Does it really matter what the origin of the information is, if it’s factual and can be proven without any reasonable doubt?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Trump has been waging a war against damaging facts by using outright lies, deception, and through effective branding.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Trump was never going to testify. If it wasn’t this reason, it would be another.

In a court of law, the origin of the facts does not matter.

In the court of public opinion or in political circles (impeachment), maybe it might matter.

So, Trump and team are not arguing to sway the law, they are arguing to sway opinion.

Rudy Giuliani admits 'Spygate' is Trump PR tactic against Robert Mueller

Someone should tell Trump that if televised, his interview will be the highest rated show ever. He'll do it in a heartbeat.

Oh, and offer him some royalties based on advertising revenue. He was always asking about getting a share of advertising money for debates.

I love how Giuliani admitted that the whole "SpyGate" thing is just a lie to undermine the investigation... before he realized he slipped and started using it again to undermine the investigation.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Remember, Giuliani is the guy who recently, when being interviewed, said "That's not fair! Why are you showing that!" when a segment from a video proving his hypocrisy was aired during his interview. He practically cried. He's only slightly less senile than Trump.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Giuliani is filling his role brilliantly. The media goes out of their way to try to prove him wrong and all it does it draw more attention to the spying that happened. Liberals look petty arguing that an informant isnt a spy, as regular people who are not hyper-partisan dont see any difference between the two. All they see is some guy hanging around low level campaign members trying to set them up and passing info to the FBI for political reasons. Non political people dont like that kind of stuff.

Liberals just keep screwing up trying to disprove things. Should really go back to just not talking about them at all. Like the immigrant kids in cages thing that you tried to blame on Trump, that Obama actually did cause it was pics from 2014? oops!

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Asked if Trump would dismiss anyone if the investigation kept going, Giuliani told "Fox News Sunday" that firings would play "into the hands of playing the victim, Watergate."

Cue firings aplenty.

Well, it doesn’t matter what he said, the good thing is, Trump has him on his team, couldn’t have a more formidable ally.

So having someone planted and informing on the Presidents activities is not a spy? That’s like a kid urinating behind a bush and people referring to it as NOT urination, but needing to relieve his bladder.

Liberals...just wow!

before he realized he slipped and started using it again to undermine the investigation.

The investigation is already tainted, Trump will be fine, the bigger question is,what will liberals do when this is over? Carry on with........living? Lol

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Well, it doesn’t matter what he said

Ladies and gentlemen; the Trump experience, in a nutshell. It truly doesn't matter what he or Giuliani says. But we knew this already.

First thing they will do is turn on Robert Mueller for not providing them the desired outcome no matter what.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

What is it, like 59% of the people who think there have been no crimes found by this investigation. Despite almost 2 years in total, spies in the middle of it and at least 7 Trump people being surveilled.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

bass4funk: "Well, it doesn’t matter what he said..."

Ah, the "it matters until it's the person I like saying it, then it doesn't if it incriminates him or another person I like".

It sure does, and that's why he was silenced for a week -- the guy you called a genius! haha. He has admitted Trump is a criminal, "funnelling" money through lawyers to pay off prostitutes, etc. He's admitted Trump knew about the payments, which got Trump in trouble, etc.

"Carry on with........living? Lol"

Ah, the scared "lol" coming out. I can't blame you... with how much you praised Giuliani and saying he would save Trump, and how badly he's actually digging the hole (and swamp) deeper, you kind of have to be nervous and scared and try to "Lol" your way through life. Soon you, like Giuliani, will be crying and saying "It's not fair!" when we yet again paste in posts that prove your 180s on issues, saying "It doesn't matter... but what the Dems do DOES!", etc. etc.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

When Rudy gets shown the door, you can guarantee the same folk who praise him will be only too glad to bury him (metaphorically speaking, natch). The man is a liability to Trump and there's only so much trolling the people can take, surely?

He'll be out by the end of Summer. Mark my words.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I agree, he wont even last that long. His purpose and specific mission is pretty much done by now.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

A lot of people are woefully misinformed. For instance, it's only been one year since the investigation started, Guiliani admitted the spy nonsense was a PR tactic, and it was Russia that was being surveilled (they just happened to be meeting with Trump people).

couldn’t have a more formidable ally.

As a carnival barker #2 behind carnival barker #1 (Trump).

Facts and law are not required.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Looks like Trump fans are trying to make Trump’s paranoid, unsubstiantiated accusation a reality through sheer will power.

Which is fine. Obama planted a spy to complete a mission against Trump for political purposes. Wuddaya gunna do about it? Muhahahahahah.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Ladies and gentlemen; the Trump experience, in a nutshell. It truly doesn't matter what he or Giuliani says. But we knew this already.

Thank God for him. Go get ‘em, Rudy!

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Ah, the "it matters until it's the person I like saying it, then it doesn't if it incriminates him or another person I like".

Yes, the left should know about that.

It sure does, and that's why he was silenced for a week

He was silenced? How do you know? Who told you?

-- the guy you called a genius! haha. He has admitted Trump is a criminal, "funnelling" money through lawyers to pay off prostitutes, etc. He's admitted Trump knew about the payments, which got Trump in trouble, etc.

I really worry about liberals, they say stuff, just to say it. By the way, whether he knew about the payments or not doesn’t necessarily constitute as a crime. A year and still nothing.....oh, because there is nothing, a team full of witch hunting lawyers and still nothing. A pity. Liberals, hold on to your Kleenex.

Ah, the scared "lol" coming out. I can't blame you... with how much you praised Giuliani and saying he would save Trump, and how badly he's actually digging the hole (and swamp) deeper, you kind of have to be nervous and scared and try to "Lol" your way through life.

No, not at all nervous, no reason to be, I just let the Democrats keep digging holes for themselves, Trump’s numbers not falling, slowly climbing, Democrats and midterms gaps are closing, not a good sign for a so called “blue wave” Earlier this year a 17 point lead, now within a margin of error, not good and especially the Senate looks worse, so that means, Trump will leave in about 7 years, so buckle up.

Soon you, like Giuliani, will be crying and saying "It's not fair!" when we yet again paste in posts that prove your 180s on issues, saying "It doesn't matter... but what the Dems do DOES!", etc. etc.

What?

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

A year and still nothing.....oh, because there is nothing, a team full of witch hunting lawyers and still nothing

It’s not over yet. You posted that Trump could get done for obstruction of justice which is an extremely serious offence.

Has anything happened in the interim which made you do yet another 180?

It must be exhausting keeping up with the contradictory nonsense flying out of Trump’s Twitter circus.

Trump’s base likes him. He can’t be corrupt. And if he is, good on him. Liberal heads explode. Fun times and Cheerios. Rofl. Go get ‘em Rudy and Devin! My team wins!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

What? I don’t know if that was an attempt at some misguided liberal humor, but whatever. Anyway, once this all blows over what are the Democrats going to do? Sulk for the next 7 years or so?

https://nypost.com/2018/05/27/obamas-spying-scandal-is-starting-to-look-a-lot-like-watergate/

Looks like Trump was right, guess Giuliani was more than right. Well, time to wind down. Mueller, time to pack it up, wrap it up.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

You heard it here first, folks: bass4funk thinks Giuliani is a liberal

Not at all. Giuliani is as much of a liberal as Hillary is a raving far-right neoconservative. Lol

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Still no actual evidence from Trump or his favorite newspaper, though.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

and it’s looking more and more justifiable for him to do so

Well we are all waiting for the reason why Trump won't answer questions, and it's surprising that it's this story since Trump and Rudy have both side they have no evidence to support their claims. It got reviewed by Republicans and suddenly the story went from "bigger than Watergate" to off of the front page of Fox entirely.

If this ends up being the reason they use for not talking, it's an odd choice. Maybe they want to try to revive it in the headlines again? Or maybe Trump is just too paranoid to drop it since it involves Obama? I'm not 100% sure.

But in order to keep the story alive they will have to invent ways to keep it going without having to actually give any evidence. Maybe some text messages saying someone doesn't like Trump, or someone who once met Hillary knowing someone, or maybe the informant has a distant American relative who voted Democrat once 30 years ago making his bias equivalent to a smoking gun of direct evidence.

We will just have to wait and see.

Giuliani has more than demonstrated how completely ridiculous he is. Laughable.

Quite the contrary, makes perfect sense to people with an open mind.

The REAL laughable thing is, NYC would be another murdering, violent drug infested cesspool like Chicago or Baltimore if Giuliani hadn’t been mayor of NYC.

Well we are all waiting for the reason why Trump won't answer questions, and it's surprising that it's this story since Trump and Rudy have both side they have no evidence to support their claims.

Ok, so they like Mueller don’t have a shred of evidence, gotcha! This is very interesting.

It got reviewed by Republicans and suddenly the story went from "bigger than Watergate" to off of the front page of Fox entirely.

I believe it 110% that’s why Clapper is contradicting himself....a lot recently, even Meghan McCain called him on it, the stuttering old fool and Brennan “the Communist” thinks he can threaten the entire GOP??? The guy is insane, why would anyone do such a thing? Uhhh- ooohhh....

 I'm not 100% sure.

I am totally in agreement with you on that.

But in order to keep the story alive they will have to invent ways to keep it going without having to actually give any evidence.

Ahhh, again like the Mueller investigation?

Sounds more like you’re describing Adam Spliff and his loving devotion to corrupt cops.

The Mueller is going about this investigation, he’s bringing himself and it down.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Ok, so they like Mueller don’t have a shred of evidence, gotcha! This is very interesting.

Oh, I don’t know what Mueller has since I’m not privy to the investigation. I’m waiting for the results to be released. From the beginning I’ve said the investigation is credible and I think Trump will ultimately walk.

I believe your story is that a group of corrupt Democrats and Republicans are putting together a hit job on Trump, the victim, all being run by Rosenstein, who you don’t think should be fired despite running the illegal investigation because there is no need to fire him, and they have nothing because nothing has been leaked.

Part of that scam story will have to include Trump not talking to Mueller. Maybe you want to believe Trump will talk, but at some point you will be leading the charge here on JT against Trump talking. You’re just not there yet.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

When people regurgitate the 'spygate' bilge they have been IV dripped while they were asleep, is it because they truly lack the intellect to see it for what it is, i.e. baseless nonsense, or is it because they are simply liars who enjoy spreading others' lies for the heck of it? Those are the only two possibilities. Perhaps certain posters could help us out by identifying themselves as 'I' or 'L' respectively to save us all a bit of time.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Mueller isn't the one who started the investigation he's just the head of it but conservatives had dismissed him since the get go and have concluded what the investigation will reveal even though not finished or published.

Oh, this is exactly like 1998 all over again.

I believe your story is that a group of corrupt Democrats and Republicans are putting together a hit job on Trump, the victim, all being run by Rosenstein, who you don’t think should be fired despite running the illegal investigation because there is no need to fire him, and they have nothing because nothing has been leaked.

Bingo.

Part of that scam story will have to include Trump not talking to Mueller. Maybe you want to believe Trump will talk, but at some point you will be leading the charge here on JT against Trump talking. You’re just not there yet.

I don’t know, it’s just all so boring at this point, once this facade witch hunt ends, we can all go on with our lives and worry about more important and serious things, like.....oh, North Korea or Iran for example.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

I probably couldn't find much common ground with him, but it amazes me how many conservatives and republicans want to destroy him and his character.

He’s already done that by himself, no need for help there.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

I wouldn't bet on ever seeing that report, especially if it falls short, as it is likely to do, of complete exoneration for Donald Trump.

Nope, can’t have that.

Mueller is required to produce a confidential report for the (in this case, deputy) attorney general; this is in line with the General Powers of Special Counsel (note section c in the link below)

So in other words, he needs to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING to make it stick to Trump and to validate this so called investigation.

It is entirely up to the (deputy) attorney general whether the report remains confidential, but he may decide, subject to applicable restrictions, and there are quite a few of those, to share it with Congress or to publicly release it (or parts of it).

Yeah, the slow drip isn’t the least bit concerning at all for a bunch of cops that have a so called sound and credible investigation or evidence, whatever it might be, if at all.

So people need to understand that first there has to be the will on the part of the (deputy) attorney general to pass along the contents to others at all, and then that those others might not be the public, or even Congress, and then that, in addition, severe restrictions apply.

Single Greatest Witch Hunt in American History - not.

That is very debatable.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump has made unproven claims of FBI misconduct and political bias and has denounced the informant, without evidence, as "a spy."

His constant paranoid obsession has only amplified his GUILT. And he is guilty of usury, treason, collaboration, stealing, murder, rape, incest, and lately genocide - against Hispanics. He's separating children from their families - 1400+ are 'unaccounted for' as of last year. Fascist regimes in Argentina, Spain, Germany committed his horrid practice. He's always acting like an ape, never calm because he is GUILTY. I also witnessed the cyberhacking on America's internet on election night 2016.
