"Under Georgia law, it is illegal for any third party to pick up and drop off ballots for voters, also known as ballot harvesting. According to reports, at least 242 people made over 5,000 ballot drop-offs during the Georgia Senate runoff elections."

same as in many other states. For Pennsylvania, they said its not fair to investigate only the people they can identify on video- so they chose to investigate no one. At least Georgia appears to be putting something more solid into place than that for 2022. (because their governor wants to keep his job in the election coming up)

The coup against democracy continues in Red States across America as anti-democratic Repub Governors and Legislatures continue to push The Big Lie...

The "election was stolen" fantasy is the Repub equivalent of Russia's "small military operation to De-Nazify Ukraine"....nothing but clear lies and propaganda...

All the while the Jan 6th Commission provides more and more evidence of the planned coup and assault on the Constitution by Trump and his band of criminals...

These Red State Repubs have more in common with Putin, Xi, and The Mullahs than they do Eisenhower, Reagan, and Bush...

Instead of making me check out where this citation comes from, you could have mentioned it upfront.

It's from The National Desk, which is a Sinclair Broadcast Group outlet, which is basically Trump propaganda.

"According to reports"

What reports? Some Cult 45ers who report that election fraud took place.

It's astounding that a state legislature uses such flimsy evidence to specifically target Democratic voters. It's not about "election integrity". It's a BIG LIE.

I wonder of this "election crimes" unit will investigate this corroborated instance of election fraud in Georgia;

*A Republican Florida attorney is at the center of a new state investigation after elections officials say he recently *attempted to register to vote in Georgia and instructed other Florida Republicans on how to do it .

*Bill Price is seen in a now-deleted Facebook Live video, speaking to the Bay County GOP members in Florida on Nov. 7th. It was about half an hour after the election was called for the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket.*

Nah, doubt it....

Why? Because they allow the former President to have a platform, that’s makes them officially a propaganda machine for Trump? ROFL

Hardly.

Yes.

News outlets are meant to report news, not provide a platform. That's what distinguishes journalism from propaganda.

News outlets are meant to report news,

Sadly, they’re not doing that.

That's what distinguishes journalism from propaganda.

So why is CNN on the air still? They’re struggling big time, barely can stay on the air. Looks like it’s time for Musk to buy them out.

As for absentee ballots:

Absentee ballots are an option for registered voters who prefer to vote by mail instead of voting in-person. You do not need an excuse to request an absentee ballot. You must request an absentee ballot in order to receive one in the mail. Your absentee ballot must be received by your local County Board of Registrar's Office by the time polls close on Election Day in order to be counted.

Ref: https://georgia.gov/vote-absentee-ballot

It is perfectly legal for a family member to drop off absentee ballots for other members of the family.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/mar/30/facebook-posts/georgia-voting-law-does-not-make-it-crime-drop-gra/ Ga. Code Ann., § 21-2-385

The goal of the law seems to be to prevent "bingo nights at the church" turning into "how to vote" events, complete with ballots. This really isn't easy, since only people who requested absentee ballots would get them and the number of ballot drop-off locations has been drastically limited by the GOP when they passed laws last year to make voting harder.

At every voting location, there are people and methods to assist with voting by disabled people:

The GBI isn't partisan, but it does lean right. I've never had any fear when dealing with GBI officers. I know a few socially through friends and from the gun range. Some are brilliant. Others, not so much on specific topics. Their IT guys are hit-and-miss. Just depends on the specific topic and technology involved. They have a difficult task in understanding the often vague laws passed by the legislature ... which is mostly b-level lawyers with little technical skill.
