good move. Seriously all the people already getting fed up with the illegal immigration. If you really wish to go and live and work in any specific country, please go there with proper channels and permits!

Pummel my consciousness everyday with how people are desperate to get to my country.
Actually, I wonder if they'd let me in to theirs as I'm from a dump.

And the dream of Schengen dies with little fanfare. NGL, it was 'raku' to travel across European countries without any stops and checks, but the price for that freedom was too high.

The problem with complaining about "illegal" immigration is that it barely exists these days. According to asylum laws in almost every western nation, the entire world has the legal right to show up at the border, apply for refugee status, and remain while their case is being processed. If they are rejected, they can re-apply indefinitely by claiming material facts in their case have changed. Illegal immigration doesn't really exist as long as the current asylum framework remains in place.

Germany waking up to reality. Sadly too little too late. Unless they come up with a "repatriation" scheme.
Hopefully other countries will follow and stop the flow of illegal economic migrants.

Useless panic activity. Too late is too late. It's not a sign of intelligence if they are trying now, after so many years of ignorance, to turn time back in the hope of making their big errors undone.

I am glad to hear that Germany is finally addressing this. Now hopefully irregular migration will be taken more seriously just like other “irregular” activities such as theft or driving “irregularly” without a license.

Those illegal emigrants only want to go to those European countries for free Social Welfare, not to actually contribute to anything to the society. Plus they will never adapt and adopt the local culture and customs.
Especially the ones from Islamic countries.

Scholz is, as par for the course with technocrats and socialists, totally disingenuous in this action. He's not doing it to stem the tide of migration and the crime that some migrants commit. No, it's to try to tamp down the rise of his political rivals, the AfD. If Scholz gave a damn about his country, he would've shut the gates long ago.

In the Netherlands, Prime Minister Dick Schoof on Friday unveiled the country's strictest migration policy yet, saying it will request an opt-out from EU common policy on asylum next week.
.
Will Germany and France and the rest, allow this ?
After all, the eu is one big family.
And like any large family there will be decent and disagreement.
.
Germany putting up border control inside the eu, goes against the freedom of movement policy.
.
What is going to happen next in/to the eu ?

Israel needs constant wars and weakened states around it in order to stay as an occupier. That chaos is one of the driving factor generating the irregular immigration to Europe today. And Europe has been supporting that injustice unconditionally. The eventual fallout is ruining good things both for Europe as well as overwhelming majority of immigrants who just want a better life. As long as the malice generated by Israel keep going, Europe is going to be affected one way or another due to geographic proximity.

With Schengen done, it is only a matter of time until the Euro goes away.
