If there were any justice in the world, this would stiffen the resolve to send the missiles to Ukraine.

Surprise, Putin work for year in East Germany, sure he still has contacts.

One has to wonder about the veracity of the Russian recording. But if it is genuine then Herr Scholz has a real problem within the upper echelons of Luftwaffe commanders. In a democratic government you simply cannot allow your Generals to plot ways to go around the civilian government. I still have to wonder if, in an age of AI and knowing how Russian propaganda works, this recording is not a GRU and/or SVR fabrication.

Also, if the recording is indeed genuine then the Germans have another problem in terms of their operations security. It's not a good thing if your adversaries can listen to your encrypted phones, encrypted radios, or encrypted VTCs. It is another problem if your top commanders are discussing sensitive matters on non encrypted devices. Big D'oh and a head slap.=

It's a 38 minute conversation amongst 4 flag officers of the German command. German media outlets have confirmed the authenticity. They are scrambling to acid wash it from SM.

If you bother to listen to it, one of the participants notes that missiles sent will not change the course of the conflict. They also brazenly mention all the NATO people over there and what they are doing.

Last year we were told that it's Kremlin propaganda and nato is 'not involved'. The lies deepen.

Any sensible person can go to any German media website and establish that it is an actual recording of four Germans talking, done February of this year.

Who leaked it - start with the four people and try to work it out from there.

Transcript was posted last Friday. Told it was false, Full conversation, posted for the sceptics, took place on 19/2. One of the participants was Brig Gen. Frank Gräfe. Gen Ingo Gerhartz is also talking too. Both Luftwaffe and in the Berlin command.

Russians be acting like there is a scandal here even if it’s true.

Unlike in Russia, NATO countries couldn't hide the death of their active duty personnel.

No surprise. German intelligence has always been riddled with lots of East Bloc spies and moles since the end of WW2.

The more aid Ukraine gets, the more they can continue sending the invading fascists to hell.

Win-win.

They mention, in the course of their 38-minute discussion, the possibility of their missiles hitting Moscow. Little surprise the Kremlin has launched this crackdown on their European border and the traditional invasion routes from that direction.

They probably shouldn’t have invaded Ukraine in the first place, then they wouldn’t need to do the above. And Russians wouldn’t be living in abjext poverty on $150/month.

Important to keep in mind that Putin is fluent in German. He obviously had a good listen to the 38 minute discussion and knows full well what these people were plotting.

The elephant

“In this (...) recording, high-ranking Bundeswehr officers discuss how they will bomb (attention!) the Crimean bridge,” she wrote on the Telegram messaging app

I'm sure many won't get it, or just ignore the implications here.

Also important to consider the Snowden revelations in context. The upper echelons of the German government were being bugged and more by certain quarters. Obviously, Berlin took measures between then and now. While SVR penetration is the 'thing', perhaps a far simpler explanation explains itself: there is an internal mole hunt going on right now in Berlin and beyond. Can almost hear the Lugers cocking.

Yes, if you invade people needlessly you should expect military threats from that direction.

Russia can't afford translators?

Germany today is far more civilized than to murder its own people without trial, unlike Russia.

Germany is also the ones who told us France and UK have military inside Ukraine borders after their denials.

Germany is also the ones who told us France and UK have military inside Ukraine borders after their denials.

And that should have made you happy if you were a patriot. Fortunately if they are active duty they are most likely of the deniable kind.

And advisors and intelligence officers are hardly an army.

but they are NATO military. who we were told are not there but are. Despite your “difference without distinction” that they are just not “an army”.

Plus the US has had CIA bases since 2014.

Clear Germany's divided internally on facilitating further escalation in Ukraine and obvious WW III risks. Makes sense, best to get Ukraine 10year Civil War folks to settle this regional matter peacefully, not destroy the world.

Trump would prefer to be the one to bring 10year Civil War to an end, but better ASAP, as too risky, deadly and costly to wait. WW III over Ukraine Civil war = Insanity.

Now there is possible evidence that Germany attacked the bridge in Crimea!

How should the Russians react to this act of aggression from Germany?

It doesn’t look positive…

Sounds like a conspiracy theory.
