Raffensperger is an honest man. That has been proven.
But Trump and his followers believe that birds aren't real, and other conspiracy theories.
In Georgia, our choices for most offices are terrible. At this point, I just want to vote for honest people who aren't tied to Trump.
There was another article here that claimed a GA politician/football player didn't show up to a debate last month on May 24th. The comments were closed. Alas, today is May 2nd, so something smells bad about that story.
The debates are mainly for news organizations, so they can highlight differences in candidate stances. In state and local elections, there just isn't the same coverage that Prez elections garner, so we don't really know where they stand ... beyond the D and R after their names. Sadly, almost all R-tagged people have been liars and are unwilling to play fair. A few D-tagged people are also liars, but the ratio is tiny compared the the R-politicians. No D-politicians will will here in local elections. Statewide, there is hope.
The election this fall is mainly about the Governor and 1 US Senator seat. The local representatives really have a limited ability to impact national policy. It is mostly about school boards, education, zoning, cityhood, and health standards here. My county has excellent health professionals, but the politicians are idiots and overruled common sense suggestions. The county has 5 of the top schools in the state too, but the school boards, again, are overruling the health professionals for covid safety. Idiots.

What a shame that Raffensberger, Pence, Kitzinger, and Cheney are the only Repubs with enough courage to stand up for our democracy and fight the fascists who tried to outright stage a coup and steal a free and fair election - just like in some banana republic...
That The Big Steal lie permeates the Repub electorate just shows how far they have strayed from our Constitution and towards authoritarianism and despotism...
Thank goodness the coup leader is under four criminal investigations, to include his obstruction phone call to Raffensberger to "find votes"....
"Find", as in "create"....just like the "fraudulent electors" and "fake certification lists"...
plasticmonkey
Jody Hice is either a complete moron or utterly bereft of moral integrity. Georgia already did a number of audits (under a Republican administration, no less), and the results were found to be in order.
The end game is not to discover some smoking gun; the end game is to sow permanent doubt about any election won by Democrats. Shame on people like Jody Hice.

Hardly, these are the Washington establishment that the people are trying to make unemployed. Any politician or in this case Republican that goes against the larger public in trying to depose a duly elected President should by no means hold any office.
I think that is the only card the Dems have and they will continue to tell themselves this until November and maybe beyond, but it won't matter spit.
Blacklabel
no "find" as in "find".
like I have keys, but dont know where they are at the moment.
I need to find them.
Strangerland
How do you "find" something that doesn't exist?
Say Trump's comments in a mob voice, and you see how they're pretty nefarious.
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
Nonsense. He said find the exact number of voted needed to give him a win. How does one just "find" the votes needed to win? It's quite clear he meant "find" as in "create."
Thank goodness for honest people like Brad Raffensperger
SuperLib
You'd have to be an idiot if you think election fraud happened in GA. It's all just made up nonsense with no evidence.
Trump lost. Get over it.
lincolnman
What's "make unemployed" mean?
Duly elected? You already admitted Biden won the election and is the legitimate President. Another flip-flop?
The smoking gun was Trump telling Raffensberger to "find votes".....and creating "fraudulent electors and phony certification lists"...
Hilarious. Find as in "you and the Repub Governor have certified the vote and it is accurate - but I don't like the result so go make up 11K more votes so I win"....
Like finding "JD Mandel"...LOL...
SuperLib
The judge who allowed the Trump phone records to be handed over mentioned Trumps' claims He wasn't looking to find fraud, he was looking for enough votes to win. The judge mentioned the difference.
bass4funk
Something to happen soon to the people you mentioned, stay tuned.
“I was talking about Trump.” You don’t need to move the goalpost
Don't worry, the changing of the guard starts in November, so good stuff ahead for Dems, I hope more stay and don’t continue to bail as they are.
bass4funk
You will never change the mind of millions that think otherwise.
Ok, we shall see now that Twitter is changing and dissenting voices will now be able to challenge the election results.
We know. Like Musk said, we need to see Twitter’s algorithms on how they worked and were programmed during the election and if Twitter complies we will know and if they don’t, then we will know!
Blacklabel
If my lunch costs 900 yeah I need to “find” 900 yen, at least. It doesn’t exist in my hand but when i go look for it and find it, then it does exist.
lets not pretend we don’t know one of the usages of the word “Find”
One of those illegal ballot harvesting boxes could have not been picked up and needed to be found.
Blacklabel
By looking for it, and then realizing it does exist when you find it.
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
Also known as making it up.
Blacklabel
Also known as looking and finding something you think doesn’t exist.
beer didn’t exist in my house. Unbeknownst to me, my gf bought some. So when I looked in the downstairs fridge instead if my fridge, I found it. Existed the whole time.
Blacklabel
The Georgia election was a mess. There are several open lawsuits right now about chain of custody and other issues. By the way ballot harvesting is illegal in Georgia and there are multiple videos showing people doing just that
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
No it wasn't. Trump supporters are just angry, because they lost.
It's telling that they only question the states where Trump lost. What a coincidence, huh?
Right, and their is also a grand jury weighing whether Trump broke the law.
Blacklabel
“Harris County elections administrator resigns after thousands of primary ballots found uncounted”
“found”. After election in Texas.
these existed, were not created or made up, but were found.
lincolnman
Oh, what Trump's been since 2020....LOL....
So was Biden legitimately elected in 2020 or not? Note - your archive already says you stated he was...
So I guess you're voting for JD Mandel....good luck with that...
Sure, like that MAGA-led audit that was done in Arizona - that found votes - more votes for Biden....LOL....
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2021/09/the-arizona-election-audit-reveals-more-votes-for-biden-no-evidence-of-fraud.html
SuperLib
No sane people believe Trump won. Just the crazies with their heads up his rear.
Blacklabel
At least finally grown people can understand and admit what “find/found” actually mean.
SuperLib
Do you think Trump legitimately won or did Biden? You go back and forth saying you don't believe it but millions of idiots do.
SuperLib
The judge didn't agree. Get over it and move on with your life.
Jimizo
It may be worth remembering that Trump claimed election fraud on 3 separate occasions to my knowledge, and I’ve often wondered if some sign up to all 3 or take a buffet-style approach to this.
Regarding 2020, there are different shades. Some try to salvage a sliver of credibility by taking the rather pathetic ‘who knows?’ approach - a bit slimy. I prefer those who have the honesty to completely humiliate themselves by believing it despite lack of evidence.
Jimizo
Should have written ‘election fraud in 3 different elections’.
bass4funk
Well, Trump should get over it, it's over, let's hope the Dems will get over themselves when they lose the House and Senate. Not one word.
That will fold as well.

Unlikely. The kinds of conservatives who get involved in politics appear to be sore losers. I expect this will invite a response along the lines of "we think the same about liberals" but that's just feeble 'right back at you' stuff which indicates intellectual vacuity.
bass4funk
That will change in November.
I disagree, factually, that is what it means.
starpunk
Trump is not a Republican nor a Democrat. It's high time the GOP realizes that. And purge their party of these fascists.
83 million + Americans have spoken. Those 60+ bogus lawsuits went nowhere. And Joe won enough states even without Georgia to win.
Quit wasting everyone's time. Trump is a sore loser and a violent traitor. Arrest him so we can move on.
bass4funk
True, he's a conservative.
So that is why they and we are trying to get rid of the radical Washington establishment Republicans.
Ok, we keep hearing that and until Musk bought out Twitter, we had to talk about only that same talking point, but that has changed, more to come.
Why? I think as Americans now and more than ever do we have the absolute right to talk about election irregularities.
Did you feel the same about Hillary when she lost? Honestly?

Got your family kitted out in matching "GOP House and Senate 2022" t-shirts and hats, then?
Sorry but honestly, do you have some kind of problem? I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.
