It's hard to know which is the biggest laughing stock lately for shooting itself in the foot out of the Republican party, the USA or the UK. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

Well Donald, it has been a blast - never seen so much entertainment and stupidity. Thanks for coming to the party, the laughs and dont let the door hit you on your way out. Sayonara! (ps republicans , check out the NBC poll... )

16 ( +17 / -1 )

But he still endorses him. Haven't seen contortions like this since the Olympics.

21 ( +22 / -1 )

The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

No. The lunatics have taken over the Republican party.

We Dems are just fine. We are win and win big and do great things to make our country and our planet better.

In the conference call with Ryan, California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher called GOP leaders cowards,”

Schrodinger's quotation mark notwithstanding, Rohrabacher is right but for the wrong reason. They aren't cowards for not sticking with Trump. They're cowards for sticking with Trump while knowing what he was like all along and then only dumping him after it was too late to get him off the ballot. They took the path of least accountability and in doing so wasted the time and money of the American people on a useless candidate. And in November, I look forward to them hurting for it.

He did energize his core supporters by hurling insults at Clinton — he called her the “devil” and promised to put her in jail if he’s president — but he appeared to do little to win over new voters. He insisted his aggressively vulgar remarks on the videotape were mere “locker room” talk and tried to turn the attention to Bill Clinton’s extramarital affairs.

Classic Trump. He's never spared even one moment to thinking about what appeals to the people he hasn't swayed yet, he just keeps doing the personal attacks he's enjoyed doing the whole campaign. It's weird though that he thinks declaring his intent to jail his political opponent is a thing worth bragging about though as is his complete detachment from modern notions of sexual consent. But the weirdest thing is that we have a serial adulterer on his 3rd marriage trying to bash a guy who's not even running for cheating on his wife, when the guy he's bashing and her wife have managed to stick together and move on from their infidelity issues. Isn't it rather a sign of a fairly strong marriage if a case of having an affair doesn't lead to a divorce?

Hey ! Don the Con, I think I hear the fat lady humming !

8 ( +10 / -2 )

This is a very smart decision, and a clear vision for the GOP. It's time to acknowledge that Trump's nomination is an unavoidable mistake, as well as .an urgent call for radical change. Like it or not, Trump is substantially finished. Ryan and the GOP leaders should unite to consolidate their own base. The GOP future will not be tied to any individual, especially an individual with his self-confessed criminal hands and chauvinist emotions.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Keep believing, Black Sabbath. But a party and candidate and country in hock to big banks and big business probably ain't gonna do any of those things though. And Trump is a symptom of the slide, not an aberration.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Is David Duke still on board?

8 ( +10 / -2 )

"Indeed, Ryan said he would devote his energy to ensuring Clinton doesn’t get a “blank check” as president with a Democratic-controlled Congress,"

Ryan, you idiot, even without your help, Trump is going going to win in a landslide.

-26 ( +2 / -28 )

The toothpaste's out of the tube for the Don, his trumpettes and the Republican party. Who will fill the cavities they've left behind?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Serrano Its a good thing in this World that dreams are free...

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Sounds like his 'locker-room talk' excuse has completely snuffed out his chances and rightly so. Though it has come all too late for the GOP, most of the smarter members are doing what they have to do and leaving Trump. It's at the point now that even if he somehow did become POTUS, he'd never get anything done because his support in both houses would be minuscule. These senior GOP politicians like Ryan realize that, so now it's more about trying to limit the damage to the party. The fact of the matter is Hillary will make a far better President than Trump. Also, having seen the effect Bernie Sanders had on people, she will have learned from that and could actually get a lot of good things done for the US. Farewell Donald, it has been .......eye-opening!

7 ( +8 / -1 )

I almost feel like Trump is trying to see how much he can say and do...and still have his supporters blindly follow him. It's almost comical, and yet not funny at all. I'm really starting to believe that when he said "I could shoot someone and my supporters would still support me" that he was telling the truth.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Pro-Trump members rebelled in anger, accusing Ryan of conceding the election to Hillary Clinton.

Well, if the Republican Party wants to salvage any semblance of respectability in all of this, this is clearly the action they have to take. They HAVE to withdraw support for him, because it's just too damaging to keep their wagon hitched to the wrecking ball that is DT.

It's not going to get better, it's going to get worse. That's the only foreseeable conclusion you can draw, and why would you risk him winning office????

In my opinion they should withdraw support, and hopefully incur his vengeful tongue, which will then allow the party to distance themselves from him fully.

Not that I care for the Republican party, mind.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Oh Serrano, it doesn't work like that. If Trump only has a tiny bit of support from his own party, he can't win. In a way, it's a lucky thing as it does protect us all from having a lunatic as POTUS!.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I am amazed that there are so many dumb people in the US.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Good move by the GOP. Keep him in the race, but hobble him.

The democratic election victory is due to the Republican Party stupidly allowing this walking freakshow to become their Presidential candidate. Obama has been a crappy President (just ask Russia and China) and Hillary is still the lying lawyer she's always been. The Democrats simply lucked out because Trump is worse than Clinton.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

This whole scenario seems to be staged. It was planned from the beginning. Trump is a pushover. Plenty of dirt in his past and he only has to open his mouth and he loses all but the redneck vote.

The easiest guy in the world to beat. And the Clint ends up being pres with a humungous democratic majority.

I wonder if Elon Musk wants any volunteers to colonise Mars . . .

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

The GOP will now make sure that he doesn't win. No individual can be bigger than the party. He's now about 6 points behind Hillary which is a pretty large gap in US elections and it ain't going to get any closer now. I still say he'll go down by 8 points but it may well turn into a double-digit thumping. Can you imagine Trump's concession speech after the numbers on Nov 8? No one will be spared from his fury! Or maybe he'll just sue the whole universe!

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Is it just me, or should Roger Stone and Trump not be paying thousands of dollars to those poor elderly Bill Clinton accusers they trotted out the other day? If only to avoid any hint of biased impropriety. OK, time for a belly laugh.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"Recent revelations of Trump’s predatory sexual comments about women deepened the worries among GOP officials who fear he’ll drag down their own electoral prospects in November.

But others look at Trump’s loyal bands of supporters and see no way for Republicans in other races to win without their support."

Reap what you have sown, you bunch of myopic, sad sack dimwits. You were warned from the get-go, not only by the Clinton campaign and the Sanders campaign, but also by Independents and members within your own party. Everyone said virtually the same thing: Getting into bed with Teump is like grabbing the tiger by the tail.

And sure enough, after a hell of a ride, you're all on the verge of getting your damned fool heads bit off.

It was apparent as early as late May that there was no chance that Trump could be redeemed, reigned in, or muzzled. But it was apparent as early as July of 2015 that Trump appealed to the absolute worst human qualities in order to bolster his campaign. Racism, misogyny, anti-intelectualism, bigotry, a fundamental at-the-core meanness unparalleled since Nixon. He saw all of these loathsome qualities in his supporters and he then deliberately and purposefully fanned the flames, using naked, shameless populism to pummel fair-minded Republican candidates like John Kasich into submission.

Back in mid-June, Republicans who didn't drink the Kool-Aid warned GOP leadership that it was probably time to leave Trump to his own devices and work on protecting downstream candidates and midterm prospects.

Well, it looks like that ship has now sailed too. You pissed away the White House, and now it looks like you're on the precipice of pissing away the Senate and House.

Well done, GOP. Well done. Here's a well-deserved round of applause for your historic incompetence, fueled almost entirely by short term greed and a long term pathological hatred of Clinton. Bravo.

Clap... Clap... Clap.

America Is clearly bored and disgusted with Clinton's arrogance, sneering condescension and her memorized, Empty, tired, non-answers on important issues. Trump defeated not only Clinton but an evil and corrupt mass media as well. Massive change in America has begun. Starting wit the Republican party. Ryan and Hillary belong together.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

Do people even care what Paul Ryan thinks?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

No. The lunatics have taken over the Republican party.

Actually, the Republican Party was taken over by lunatics a very long time ago. What's with Democratic Party, seems they've been taken over by the mafia.

We Dems are just fine.

Half of the country doesn't think so.

We are win and win big and do great things to make our country and our planet better.

Tell the poor people, the middle class, the impoverished Blacks that live in high crime areas, people that live in border states, small business owners, the 46 million on food stamps, the veterans, the soldiers that are fighting the Jihadists, ask them and 65 million what they think about your interpretation of a so called better planet.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

Actually, the Republican Party was taken over by lunatics a very long time ago.

I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure I remember reading your posts when Trump first entered the race and you were very much against him. You seemed to think he was a lunatic and that his followers were as well. I understand people change their minds, especially when a nominee emerges. However, why is it that you cannot understand the feelings of those who are against Trump? You were once one of them.

Do people even care what Paul Ryan thinks?

Yes, I think many do. I also think it is just one more nail, in an evergrowing collections of nails that seem to be sealing the fate of Trump's campaign.

Trump defeated not only Clinton but an evil and corrupt mass media as well.

You are free to dislike Clinton, but that does not change the fact that Trump did anything but defeat her in the last two debates.

Trump is going going to win in a landslide.

Based on what I have been seeing and hearing, Trump is going to get buried in a landslide of votes for Clinton.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Ryan, you idiot, even without your help, Trump is going going to win in a landslide. oh dear serrano I think youve got a very bad case of denial, I personally cant wait to election day, your salty comments are ging to be biblical. LOL

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Do people even care what Paul Ryan thinks?

Ironically enough, people do. Given the rapidly increasing velocity with which the GOP is disintegrating, Ryan remains by default the leader of the party. He was faced with a Hobson's choice: To alienate the furious Trump supporters, or to anger the furious Trump supporters. By disassociating himself from Trump without rescinding his endorsement, he's managed to do both - but he really had no choice.

A gain of four Senate and 30 House seats will give all of Congress to the Dems. The former is looking likely; the latter is still a longshot, but there are still four weeks remaining for Trump to unleash his insanity on the nation. All bets are off.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

SerranoOCT. 11, 2016 - 08:05AM JST

Ryan, you idiot, even without your help, Trump is going going to win in a landslide.

Even if that were to happen, how well do you suppose he'd get on with a GOP controlled Congress? Trump boasted of his ability to unify the Republican Party once he secured the nomination, he's failed abysmally to do so, his debate "win," if you want to call it that, clearly hasn't got the troops in line and there's every indication things are going to get worse between now and the election. So how would he manage to get anything at all done once he'd won? Or perhaps you think he can throw Paul Ryan and his other Republican critics in prison just like he threatened to do with Hillary Clinton?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

This is interesting: another Trump lie. http://fortune.com/2016/10/10/warren-buffett-taxes-trump/

Trump's trying to drag Warren Buffett down to his level, but only Trump's most blinkered followers are buying his lies anymore. Can you imagine Buffett saying what Trump did?

To those who think Trump's misogynistic remarks were typical of what's found in the macho, slug-shoulder bonhomie of the locker-room, why are so many professional athletes, people who have spent large parts of their lives in locker rooms and who are way up the macho chain, coming out saying they've never heard talk like that?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Serrano: "Ryan, you idiot, even without your help, Trump is going going to win in a landslide."

Which hurts more, Serrano: the fact that you know you are wrong and Hillary's going to win, or that everyone you support has already turned their back on Trump and left you alone?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Do people even care what Paul Ryan thinks?

I don't, but Republicans do. Their support is kind of important if Trump's hopes to accomplish anything while President. (shudder)

America Is clearly bored and disgusted with Clinton's arrogance, sneering condescension and her memorized, Empty, tired, non-answers on important issues.

Maybe, but she's supported by the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Worst case, she'll be a placeholder until we can elect someone like them. Either way, Trump's arrogance/ignorance, bullying condescension and his unrehearsed, Empty, tired, non-answers on important issues is not an alternative.

Trump defeated not only Clinton but an evil and corrupt mass media as well.

Did I miss something? When did this happen? Also Trump owes his entire inflated image of success to the mass media. He revels in it and would only shift the corruption's focus to benefit himself at the first opportunity.

Half of the country doesn't think so.

More than half don't agree with Trump. There's also a theory going around that "conservative" women are only saying they'll vote for Trump to avoid friction with the men in their lives, but will do otherwise when alone at the voting booth.

All of those groups would do better without a Trump president, just ask the other half of the country. The other less-than-half are a basket of deplorables, duped suckers, and woefully misinformed. A mean give me one good reason why a man who's tried to stay as far removed from all those groups you mentioned for most of his life is suddenly going to fight for them? His plan for bigger tax breaks for the rich should tell you who's really going to benefit under him. As far as his views on terrorism and immigration, I believe they're genuine. But so is his complete lack of a realistic plan.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Only two polls so far since Chump's 'locker room comments' came out, but they don't look good for him:

NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl (10/8 - 10/9) Clinton +14 Economist/YouGov (10/7 - 10/8) Clinton + 5

Link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html

Both are serious leads. But +14 is unprecedented. It looks like the number from one of those online polls that got bombed by Trump supporters after the first debate.

That said, reading more, +14 is a bit of an exaggeration - it's if the two of them faced off head-to-head. When the other candidates are included (Stein and Johnson), her lead is only +11. Only!

At this point we can assume the anti-Hillary bots will be with Trump until the end. They are single issue, obsessive voters. They know Trump is unqualified and unfit but he attacks Clinton and that's really all they want to hear at this point. Trump has essentially abandoned the issues as s a candidate in favor of giving his base what they want: low blows against Hillary.

We can thank the partnership of the GOP and right wing media for this sizeable group of individuals. Trump simply offered better slams against Clinton and they flocked to him. As long as he keeps giving them that drug, he will always have them in his pocket.

And when the election is over, he's going to make a fortune off of them. An absolute killing.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Go Hillary!!!!

Please get that NO FLY ZONE in Syria!! What could possible go wrong?

I know her tax plan is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Trumps, I mean, of course we should raise taxes so everyone can get free university. How could this not work.

I say amnesty for everyone already in the US. All 11 million. Im sure they are almost all good people. Even if there is a few bad apples, the chances of them hurting someone I know is not possible. We surely dont need more border protection, the drug problem will go away by itself after everyone goes to free college.

The US should take in between half to 1,000,000 refugees because we as an Americans are strong, just like the Germans, we should be able to help as many as possible, as soon as possible.... Take that Trump-ites!

I really hope that President Clinton will also make Obama`s gender neutral bathrooms in enforced by law, as well as mandatory white privilege class for all elementary school children. GO TEAM HILLARY! THANK YOU JAPANTODAY CROWD! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! LETS CROSS OUR FINGERS FOR THE FUTURE!

Many JT posters are too young to remember Ronald Regan land slide win against Jimmy Carter. Do not underestimate the man of steel who has been dumped by his party elders. The course of Trump is not depending on self centered politicians.

Trump does not need other people pay checks. He does not need to pay Tax too.

Paul Ryan is identical with Judas who betrayed Jesus. Trump will prevail his incredible resurrection in November.

Remember how smug the liberal globalist Bremainers were on the eve of the Brexit vote and then how sick they looked the morning after? When Trump is elected President on November 8 it's will be a replay of that, x 10.

Anyway Mr Trump harmed very badly the very Republicans as such. I see there will be serious rifts in republicans, between 'extremists' and 'moderates' but no doubt 'moderates' indeed out number is a fact. Reasonable approaches of any one standing as president is vital for the presidency of the USA, is my considered view.

THANK GOD all of us Hillary supporters have been blessed with the hard work of (nearly?) all newspaper in the US exposing what terrible, dangerous person Trump is! There is literally not one newspaper that backs him up! I`m so glad the our trustworthy, honest media is so diligent.

honestly, so what if Hillary erased 33,000 emails after getting a subpoena, I`m sure it was like she said and it was just some embarrassing cute little personal things like her daughters birthday parties or vacation photos. That is nothing compared to what Trump said 11 years old. He is clearly more dangerous.

Thank Goodness for the Clinton Foundation! I know the Clinton have half a billion dollars but at least it provided a way for business people and governments a way to do business with the US AND the Clintons did donate 7% of that money to charities. Evil Trump and his ugly buildings all over the world and golf courses. Actually building something.... and than the nerve to put his name on it!

Well, I know Obama said the Libya bombing thing was the worst mistake of his presidency, but with a leader like Clinton ready to make

The Clinton Foundation provides HIV/AIDS medicine, jobs training, and farm technology to people in impoverished countries. But yeah, golf courses. Those help so many more people, the environment, etc.

but with a leader like Clinton ready to make...

Trump's grand plan to fight ISIS was to ask the generals to come up with a plan. The same generals who only a few months prior he said he knows more than and were "reduced to rubble."

95% of the media is left wing so of course it is a 24hr a day Trump bashing smear fest. That`s been the goal since the start.

The media is corporate wing. They were pretty willing to take Trump seriously too, but you really can't ignore the garbage that spews from him. Is it their fault that Trump's response to his own disgusting comments was to bring out a panel of Bill Clinton accusers who Trump himself referred to as unattractive losers back when they were relevant?

@strangerland, my bad $250,000,000 is the Clinton estimated worth. A lot derived by giving favors to foreign entities off the back of USA. Perfectly legit though. It doesn`t matter that if someone wanted face time with the American Secretary of State they had to pay a ridiculous sum of money to her private foundation! We love Hillary!

I really hope that when she becomes president, she puts all 5 of those women who went to the debate, and accused Clintons of abuse, sexual or another way, they are thrown in jail without hesitation because we don`t need to hear their lying stories! We all know Bill and Hillary are very honest people!

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

@JefferyDomer "We all know Bill and Hillary are very honest people!"

No, I don't think they are honest. But don't worry it's not just them.

This election made me begin to believe that there is no honest person in this world. From CNN to Fox, NY Times to NY Post, the Internet, Democrats and Republicans, Supporters of any politicians, we are all big liars. Lies won and Integrity lost in this election.

Remember the Brexit day after remorse. yep this will the Republican party on why they nominated Trump in the first place.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I like former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's analogy:

“I see Trump as Capt. Quint (Robert Shaw) on the boat Orca in the movie ‘Jaws,'” Huckabee wrote on Facebook. “He’s salty, drunk and says incorrect things. He spits in your face. BUT … He’s gonna save your rear. You may not like what he says but, in the end, you and your family survive.”

Huckabee was likely referring to Trump’s recently released tape from 2005 that caught him bragging about inappropriately touching women and also using coarse language — something that has caused many Republican leaders to back down from their support for the GOP nominee.

“Hillary, on the other hand, is the SHARK,” Huckabee explained. “She wants to eat your boat (open borders, immigration, failed foreign policy).”

Like the “Jaws” villain, Clinton has proven that she cares only about “feeding herself and protecting her territory.”

“She cares not a whit about the little fishes — she eats them and spits them out,” he wrote. “She only cares about protecting the other big fish.”

“Vote for the fishing boat captain,” Huckabee concluded. “Not the shark.”

the Republican Party was taken over by lunatics

What were Republicans thinking nominating an orange Obama birther hating clown. Your decision. You live with it. You had the chance to have someone normal like Chris Christie or even JB. But you had to have the man with the 50,000 dollar orange wig (also requires expensive maintenance). Sense a little bit of buyer's remorse? LIVE WITH IT! It just shows the number of racist lowlifes in the USA.

Trump says he's beating Hillary by 20 points. Is that really true?

"He’s gonna save your rear. You may not like what he says but, in the end, you and your family survive.”

Huckabee is a clown. The last Republican president didn't protect thousands of Americans who died on 9/11 and in the seemingly endless wars that he started.

I see Trump more like the mentally-unstable Captain Queeg -- who'll also make a play for your wife or daughter.

Wake up and smell the Tic Tacs.

Huckabee (and Serrano) can only understand things when they are broken down to a Jaws analogy!!

Give me those 30 seconds of my life back that I just lost.

I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure I remember reading your posts when Trump first entered the race and you were very much against him.

I sure was, but then, I realized the man did make a lot of sense about Washington and the entire political circus.

You seemed to think he was a lunatic and that his followers were as well. I understand people change their minds, especially when a nominee emerges. However, why is it that you cannot understand the feelings of those who are against Trump? You were once one of them.

Because a lot of them vote on emotion and I don't and never have, in fact, a large portion of Americans vote based on emotion, that is never good for either side.

Yes, I think many do. I also think it is just one more nail, in an evergrowing collections of nails that seem to be sealing the fate of Trump's campaign.

And you just made my point for me. Ryan NEVER liked Trump, that's ok, that's his prerogative, what bothered me was this fake attitude that he was eager to work with the man. Yes, I understand, these Washington idiots care about themselves, their careers more than they care about the American people. They can go to you know where for all I'm concerned. But at least they aren't fake like liberals and just hold their noses and deal with people they don't like.

You are free to dislike Clinton, but that does not change the fact that Trump did anything but defeat her in the last two debates.

That depends on who you are asking, the last people most Americans would even think about trusting is the mass media and the CNN/ORC poll had only about 500 that were surveyed and the bad thing is, they give this perception that the majority of the country thinks like that. Astounding! If they want a real poll, they need at least over 3,000 people then you have more of a sense of where things are leading and we really won't know that until a few days. Now I am not saying CNN doesn't have a decent poll, they do, but this is a bit small and narrow as well as dishonest to put forth the myth that the poll that was taken BEFORE the election which they always conveniently leave out.

Just food for thought.

Based on what I have been seeing and hearing, Trump is going to get buried in a landslide of votes for Clinton.

I'm not so sure, I heard that in 1980 as well. You may be right, but as I always say, liberals have this stupid habit of overestimating themselves and underestimating everyone else, including Trump, all you guys thought this is it and once again, he rose from the dead. So I wouldn't rule anything out, does it look like Hillary could win, possible, but could Trump still pull it off? Slim, but very possible, depending on the silent voters.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

So Trump is like the boat captain in Jaws. Except for having lifelong experience in the job at hand. Other than that, the same.

Huckabee is making Trump supporters look dumb. And they love it.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I realized the man did make a lot of sense ...

For a person to go from describing someone as a "lunatic" and then moving about face to "make a lot of sense" -- really says something. Trump hasn't changed; he's still as crazy as ever. Someone else has gone from "accurate" to "error," and now doubles down daily on "error."

I heard that in 1980 as well.... the silent voters.

Newsflash: 2016 is not 1980. The "silent voters" of 1980 are mainly dead, gone, departed. Over 70% of the US electorate in 2016 is composed of women, people of color, or voters in the age range of 18 to 30. Trump is toxic to all three groups.

A vast difference from 1980. Reagan was not 10 points behind Carter a month before the election. Trump has not been able to increase his support beyond 40% max since he was nominated in May -- and things have only gone down for him.

Reagan had the full support of the Republican Party going into the 1980 election. Compare that with a GOP in total shambles today, thanks to Trump and his repeated violations of Reagan's "11th commandment." Pretend that, when Trump loses, it was because of all the silent voters who never showed up.

Great slogan, by the way: "Trump -- the lunatic who makes sense."

"Huckabee is a clown," says yabits, lol

"So Trump is like the boat captain in Jaws. Except for having lifelong experience in the job at hand." says Super.

But Super, Hillary Clinton has zero experience in the job at hand too, since she's never had the job either.

"Trump - the lunatic who makes sense" says yabits, lol,

So you're admitting Trump makes sense now. Are you sure you don't want to rephrase or just retract that?

Ossan

The democratic election victory is due to the Republican Party stupidly allowing this walking freakshow to become their Presidential candidate.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Trump is the symptom. The disease in the party.

Trump is the Republican party. He won the primary. He did so early, and never looked back. He did so because he went birther, nativist, and blood soil nationalist. That alone is one third of the party. The other third are Christianist, I mean social conservatives, and the establishment. BTW, don't forget about half of the so-called Evangelicals chose Trump OVER Cruz.

No matter how you slice it, 40% of those who vote Republican are Trumpers. Thems the facts, dude, and that makes Trump the center of gravity of the Republican party.

And that is why, after he earned the nomination (by more votes than Rmoney and McCain), the social conservatives, like Pence and Reed and all those types, abandoned 40 years of 'principled conservatism' -- where they lathered on the pretension of 'character' being the litmus test for candidate support -- and starting singing a new tune to accommodate the thrice married and well-known pussy braggart who "moves like a bitch" on married women.

And they still forgive him and support him after this weekend. In fact, 75% of Republican voters want the party to stand by their man. Because he is their man.

No two ways about it, dude: Trump is incidental. The problem is the party. The problem is conservatism in America today has been taken over by hate media, hucksters and con men.

And the reason is because half the people who call themselves conservatives are racist, ignorant marks. And the establishment conservatives and Republicans have been using them and manipulating them for decades to further their looting of the public purse and the vast transfer of wealth into their pockets.

The freak show is not gonna stop when Clinton crushes Trump. Just as it didn't burn out when Obama smashed Palin/McCain. The freak show is the Republican party.

And, yeah, Republicans and conservatives built that, by not only voting Republican for the past three decades. But by believing your own hors&*&.

Obama is not a crappy president. He did a perfectly fine job. Bush was a crappy president. Obama inherited a failed financial system. And we were hemorrhaging jobs a half a million a month. Now, the economy is fair. Job growth has been slow and steady for years. The housing market it back and them some. The stock market is sky high. We're doing okay overseas (except for China -- but not president has managed that well).

Obama did not invade anywhere and we did not have a major terrorist attack on our soil.

Those are simply facts. No reasonable person could possibly characterize the Obama presidency as "crappy."

Only by believing the alternative reality created by right wing media could anyone think it.

And it that alternative reality that is the walking freak show known the world as the Republican party.

Serrano: Super, Hillary Clinton has zero experience in the job at hand too, since she's never had the job either.

I'm not here to stop you from repeating stupid analogies that other people give you. I'm just here to point out that they don't add up. No need to give me your fake support.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Serrano: But Super, Hillary Clinton has zero experience in the job at hand too, since she's never had the job either.

True, and the job experience she does have shows failure after failure, smoothed over by good PR and attorneys, and compliant media.

What's the max size of office she's managed? Dozen or so Senate staffers? Out of which came how many bills of hers?

Congratulations for the wisdom, courage and patriotism of such GOP leaders as McCain, Ryan, etc. Trump has gone too low, displaying his true nature as well as his disqualification for the Presidency of the USA. He should have been dragged before the Court for his sexual offensive(s). Let's hope that such gentlemen as Pence will reconsider their "loyalty" to Trump. The Presidential race is substantially over. Shall we suffer Trump's insanity for the remaining twenty-eight days? Only the GOP leaders could tell Trump that his chance has become null. What will be our image before the world opinion?

I realized the man did make a lot of sense about Washington

Like when he said Obama was born in Kenya? All conservatives think that.

For a person to go from describing someone as a "lunatic" and then moving about face to "make a lot of sense" -- really says something.

Yes, open minded people can grow and learn, change their minds and think rationally without being a lemming.

Trump hasn't changed; he's still as crazy as ever. Someone else has gone from "accurate" to "error," and now doubles down daily on "error."

That's just a matter of opinion.

Newsflash: 2016 is not 1980. The "silent voters" of 1980 are mainly dead, gone, departed. Over 70% of the US electorate in 2016 is composed of women, people of color, or voters in the age range of 18 to 30. Trump is toxic to all three groups.

No, it's not 1980, but the majority of Americans that are on Trump's side, the 65 million are not dead, are extremely tired comments like that coming from people living on the coast that have No idea how the majority of Americans live, the arrogance that a lot of millennial's gloat about is what is fueling a lot of rage and hostility towards them, the problem is, these people forget one thing, they will get older too and then the cycle will repeat itself and then maybe just once they will sit back and be astounded by how idiotic they were when they were younger. It always happens with each generation.

And let's say, the Dems take all 3 branches of government. I know for a fact, just like last time when Obama won, that love marriage will be short lived because one thing that is a fact about Democrats is, they can't control themselves when it comes to spending or being fiscally conservative. They would lose to another midterm again, that would be the result as usual, especially if they were to control the House.

Reagan had the full support of the Republican Party going into the 1980 election.

Right back at you! At the same time, the Democrats weren't driven by greed and the need to interfere and demand a massive government apparatus to control the country, they were responsible, reasonable and pragmatic and not ideologues.

Compare that with a GOP in total shambles today, thanks to Trump and his repeated violations of Reagan's "11th commandment." Pretend that, when Trump loses, it was because of all the silent voters who never showed up.

I wouldn't say that, I would put it more on the president and his Chicago style dirt politics and the surpression and bias one-sided reporting from the left. That's what I would attribute that to. Fairness is something liberals aren't known for and to the GOP, spineless cowards are what they're known for.

And compare that to the lying, deceptive shenanigans the Dems have been playing these last 8 years, the dishonesty and degradation they have put the country through, shameful.

Great slogan, by the way: "Hillary the chronic liar would make sense."

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

It makes sense Ryan would distance himself from Trump; he's a married parent so I doubt he could support a candidate whos interests would include sexually assaulting his wife and daughter. He still endorses Trump though, which shows Ryan is still a pathetic coward at heart

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Actually, the Republican Party was taken over by lunatics a very long time ago. What's with Democratic Party, seems they've been taken over by the mafia.

That would make the Democrats much better.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Yes, open minded people can grow and learn, change their minds and think rationally without being a lemming.

Were you not thinking rationally when you called Trump a lunatic?

Rational people do not go from calling something a lump of coal to calling it a shining diamond. Donald Trump is a well-known public person, andI have not seen any change in him to justify someone making that kind of radical turn-around. Trump has always been Trump..

And it's certainly not rational to pretend that this lump of coal of a man will turn into a diamond if awarded the highest office in the land. He appears to destroy or degrade just about everything he touches.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Were you not thinking rationally when you called Trump a lunatic?

Yes, I was and unlike liberals, I thought about Hillary in great depth and that pushed me into deciding to vote for Trump.

Rational people do not go from calling something a lump of coal to calling it a shining diamond. Donald Trump is a well-known public person, andI have not seen any change in him to justify someone making that kind of radical turn-around. Trump has always been Trump..

The same applies to Hillary, even more so.

And it's certainly not rational to pretend that this lump of coal of a man will turn into a diamond if awarded the highest office in the land. He appears to destroy or degrade just about everything he touches.

Then going by with that analogy Hillary must be a $14 Cubic Zirconia.
