“We are not cowards,” said Naqeebullah Khan, 25, who lost a cousin. “We will fight. We will die. We will not bow to these cowards.”

You have to admire the courage and determination of these people.

So the Pashtun are killing off other Pashtun and both hate the US and their own government. And both preach and promote revenge. So it seems all the US needs to do is to feed both sides weapons and gradually they will kill each other off.

Must be pretty stressful in those Northern Pakistan villages constantly knowing that a bomb could go off any minute. You would think that the people would have given themselves some distance from the militia elders` meeting

It's hard to imagine how anyone having read the above article could come up with comments like this. HELLO, these people, who have no means of support from their government, bravely risk their very lives to fight brutal and barbaric terrorists, and this is what you write? Shameful.

Its time to take out the families of those who are part of al-Qaida. Now that would at least if nothing else make sure those families had not chance to help out as they probably are doing now.

Al-Qaida already threaten the families of their own followers. Should we stoop to their level?

It so damned stupid. The taliban tells their blind followers they will be martyrs who died being persecuted for their beliefs, when in all actuallity they are the ones persecuting and making martyrs out of others.

Can't remember who said it here, but they were right about making them believe that "white is black, and black is white."

Any religious ideology that tries to rule by fear can expect itself to be on the recieving end when you keep murdering people willy nilly with no real cause.

Eradicating a Pest, a Cancer, a Vile Disease called Taliban is a hard task. Until the time those participating realize their only target is death and destruction and accomplishing nothing else, innocent people who have no idea what the ogres behind the scenes are after, will continue to be sacrificed.

These vipers called Taliban are the devil's own henchmen; they make a living out of war and drugs and killing. Power is all that they crave. Al-Qaida is in direct support of the Taliban, which makes them the same vile creatures. Look at yourselves and be proud that you wear other peoples' blood as you will surely be welcomed in hell. There is no place for these idiots anywhere on earth. These clowns have nothing to do with religion.

I still say we reach an agreement with them to give some some island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean and let them live their lives as they want to, with the only catch being they can never have any kind of impact on anything off of their island.
