So in other words, the vaccine is working.

6 months ago, the Pharmaceutical were promising us 97% efficacy with just 1 shot.

Now according to Israeli scientists you need at least 3 to be considered "fully vaccinated"

The narrative keeps changing everything points to an endless stream of monthly boosters.

Cha-ching, cha-ching,

-19 ( +13 / -32 )

Ugh I can't stand that guy or any of his ilk.

Disgusting liars with no honour.

11 ( +19 / -8 )

The narrative keeps changing

Science is the practice of examining data and adapting to new information. That's not a "narrative".

You people are no to masks, no to vaccines, no to lockdowns, no to quarantines, no to vaccine passports. I'm still waiting to hear a better course of action from y'all.

Cha-ching, cha-ching,

Yes, pharmaceutical companies make money. Innovation is driven by demand and incentivized by the lure of profit. It's called free-market capitalism. I thought you right wingers believed in that.

17 ( +27 / -10 )

"Vaccinated people are at a much lower risk of being infected at all and for contracting a serious case"

Why is it so hard for those opposed to vaccines to not understand this? Are they on a death wish or just really stupid? Or both perhaps.

9 ( +17 / -8 )

“I feel like I have a sinus infection, and at present time, I have mild symptoms,” the 66-year-old Graham said. “I am very glad I was vaccinated because without vaccination, I am certain I would not feel as well as I do now. My symptoms would be far worse.”

Children, vaccines do work, otherwise many more people would die, what you have to do is continue taking care of yourself until you reach herd immunity.

6 months ago, the Pharmaceutical were promising us 97% efficacy with just 1 shot.

Cha-ching, cha-ching,

Because science evolves and advances, the most probable thing is that the COVID vaccine is needed every year.

Can you understand it??..

Follow science, science is for winners..

Science is the practice of examining data and adapting to new information. That's not a "narrative".

It’s nice to see someone admit that “the science” is never settled and always open to re-interpretation depending upon the information available. All information and not ideologically filtered to conform with a narrative based on politics.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

It's called free-market capitalism

In free-market capitalism the government can't mandate that you buy a company's product.

The government forcing me to buy Pfizer's chemical soup injection is a type of fascism.

-19 ( +11 / -30 )

It’s nice to see someone admit that “the science” is never settled and always open to re-interpretation depending upon the information available. All information and not ideologically filtered to conform with a narrative based on politics.

This is literally the position of every moderately educated person who has the ability to think on their own instead of drinking whatever their preferred media serves them.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

The government forcing me to buy Pfizer's chemical soup injection is a type of fascism.

Good thing nobody is being forced by the government to be vaccinated. Those who make the choice not to be vaccinated have to live with the consequences of that choice. You know, take responsibility for yourself.

10 ( +18 / -8 )

Burning Bush....

In free-market capitalism the government can't mandate that you buy a company's product.

The government forcing me to buy Pfizer's chemical soup injection is a type of fascism.

Luckily the Pfizer and all other Covid vaccines are FREE.

PS... I think you need to check the meaning of fascism

So basically Graham has mild symptoms and will get better soon in HIS case and other people that hadn’t had the virus younger people are getting infected, but the deaths are going down, that means or it would seem that the virus is starting to weaken with this new strain as well as the people with their natural anti-bodies are fighting the virus and for the vaccinated people that have been coming down with this virus is proof that science is not absolute and there’s still a lot we don’t know, so in time between science and nature, it all should naturally take its course.

-2 ( +13 / -15 )

6 months ago, the Pharmaceutical were promising us 97% efficacy with just 1 shot.

I don't recollect this. It was always much lower. But do carry on with your misinformation.

4 ( +11 / -7 )

vaccinated people that have been coming down with this virus is proof that science is not absolute and there’s still a lot we don’t know,

LoL no it doesn't. It just proves rightists don't understand science. If a vaccine is 95% effective at preventing Covid-19, that still means 5% of people exposed to the vaccine will get it, on average.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

Unless it’s a woman and her body. Consistent.

I said "unless there's a clear and present danger to others"

I do not have the right to take action that directly and clearly results in the death of another human.

But I do have the right to make my own decisions, unless you can prove, in a court of law, that my decision presents a clear and present danger to others.

A healthy person with a strong natural immune system does not pose a clear and present danger to those around them, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights.

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

Yeah so this “breakthrough” case thing is just sooooo super rare? but Lyndsey Graham and hundreds of other publicly known figures have announced they have it?

-4 ( +7 / -11 )

Sen Lindsey Graham has become the first senator to disclose a breakthrough infection after being vaccinated against the coronavirus, saying Monday he is “very glad” he received the vaccine, without which his current symptoms would be “far worse.” In a statement issued Monday afternoon, the South Carolina Republican said he “started having flu-like symptoms Saturday night” and went to the doctor Monday morning. After being notified of his positive test, Graham said he would quarantine for 10 days. “I feel like I have a sinus infection, and at present time, I have mild symptoms,” the 66-year-old Graham said. “I am very glad I was vaccinated because without vaccination, I am certain I would not feel as well as I do now. My symptoms would be far worse.”

Well Repub vaccine skeptics, here's another pro-Trump Repub telling you to get vaccinated....

That's on top of Trump telling you;  "I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly." *He added: "It's a great vaccine, it's a safe vaccine and it's something that works."

Yet they still refuse it....guess they no longer heed his every word....

And Lindsey, if you don't want to get infected again, stay away from Mar-A-Lago - that place is a COVID bio-hazard zone...

1 ( +7 / -6 )

In free-market capitalism the government can't mandate that you buy a company's product.

But in a free market businesses have a right to require vaccine passports and refuse Trump anti vaxxers. It's good for me since I'm fine with no Trump people near me when I enter businesses or fly on airplanes. Tucker show is a free market business and the shows ratings will increase with his Trump viewers having to stay home with nothing to do but watch Tucker.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Unless you can prove, using science, that a person is a clear and present danger to the welfare of others, you have no business restricting their rights.

Unvaccinated people are 'variant factories,' infectious diseases expert says

There you go. Now go get vaccinated.

BB

A healthy person with a strong natural immune system does not pose a clear and present danger to those around them, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights.

I’ll fix it for you. It should be:

A healthy person has a strong natural immune system which helps reduce the danger to himself while still presenting a clear and present danger to those around them, therefore many legal justifications exists to restrict their rights.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Must be because he is a Republican. Doesnt believe in the vaccine enough.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Graham is fine, he's having a light symptom and will make it.

Had he not been vaccinated, he could be in the ICU by now.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

So basically Graham has mild symptoms and will get better soon in HIS case and other people that hadn’t had the virus younger people are getting infected, but the deaths are going down, that means or it would seem that the virus is starting to weaken with this new strain as well as the people with their natural anti-bodies are fighting the virus and for the vaccinated people that have been coming down with this virus is proof that science is not absolute and there’s still a lot we don’t know, so in time between science and nature, it all should naturally take its course.

None of this follows from the article. Did you try reading it?

2 ( +6 / -4 )

More importantly vaccinated people help save the medical system from being inundated with patients, because even a small percentage of healthy Covid catchers will have to be hospitalized, and this number will add up and there will be no hospital capacity which will mean many more deaths of anyone including non Covid people needing hospital care. Just in a serious car accident? Sorry the trauma doctor is too busy trying to save a Trump antivax person who now wants to be vaxxed but too late. Now you die too. Now is NOT a good time to go to the hospital because doctors are too busy with Trump patients.

6 months ago, the Pharmaceutical were promising us 97% efficacy with just 1 shot.

Does that comment have a credible source?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Or he could have been ok like 95-98% of unvaccinated people are even after getting COVID.

Had he not been vaccinated, he could be in the ICU by now.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Graham is fine, he's having a light symptom and will make it.

Had he not been vaccinated, he could be in the ICU by now.

Could be, but my bet is he'd be laying beside his fellow pro-Trump buddy Herman Cain...

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Yeah so this “breakthrough” case thing is just sooooo super rare? but Lyndsey Graham and hundreds of other publicly known figures have announced they have it?

Hundreds? Wow. That sounds like a lot. Can you name 200 for me? Thanks in advance.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Or he could have been ok like 95-98% of unvaccinated people are even after getting COVID.

Or he could have died and help tie up the medical system at the same time

3 ( +5 / -2 )

LoL no it doesn't. It just proves rightists don't understand science. If a vaccine is 95% effective at preventing Covid-19, that still means 5% of people exposed to the vaccine will get it, on average.

It doesn't, actually. Efficacy is measured against the control group that receives placebo. A certain number in that group will become infected during the period of the trial (specifically, they were assessing for "symptomatic COVID"). Whatever that number is, if 95% fewer people in the vaccinated group become infected, the vaccine has 95% efficacy. Obviously, even for the unvaccinated, who have a much higher chance of catching the disease, the chance varies over time, and is not going to be anything like 100%. In the 3-month period of the trial, it was about 1%.

The efficacy itself does not tell you what your chances of getting the disease are, no matter whether you're vaccinated or unvaccinated.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Typical republican politician. Reaps all the benefits of vaccines but hasn't lifted a damn finger to convince people to take the vaccine. I bet all those republican politicians have taken it.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Or he could have died and help tie up the medical system at the same time

Or he could develop cancer or an host of autoimmune disorders from the chemicals in the vaccine which will burden he medical system as well.

Show me the undeniable scientific proof that the vaccine will cause zero side effects to my health.

Until then, I won't burden the medical system by taking it.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Business leaders will help us accelerate vaccinations. I like the way things are trending.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Show me the undeniable scientific proof that the vaccine will cause zero side effects to my health.

Again it comes back to the private sector (airlines etc) refusing Trump non vaxxers. They are smart enough to know the Science and they will require vax passports which means Trump people will have to stay home and watch Tucker. I'm fine with more room on the airplane with no Trump antivaxxers on board with me. That argument is the those companies and not me

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Show me the undeniable scientific proof that the vaccine will cause zero side effects to my health.

Why would this matter to you? You already have undeniable scientific proof that Covid-19 could have a terrible effect on your health, and you don't seem to care about it. Why do you trust a disease more than a vaccine? Are you pro-pandemic? Sad.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Burning Bush: Until then, I won't burden the medical system by taking it.

You might want to check out UpWork.com. You can hire freelance posters there, like a 14-year old from Pakistan to post for you. They key is for you to get paid more for your posts than you're paying the 3rd party to do the work for you. You keep the spread, have to do none of the work, and your bosses won't see much of a drop in quality.

Just a helpful tip.

Science is the practice of examining data and adapting to new information. That's not a "narrative".

Yes, that is science. But what ends up happening is the practice of examining data and adapting it to fit one's narrative.

Luckily the Pfizer and all other Covid vaccines are FREE.

Oh, someone is paying for it.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

A healthy person with a strong natural immune system does not pose a clear and present danger to those around them, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights.

Exactly!

A healthy person has a strong natural immune system which helps reduce the danger to himself while still presenting a clear and present danger to those around them

... just as those who are vaccinated, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

A healthy person with a strong natural immune system does not pose a clear and present danger to those around them, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights

Ok. Prove you are healthy. Remember though that an asymptomatic carrier is not healthy.

... just as those who are vaccinated, therefore no legal justification exists to restrict their rights.

Correct, there is no justification for restricting the rights of those responsible enough to get the vaccine.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

LoL no it doesn't. It just proves rightists don't understand science.

We do, the left doesn’t understand individual civil liberties.

If a vaccine is 95% effective

And there are a lot of questions about that 5% that the CDC, the WHO won’t answer. Instead Psaki says, shut up and get jabbed. Yes n other words, trust her and this administration….uh-huh…

at preventing Covid-19, that still means 5% of people exposed to the vaccine will get it, on average.

as well as more and more people that are vaccinated that are getting the virus with more concerning side effects.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Until then, I won't burden the medical system by taking it.

Fine....couple of suggestions...

Stay away from your other family members, especially children, so you don't infect them....

Make your ICU reservation now....

Update your will...

Preselect your plot....

2 ( +6 / -4 )

And there are a lot of questions about that 5% that the CDC, the WHO won’t answer.

No, there aren't.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Ok. Prove you are healthy. Remember though that an asymptomatic carrier is not healthy.

Legally, the onus is on you to prove that I'm not healthy.

Innocent until proven guilty.

But private businesses can deny you service, entry or employment.

Valid point, but if the business receives government funding or subsidies like a public library or even a national airline they must continue to provide service to all citizens.

In addition, they can "deny" employment at the start but they cannot change the terms of a contract that is already signed. People already employed cannot be forced to undergo a medical procedure that is not in the employment contract they initially signed.

Private companies must adhere to their obligations in the their employment contracts as well and can not make arbitrary, unilateral changes to the agreement.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

as well as more and more people that are vaccinated that are getting the virus with more concerning side effects.

No, there aren't.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

No, there aren't.

Not for you, but for millions there are.

No, there aren't

Not for the millions for people are reading various reports

Sorry to inform you, but your newsmax, Proud Boys and QAnon reports might not be the most truthful.

"so in time between science and nature, it all should naturally take its course"

That's pretty much how they tackled the Black Plague. Some of us have moved on since then. Others, maybe not.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Valid point, but if the business receives government funding or subsidies like a public library or even a national airline they must continue to provide service to all citizens.

Is that really the law? Is this really true? The US has no national carrier. Nor does Japan. But Tucker is broadcast in Japan for all the antivax Trump people stuck in Japan. How about Costco or Walmart? Trump people have to shop somewhere. How are Trunpn people going to travel when American Airlines (the name of the company - it's not a national carrier) requires vax passports. Trump people keep refusing and I'm fine since they won't be on the same plane as me.

f a vaccine is 95% effective

And there are a lot of questions about that 5% that the CDC, the WHO won’t answer. Instead Psaki says, shut up and get jabbed. Yes n other words, trust her and this administration….uh-huh…

Psaki says? No, this guy says: "I would recommend it," Mr Trump said during an interview on Fox News Primetime on Tuesday. "I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly." *He added: "It's a great vaccine, it's a safe vaccine and it's something that works."

Glad to see you say you can't trust him, and that he's spreading dangerous health disinformation, putting his supporters like you at risk...

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Legally, the onus is on you to prove that I'm not healthy.

That would require a vaccine passport, which oops you oppose.

And any business can deny employment and service to anyone they choose as long as it is not based on discrimination of a protected class. Being unvaccinated is not an protected class, it's just being selfish. I am pretty sure that Google, Wal Mart, et al ran this by their legal department before making their statements. I will take the word of professional attorneys over your Constitutional expertise.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

I am pretty sure that Google, Wal Mart, et al ran this by their legal department before making their statements.

You're right, and that's why they included an exemption for medical, religious and strongly held personal beliefs.

The lawyers correctly pointed out, you can ask, but you can't force.

Ok, regular testing. Easy.

Paid for by the person claiming the other individual is unhealthy. Included expenses for time lost.

If the test comes back negative, the healthy person should get compensation for their wasted time.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Burning Bush: Just live with your decision not to take the vaccine. Stop trying to make this about big government.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Yeah, the more I read these posts from anti-vaxxers the more I start to realize their point is, "It's OK if I don't take it, right?"

And then with that they ignore the consequences to others, like overburdened medical staff.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Burning Bush: Just live with your decision not to take the vaccine. Stop trying to make this about big government.

Trump people think American Airlines is a national government carrier:

national airline they must continue to provide service to all citizens.

(Trump person quote)

you can ask, but you can't force.

And you can fire (at will employment) - see ya! If my otherwise healthy wheelchaired co-worker is not giving me any health risks that's one thing and the building code requires ramps. But if a maskless antivax Trump person like Ricky Schroder wants to work with me then I'm (with 90% of non-Trump co-workers) out the door until the company fixes it. That includes firing. It's like if someone never got their Polio vaccine.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Paid for by the person claiming the other individual is unhealthy. Included expenses for time lost.

If the test comes back negative, the healthy person should get compensation for their wasted time.

Wow, for someone who claims to not want to be a financial burden, you’re doing a really good job of trying to be a financial burden.

So, next time I take my vehicle in for a certificate of road worthiness and it needs nothing done, I’m gonna ask for compensation for lost time. Cool.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

And then with that they ignore the consequences to others, like overburdened medical staff.

It's my fear that the vaccines will give me autoimmune disorders that will then overburden medical staff that keeps me from getting the shot.

I'm not taking the shot out of concern for others, and society as a whole.

My employer can not rewrite my employment contract to require an invasive medical procedure, so my job is safe.

And government funded institutions, like libraries, airports, stadiums, trains and buses can not exclude me because I'm a tax paying citizen.

Only companies that are 100% private, without any government funding can exclude customers they don't want to serve.

Cake shops for example, that are completely private businesses, have the right to choose who they do and do not serve.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

18 months later with hard data as to who dies from this and percentages across age groups and those with other conditions and all the rest people still post on here like if toy get COVID it will kill you.

The fear factor has prevented a rational response to this crisis.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Disney, Google, Netflix are some of the companies introducing compulsory vaccinations.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

It's my fear that the vaccines will give me autoimmune disorders

Then stay home. And if you don't want to work then Meals on Wheels will deliver (and they do for free for people with no income). They will leave your very salty microwavable (but still free) meal on the doorstep, ring the doorbell, then walk away so the delivery people are safe. Meanwhile I'm off on a plane for a trip to Disney.

States with low vaccination rates are driving a new coronavirus wave sweeping over the nation, with the much more transmissible Delta strain filling hospitals across the southern U.S.
