Only the lowest of the low would put a barbecue over the safety of others.

It depends on who is at the BBQ.

I see no harm if it was family only. But if friends & relatives are visiting, that would be a problem.

Please explain how being inside with your family in a closed poorly ventilated room is safer than being in the fresh air in your own backyard getting some vitamin D and sunshine.

Is it their backyard, or it a common space?

If the latter, it is irresponsible and helps contribute to the risk of spreading the virus.

Please explain why your barbecue should take precedence over the lives of others?

Only the lowest of the low would snitch on their neighbor for having a barbecue.

Rubbish. People who think they are somehow above the law deserve to be snitched on. People like these are the ones responsible for spreading the virus around with no regard for society. Fine them and hit them hard.
