wolfpack:

her support for essentially unregulated abortion up to the day of natural birth.

Christ. Talk about lying. You anti-choice religious extremists are 'pro-life' until the baby pops out. Then you don't give a damn. I don't see people like you offering financial help to dirt-poor mothers, adopting babies, putting your guns away, doing anything to stop kids' lives being taken away at mass shootings at schools, putting a stop to the death penalty, stopping the killing of black people minding their own business. Pro-life, my eye.

*The Trumps' 'respects' is a total sham.*

Yes, any adult person who has the perception to read human body language could see right through Trump swaying and hiding expressionless behind the black mask that almost obliterated his face but could not conceal his zero lack of empathy because, as we all know, RBG was "not his type".

One of the most interesting phenomena after the death of RBG are the number of people who had to Google "Ruth Bader Ginsberg" to find out who she was and why her death was significant - suddenly pronounce to the world on social media that they had "lost a personal hero"

A bit confusing. Are you trying to say that the people who Googled “Ruth Bader Ginsburg” later said they had “lost a personal hero”?

If that’s what you are trying to say, I don’t see how you’ve made that connection based on what you posted. Please clarify it for us

Treasontrump, with his false tribute to democratic traditions is unworthy to attend Ginsburg's viewing or her funeral. He has zero rerspect for anyone or anything other than himself. The Trumps' 'respects' is a total sham.

they would immediately fill the seat with a liberal,

Wrong. Obama and his administration did everyone a solid by trying to nominate a moderate and centrist in Merrick Garland. He was a well-respected candidate and there were several Republicans who found him to be suitable. Unfortunately, those like McConnell didn't care who it was that was nominated and refused to even have a hearing, even though the election was 9 months away.

Now, the GOP wants to hire as far right a judge as they can. But it doesn't surprise me, since hypocrisy is the GOP's middle name nowadays.

Also, it's about time we used Lindsey Graham's words against him, since he said it himself that in an election year, the people need to decide on the next Justice.

Money is the constitution, those who have access to money, will have access to the court

Trump has a much of a chance going to prison as Hillary does, that’s a factual reality

The grand jury in Manhattan is investigating Mr. Trump and his businesses for illegal campaign payments ( campaign money used to pay two porn stars to remain silent regarding extramarital affairs with Mr. Trump ), criminal tax fraud, falsification of business records, insurance fraud and scheme to defraud. I would not be too sure that Mr. Trump would not go to prison upon conviction of any of these.

Fewer Republicans attended the service

The R's, especially the Trump R's, have little if any respect for judges, or people in general for that matter who value the rights of an individual as highly as Justice Ginsburg did.

The R's, especially the Trump R's want judges who'll side with corporations, the 'elite' 'establishment' to ensure they can continue to have power over those they deem 'the others'.

Rest in Peace and Power Justice Ginsburg. You were a giant.

She did her job, now fill her seat Mr. President, it's your job!!!

Now that the supreme court is nothing more than an unelected politically partisan law making body, it should probably be reformed. It is no longer for for purpose.

That man-child didn't get enough boos the other day. Vote him out and then lock him up. He knows that it will be prison time as soon as he leaves the White House. He'll try and cheat his way to another term, and then change the rules to get rid of the term limits and try to stay in the WH until death. That's the only way to avoid prison. He's capable of thinking anything.

A pioneer to the very end.

Wrong. Obama and his administration did everyone a solid by trying to nominate a moderate and centrist in Merrick Garland.

I understand, but the GOP had apprehensions about his record and they have the absolute right to not hold hearings or seat a Justice that they feel is wobbly when it comes to conservative issues or issues interpreted by the Constitution and again, if the roles were reversed, there’s no way the Dems in this climate with all the radical socialists would even hold a hearing on a Trump nominee, let alone a conservative one or even centrist one, wouldn’t happen.

Now, the GOP wants to hire as far right a judge as they can.

Yes, like Scalia a strict constitutionalist, their right. RBG had the chance to retire back in 2013, she didn’t p, if she would have, Obama could have filled her seat with another activist Justice, but that never happened.

Also, it's about time we used Lindsey Graham's words against him, since he said it himself that in an election year, the people need to decide on the next Justice.

Hypocrisy? Liberals can’t say anything about hypocrisy when it comes to the SC!

Joe Biden in 2016: "I would go forward with a confirmation process as chairman, even a few months before a presidential election, if the nominee were chosen with the advice, and not merely the consent, of the Senate, just as the Constitution requires. 'I would go forward with a confirmation process as chairman, even a few months before a presidential election, if the nominee were chosen with the advice, and not merely the consent, of the Senate, just as the Constitution requires,' he said.

'My consistent advice to president's of both parties, including this president [Obama] has been that we should engage fully in the constitutional process of advice and consent.

'And my consistent understanding of the constitution has been, the Senate must do so as well. Period. They have an obligation to do so.'

Don’t even go there with the hypocrisy card because we can do this all day when it comes to Dems and how they flipped and flopped when it comes to this process.

I'll commission a study immediately, Jimmy.

Good idea.

I was thinking about a conclusion as useless, baseless and partisan as yours. It was that the searches for “Ruth Bader Ginsberg” came from the trash right looking for something negative.

What do you think?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

It’s utter hypocrisy.

2 words Merrick Garland.

Thats how much effort it took to counter your hypocrisy. 2 words.

Then why do you use 20 words?

@Pukey2: Christ. Talk about lying. You anti-choice religious extremists are 'pro-life' until the baby pops out. Then you don't give a damn.

Why assume someone who doesn’t support the killing of viable human beings without so much as due process a religious extremist? I am not religious. I’m just not so lacking in humanity as to accept infanticide as normal.

I don't see people like you offering financial help to dirt-poor mothers

How do you know that? I am not religious but religious people are generally the most personally generous while Progressives sit back waiting for the rich to pay their fair share.

putting a stop to the death penalty, stopping the killing of black people minding their own business. Pro-life, my eye.

It is completely backward to support the death penalty for a viable baby while opposing it for a convicted killer. You could at least grant the child a fair trial. That’s probably too much from the ideologically blinded. None of the un-armed black people killed by police in recent years were minding their own business. Not George Floyd who was committing a crime by passing counterfeit money and resisting arrest. Breonna Taylor’s case was tragic but it wasn’t racially motivated and it was precipitated by her boyfriends actions. In fact, there is very little if any evidence that any have been racially motivated. In the meantime, twice as many whites have been killed although they are significantly less likely than black citizens to be involved in violent criminal activity. The facts are the facts. But again- facts mean little to the ideologically devout

Trump’s third justice, if confirmed, would be sure to move the court rightward on health care, abortion and other pivotal issues

Finally! Ginsburg did very good things but nothing can erase the stain of her support for essentially unregulated abortion up to the day of natural birth. She was also openly political in her opposition to Republican presidents- essentially giving away the game by her partisanship.

Amy Barrett will ensure that abortion is sent back to the states where these decisions should be made. Many states will turn back the clock on the barbarous practice of partial birth abortion. She will help end the systemic racism of affirmative action. And thankfully she will be there to stop all of the coming socialism from the arch Left Harris/Biden administration. First up for abolition is Obamacare’s forced mandates on private individuals and organizations.

We’re seeing republicans extreme lack of integrity with how they are trying to ram a SCOTUS nominee down the people’s throats

No, they're doing their Constitutional duty. Look it up.

instead of allowing the people to have their say via the election.

The people had their say. They elected Trump president and Republicans to the Senate.

For what?

How? will Trump cheat? Trump’s not trying to pack the courts, he’s not trying to abolish the filibuster and how will Dems propose to do that, they can’t and they know it. This confirmation is going to happen the liberals will just have to suck it up and man up about it.

27 years ago... wonderful memories, Biden said. what a political dinosaur. and you people wonder why Trump is going to win again...

We’re seeing republicans extreme lack of integrity with how they are trying to ram a SCOTUS nominee down the people’s throats instead of allowing the people to have their say via the election. This isn’t any kind of surprise to rational, decent adults.

That’s just a bunch of nonsense. If the Democrats were in power, Obama or Hillary and Schumer or Reid and the Dems controlled the Senate they would immediately fill the seat with a liberal, of course they would and they wouldn’t wait a second or even listen to ANY Republican dissent.
