Newlyweds with kids are not exactly newlyweds are they?
P.S. Right now, take out a pen and a small piece of paper, write down your significant others' cell phone numbers, and put it in your wallet or purse. Cell phones get lost, broken and batteries die.

ControlFreak - so do purses. And read the story again, she didn't have a phone with her.

Who takes children with them on their honeymoon?
darknuts
She should divorce him.
ControlFreak
@hoserfella--Yeah. I knew that when I wrote it. Most people carry cell phones, and I directed that at JT readers, not her.
And what you missed is that it seems she left her purse in the car (assuming she owns one like most women)(sigh). She had no money, not even coins for a call from a pay phone.
Yeah man. Purses get lost. Everything gets lost. Just throw your hands in the air and give up. All you do is futile, cause stuff gets lost. (sigh).

Autobahn gas stations have people going in/out all the time. Simply ask to borrow someone's phone. Eventually someone is going to let you use theirs. I personally don't have a problem. I've got unlimited minutes on my T-Mobile Deutschland phone.

darknuts: "She should divorce him."
A bit extreme, I would say. He obviously didn't intend it, and fortunately while the mistake was quite stupid, his better half seems quite forgiving. Give him an earful and perhaps no nookie on the wedding night, but divorce is a bit strong and vapid.

Even brides get lost. LoL!

I don't think this marriage is going to last long.

A new hubby, I wouldn't have memorized his number yet.
Forgot to drop them at grand-parents. He had not noticed they were still in the back of the car.

Jeez, give the guy a break, he didn't forget her, he thought she was asleep in the back of their mini-bus.

Before mobile days, my friend actually left one of his 5 kids at 7-11 on the way home, and did not notice that until they got to Wyoming. The story ended okay without any incidents.
