Germany: Quitting Russian oil by late summer is 'realistic'

One more example that Putin's Ukraine invasion was even worse than Bush's 2003 Iraq fiasco...

Germany shutting down Nordstream 2 and refusing any more Russian oil and gas, Sweden and Norway joining NATO...which one is the bigger "unintended consequence" of Putin's failed judgment?

Russia just made it's debt commitment this month - but default is in the cards - how proud will Putin be when his economy is rated the same as Rwanda...

Just a massive failure by every measure...and the victims are the Russian and Ukrainian people...

Now, this is just oil, and oil purchased by Germany directly from Russia for domestic German use.

How the finer details play out in real life is going to say a lot.

Poland and Bulgaria 'weaned themselves off of Russian gas' by buying their gas from Germany, which had to buy the gas from Russia.

This weaning is likely going to similarly not result in less revenue to Russia.

Two separate worlds…. The countries that respect thy neighbor should not do business with those (or those guilty by association) countries who viciously assault their neighbors. It’s pretty damn clear.

Sorry, Norway was NATO member since 1949

Sweden and Finland gonna join NATO.

They have this intention for many years and they have a close cooperation with alliance

So - nothing new.
