserves with all men keeping a military grade firearm at home to be used for military training and if necessary the defense of their nation. That implied some regulation by the state to ensure there was trained militia ready to fight. Not a case where any half wit can own a gun for whatever purpose that crosses their possibly feeble mind.

I don't know. Seems kind of odd that in a state whose population is 32% black Kemp is surrounded by nothing but white people.

But particularly in Atlanta where crime is on the rise why on earth would this man allow for more guns on those streets?

Pretentious, made up & hyperbolic scenarios do nothing to further resolve gun issues and quite frankly, are utterly insulting to the families and survivors of gun violence.

There are enough real accounts to cite.

Is it so much to ask leaders and the self-appointed righteous to “Do better.
