Gee, I wonder if Trump really wants to go ahead with this half-baked meeting of his or not....

13 ( +15 / -2 )

yeah like we should believe Giuliani!

19 ( +20 / -1 )

Guiliani is not helping at all. Better he keeps very quiet and goes back to a New York coffee shop.

19 ( +20 / -1 )

This is a circus. Giuiliani makes this asinine statement, Dennis Rodman attending the summit, talk of Trump pardoning himself, meeting with Kardashian in the White House.

If I was unconscious, woke up, and someone told me all if this was going on I would think they are talking about a bad book or an awful movie. Not reality.

I would have to say if they can get a formal declaration ending the Korean War that would be an accomplishment. Still...this is all really strange stuff.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

sigh

Please, Rudy, please just shut up.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Keep the unhelpful comments coming Rudy!

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Almost starting to feel sorry for Kim having to deal with idiots like Trump and having to put up with Giuliani's stupid comments that emerge almost daily.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

At this point Dennis Rodman has more credibility in his pinkie than Giuliani and Trump combined.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Well, this is beyond stupid.

As I've said before, Giuliani is a liability and this latest clanger could see the talks in jeopardy. Unless it's deliberate sabotage.

Hard to know just what's going on with 5 days to go.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

"Kim Jong Un got back on his hands and knees and begged for it, which is exactly the position you want to put him in"

And he begged so damn hard, that it changed from a "denuclearize now !" to a "getting to know each other" meeting.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is master negotiation !

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I think it's pretty unanimous, Giuliani really needs to be retired...

11 ( +11 / -0 )

What a dumb unneeded thing to say at this point in time. But really, nothing surprises me anymore.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Giuliani needs to be relevant, so he is saying crazy stuff to possibly run for office again or to get back on the speaking circuit for conservatives.

The chicken Hawks in Ttump's party like his own advisor doesn't want the meeting to happen. Trump will learn to stop appointing people that he saw on Fox News. That is where many of his picks come from.

Trump also like to self sabotage through his proxies. He daily routine has been verified, so people recognize that Trump is lazy. Trump wants the meeting to be cancelled, so he can talk about what he would have done. It is easier to lie about that to his base. If they actually have the meeting and nothing happens which is more than likely then he will have to explain his failure. Unless he can really get something out of it. Trump is more likely to get a side deal out of this meeting than anything for the US.

The Japanese don't want the meeting to happen because the Japanese people are going to ask why haven't you returned our kidnapped family members. Why didn't you have a serious meeting with NK too?

Honestly, Kim just wants a personal vacation. That is the reason for demanding such a expensive hotel. He is always trapped in his own country. He hasn't been abroad since he was a student. It is another reason that he hated his brother so much.

Chinese and Trump just want to meet to workout their own side deals. Trump wants to help his family business and China wants to continue to take advantage of the US. Trump can't do a lot of business in Europe because he has bad credit and a bad reputation. He continue to do business with shady countries like Russia, China and possibly with North Korea if he can. Guess which country will be sending workers to Trump's factories and hotels to send money home to the hermit kingdom in third world countrie? Guess which hotel owner will be able to sell weapons to third parties?

Most parties involved have no interest in this meeting except for their own personal financial gain.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"After the cancellation, "Kim Jong Un got back on his hands and knees and begged for it, which is exactly the position you want to put him in."

"It is pointing out that the president is the stronger figure," Giuliani told the AP.

Diplomacy much?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The weird thing is that trumpettes will actually believe this absurd story.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I’m just waiting for a comment from a Trump supporter beginning with “Well at least” followed by something about weakness in the past.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Giuliani is in the Bolton camp where they do not want the summit to go ahead. Hence the ridiculous fake news/statement from the mouth of Giuliani at a time where it could still disrupt the scheduled meeting.

Kim knows he didn't beg. Trump knows he didn't beg. Nobody thinks the US is going in to this meeting as a powerful negotiator. If both sides don't get basically what they want from this then its just a friendly meet and greet for the leaders and a chance for Kim to do some duty free shopping while in Singapore.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Giuliani - the gift that keeps giving. And Trump - pure genius!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I just don’t get it. He’s either intionally trying to sabotage the talks, or he’s so out of touch he has no idea what his words can do in this situation.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Another attempt to rule the news cycle while also idiotically undermining a meeting that is yet to happen.

Plus, the language used "on his hands and knees and begged for it" is off, even considering the sexist nature of these old men. Obviously meant to be suggestive to draw attention from the news.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I sometimes wonder if Trump and his acolytes really want this summit to happen, seriously. Odds of the meeting actually taking place down to 50/50. Awaiting Kim's reply.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Well, Rudy was pretty much spot on, they really don’t have a choice, either that or more sanctions down the road, but as a typical New Yorker, he’s more direct.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

Another attempt to rule the news cycle while also idiotically undermining a meeting that is yet to happen.

What? The news cycle WANTS to focus on Trump, it’s not his choice...you guys....lol.

Plus, the language used "on his hands and knees and begged for it" is off, even considering the sexist nature of these old men.

What?

Obviously meant to be suggestive to draw attention from the news.

Here we go again, delusion and conspiratorial theories strikes the left once again.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

I just don’t get it. He’s either intionally trying to sabotage the talks, or he’s so out of touch he has no idea what his words can do in this situation.

With other leaders, I'd be fairly sure that I knew which of those options it was, but in this case, I have no clue. Is he intentionally tanking it, or just a moron? Or a touch of both?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

it’s not his choice...you guys....lol.

Trump is the producer in chief. He makes absurd statements and outright lies just because Fox and his followers will believe him, which causes other news organizations to focus and give time to rebut the lies.

Trump's latest discovered presidential power useful to attract the media's attention, pardons. He's learning quick how to keep the public's attention away from policies. So, expect a slew of controversial pardon announcements when he needs a free distraction. Don't pay attention at Ryan announcing that the FBI acted correctly in investigating Trump. No focus on the salacious attention seeking comments from Giuliani. The Eagles story has faded and Trump needs a new distraction.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The despot’s object is to throw things into confusion that he may ride the storm and direct the whirlwind.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I have been trying to figure out why the hell rudy was hired by trump...…..???

The only thing I can come up with was to MUDDY ANYTHING & EVERYTHING so no one knows what on earth is what, causing total confusion....

Perhaps that is why the swamp seems utter opaque these days!!!

What next rudy baby what next!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Huh? Wut? What kind of a nitwit lawyer makes things worse everyday?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Summit is happening, nothing else matters.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Summit is happening

Wow, you've got the ability to see the future. Nice skill bro.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Giuliani is clearly senile. He used to be a smart guy.
2 ( +3 / -1 )

its obvious the summit is happening. Liberal media has been distracted long enough with the NFL and pardons and Guiliani and Melania where they couldn’t mess it up again.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

its obvious the summit is happening.

No it's not. Trump has already flip-flopped on it once, and that's just him - who knows what Kim will do.

You may be correct that it will happen, but your current confidence isn't supported by the reality of what's actually happened.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Viking68: Don't pay attention at Ryan announcing that the FBI acted correctly in investigating Trump.

That story isn’t on FoxNews.com, but the bogus claim was headline news. Now imagine if you you got the vast majority of your news from Fox.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Well, Rudy was pretty much spot on, they really don’t have a choice, either that or more sanctions down the road, but as a typical New Yorker, he’s more direct.

Oh, he’s a New Yorker. That makes it okay then. Perhaps he should comment on Kim’s height or weight while he’s at it and explain that is just what New Yorkers are like.

It should clear up any misunderstanding and make it clear to North Korea that it’s a cultural thing.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

This was the kind of comment we expected from the loony right.

If the right are loony in their observation of the insanity of the lefts inability to acknowledge facts and devoid of any rationality whatsoever, it wouldn’t be the first nor the last, then calling the right looney would be a badge of honor.

Trying to justify and unjustifiable statement and one which could sabotage the meeting or maybe that what Giuliani and Bolton wants.

How so?

The right wing without a brain are dangerous.

But with all the brains they do have as of now, deadly dangerous.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Oh, he’s a New Yorker. That makes it okay then.

Never said it did.

Perhaps he should comment on Kim’s height or weight while he’s at it and explain that is just what New Yorkers are like.

Why not? Liberals comment of every single thing they THINK they know about whatever it is.

It should clear up any misunderstanding and make it clear to North Korea that it’s a cultural thing

Ahhhh....

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Perhaps he should comment on Kim’s height or weight while he’s at it and explain that is just what New Yorkers are like.

Why not? Liberals comment of every single thing they THINK they know about whatever it is.

We are talking about a summit with North Korea here. It’s got nothing to do with left or right.

It was an ill-advised thing to say. It was a stupid thing to say.

Just have the honesty to call out idiotic incontinence of the mouth when you see it and stop playing the us v them childish nonsense.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It’s true but you want to make such comments only off the record.

The crazy North Koreans have some pride you know.

'Highly partisan' Mueller team is trying hard to 'frame' Trump, Giuliani says from Israel

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/06/06/highly-partisan-mueller-team-is-trying-hard-to-frame-trump-giuliani-says-in-israel.html

So they're pretty much going all in at this point. They are going to test the limits of the conservative bubble and they are betting they will keep most of their base. It's a cooperative effort by the White House, most Congressional Republicans, and the concentrated conservative media.

They can control the message and create whatever reality they want. When you see a Congressional Republican struggle to speak out against Trump it's because he's going up against them if he does, and they can craft whatever message they want. Plus, they can just ignore anything that doesn't fit their narrative. They key is that their media has such a deep reach and it's from just a handful of sources.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Giuliani has no business making dangerous comments on matters of national security he's overstepping his role as a lawyer.

Funny, I thought you guys believed in the first amendment? What happened? Got cold feet all of a sudden? Not surprised, nope.

We are talking about a summit with North Korea here. It’s got nothing to do with left or right.

Then you Europeans don’t need to worry, the Americans got this.

It was an ill-advised thing to say. It was a stupid thing to say.

But a true thing to say and Kim knows it, now if he wants to grandstand for show, he could do that and then once his anger is over, he’ll go right back to the negotiations.

They are hurting, they don’t have the money anymore, Trump is squeezing them dry, in fact, I don’t think Giuliani’s comments don’t go far enough.

Just have the honesty to call out idiotic incontinence of the mouth when you see it and stop playing the us v them childish nonsense.

I’m always honest, but that’s how YOU see it, I don’t see it like that. I’m for twisting the knife.

And when asked where he got this information, Giuliani opened his eyes like a Pekinese dog before they were sucked back into their orbs and said,

Giuliani: I don't know that? Who knows? I never said that.

News: You did, sir. Here's the quotation.

Giuliani: You can't say that! That's unfair! It's irrelevant. What does that have to do with saying Kim begged for it on his hands and knees? That's not fair!

News: You just said it again.

Giuliani: (deer in headlights, eyes shoot out, then in again, hands thrown up) Who knows? Maybe I did. I don't know. I've made some mistakes. I'm still new at this. Thousands of documents. Look, these aren't my guys! It's just law school 101. Are they lawyers? Look... what I meant by "begging" is that the talks are back on. Who really cares how? Maybe someone begged. We don't know. Who knows these things?

News: You just said he begged, that's the whole point. I'm asking how you know.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

So Bone Spurs' legal master wishes to blow up the N. Korea summit before it even gets off the ground.

With Bolton and Rudy, what is this--the Golden Boys?

Only the "best"? Define "best".

2 ( +2 / -0 )

And when asked where he got this information, Giuliani opened his eyes like a Pekinese dog before they were sucked back into their orbs and said,

They are cute dogs though.

News: You just said he begged, that's the whole point. I'm asking how you know.

So what’s the problem?

So Bone Spurs' legal master wishes to blow up the N. Korea summit before it even gets off the ground.

No, just calling it like it is.

With Bolton and Rudy, what is this--the Golden Boys?

Kinda like the Wonder twins.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Giuliani has no business making dangerous comments on matters of national security he's overstepping his role as a lawyer.

He's acting just like Cohen, a fixer and not an attorney. I'd be surprised if there was any legal services being rendered so no AC privilege. Maybe the FBI will raid Giuliani too. That would be large.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Put your hand up if you DON’T think this is Trump speaking out of Giuliani’s mouth.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I'd be surprised if there was any legal services being rendered so no AC privilege.

If Trump is hiring him as a lawyer, AC privilege exists. And there is no reason to think Trump isn't hiring him as a lawyer.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Giuliani is trying to undermine the talks so as to make Trump look better when Trump calls them off out of cowardice. If Giuliani endangers the lives of Americans with his lies and the summit gets called off by a justifiably upset Kim, who is far more mature than Trump at this point, then Giuliani can say it was not his client who called the meeting off (even though it's what he wanted).

Same as Trump didn't want to only have two or three of the Eagles coming to the White House to meet him with the rest rejecting the invitation, so he made like a crappy employee or bitter dumpee and said, "You didn't fire me, I quit!" and terminated the event.

bass4funk: "So what’s the problem?"

For a guy who is so obsessed with when a Dem lies (especially when it's an alternative fact), you sure do like to shrug and say "Who cares" when it's your heroes.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"Gee, I wonder if Trump really wants to go ahead with this half-baked meeting of his or not...."

I'm sure Kim wants to go ahead with it, being as how he begged for it.

"yeah like we should believe Giuliani!"

You don't believe KIm begged for this meeting? It's pretty obvious he did.

"Guiliani is not helping at all."

Have to agree with that one. Gawd, I wish he would not have said that, but it's not going to cause the N.Koreans to cancel the meeting.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Looks like Trump found his own Joe “foot-always-in-his-mouth” Biden. Obama spent a fair amount of time putting out the little political fires caused by Biden’s ill-considered words. Trump has enough work to do putting out his own political fires.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He's acting just like Cohen, a fixer and not an attorney.

Do liberals even know what a fixer is?

I'd be surprised if there was any legal services being rendered so no AC privilege. Maybe the FBI will raid Giuliani too.

That would be large.

And find what? Corrupted cop files that Giuliani had to let go half of NYC finest while he was mayor? It would be like finding something in Al Capone’s vault.

Giuliani starting to sound more like Alex Jonesy

Rudy is a conservative.

Justifiably? Kim doesn’t have the right to be justified about anything. He’s lucky that he doesn’t get a Tomahawk missile in his mailbox.

Same as Trump didn't want to only have two or three of the Eagles coming to the White House to meet him with the rest rejecting the invitation, so he made like a crappy employee or bitter dumpee and said, "You didn't fire me, I quit!" and terminated the event.

I loved it, they tried to give Trump the middle finger and before they could pull it off, he cancels! Daaaang! Checkmate!

For a guy who is so obsessed with when a Dem lies (especially when it's an alternative fact), you sure do like to shrug and say "Who cares" when it's your heroes.

No, it has nothing to do with heroes, it has everything to seriously do with the issues themselves.

Hmm...ROFL

No, it has nothing to do with heroes, it has everything to seriously do with the issues themselves.

Yeah, right.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Yeah, right.

Oh, it doesn’t have the typical liberal cynicism to meet their conspiratorial allegations? I see. Lol

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

We all loved it. It's what is known as "making a virtue of necessity".

Uh-huh and the ploy didn’t work out so well, now the owner got caught in his own misguided trappings and Trump moved on while the left are still gasping. Grow a pair!

Lol.

zichi: "The loony right, yesterday rejected the first amendment rights of the NFL players"

The NFL players can say whatever they want, they just won't get invited to the White House if they act like jerks unless a Democrat is elected again.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

They act like jerks at the White House? Is that your assumption because they are black?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The NFL players can say whatever they want, they just won't get invited to the White House if they act like jerks unless a Democrat is elected again.

None of them expressed an intention to act like jerks - rather they just said they weren't going to go, avoiding the need to look like jerks.

And remember, this all started because Trump freaked out when he realized how few of them were interested in going to the white house. This wasn't them being jerks to him, this was him freaking out because of a perceived slight, and therefore becoming the jerk himself, by canceling the invite. Kind of like a petty five year old. (And on a related track, entirely inline with Comey's comments that Trump "has a craving for affirmation that I’ve never seen in an adult before").

When Trump felt he wasn't getting the affirmation he deserved, he freaked out and canceled the meeting, like a five year old bully pissed off because none of the other kids want to go to his party.

The team has been handling the entire incident with class. They didn't ask for a fight. They specifically tried to stay away from one. Trump is the one who decided something need to be fought. And he's looking petty for it.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Head of Propaganda for the Third Reich was Joseph Goebbels, Head of Propaganda for the Trump Reich is Rudy Giuliani. Every word he utters is pure P R O P A G A N D A.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The NFL players can say whatever they want, they just won't get invited to the White House

You write that as if it's something they wanted. The whole reason this fiasco happened was because Trump freaked out that so few members of the team were interested in going to the White House.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Rudy Giuliani has loose tongue. Perhaps, some of his brain cells must be damaged in some way, but not Alzheimer disease as late former President Reagan suffered. Some peoples lost their brain cell faster than another group of peoples when they are getting old. Rudy Giuliani was one of them.

Someone must stop this old loose cannon ball from further damage to the US and N. Korea summit.

Giuliani is 74 years old, highly educated person and also former politician as well.

He should know how sensitive peoples were when you look down and trash talk about the leader of N. Korean and the opponent of the US president in this rare two leaders meeting and opportunity for to denuclearize the Korean peninsula and peace for the world.

The President Trump must advice Giuliani to quit from his legal team. Giuliani is not helping to the President Trump and he is doing damage to the President and the Government. The President should ask him to quit from his legal team and retire from politics and public life altogether.

This Rudy Giuliani was not the same Giuliani as he used to be. The American peoples are very lucky indeed because the President Trump didn’t choose him as the Secretary of the United State of America.

If Rudy Giuliani was chosen as the Secretary of the United State of America over Mike Pompeo and then he will upside down the President Trump Government.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Rudy is a conservative. oh hes a bit more than that

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXQuto1fMp4&t=112s

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The only person on his hands and knees begging for it is the fake Don Juan himself. Just ask Melania!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Is it time to go to the polls yet? I am Republican but I am nauseated every time I look in on today's politics.

What happened to Rudy? He used to be even keeled. Now he is bat dung crazy.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

i don't know about "forced" but, having had a bad crop harvest last year and a huge army to feed, its possible that fat boy did the diplomatic equivalent of begging.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Rudy is a conservative.

Idiot is now a synonym for conservative. What comes out of the mouth of this 'conservative' makes me want to puke.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm no fan of North Korea, but the US sure have seemingly made every public excuse they could to derail this meeting from happening.
