Of course, Netanyahu does not want a cease fire as this is Israel's chance to to take over Gaza for a Final Palestinian Solution.

And why dont the other Arab and Muslim states, besides Iran, stand up and do something to help alleviate the suffering of the people? Why aren't other Arab states getting involved to try to stop Hamas and get the hostages back?

What Hamas did in Israel is unforgivable, and Israel's response is damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Seems those settlers just will get more lands after this conflicts ends.

You sound like a member of the propaganda ministry of the PLO.

"Final Palestinian Solution"..... You do realize that countless numbers of Israelis are Palestinian too. Israel is looking for a "Final HAMAS Solution" There is a huge difference, and the nuance matters!

Hamas knew this would be Israel's response. They didn't care.

1) It has been reliably reported that numerous journalists were prepositioned with advance knowledge to film the Hamas' attack on Oct. 7th on the Israeli border.

2) Many Gazan Palestinians totally despise Hamas and wish they were gone.

The above are incontrovertible facts. How could the vaunted Mossad and Israeli intelligence not have known this attack would happen. It is literally impossible. This is why Netanyahu does not want a ceasefire; he wants to finish the job.

Palestinian should be allowed to hunt down militants Isrealis that terrorize Palestinian

Wallace, somebody said this about Japanese and the US was well on their way of doing, what if someone say this also should be your fate, they said the same thing about Jews

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back Saturday against growing international calls for a cease-fire, saying Israel’s battle to crush Gaza’s ruling Hamas militants will continue with “full force.”

Reassuring to see this commitment to total eradication of Hamas and its supporters.

Hamas' murdering 1400 civilians, including burning snd beheading babies, and kidnapping over 200 others, including babies, the elderly and the disabled, warrants nothing less than and all out assault from the only democracy in the Middle East.

About 250,000 Israelis have been forced to evacuate from communities near Gaza and along the northern border with Lebanon,

There is a humanitarian crisis in Israel, and aid is needed to assist with these innocent civilians. Hamas and other Islamic terrorists continue to commit war crimes by shooting rockets at civilian populated areas.

Yes, I just don’t support Hamas and I agree, Hamas should be taken out and pacified. I’m a staunch Israel supporter.

And Hamas wins. Israel, blinded by blood lust, has given hamas exactly what they wanted. The world stands with Palestine. Israeli war crimes have shown the zionists true motive, and their supporters in US and European politics have lost the confidence of their people.

Somwhere between 500,000-1milliion people marched in London yesterday in solidarity against violence. This is the world I want to live in.

The ICC has jurisdiction in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The State of Palestine been a signatory to the Rome statute since 2015.

Palestinians how are under occupation have the right to defend itself and not the occupier(Israel)....

With the world-shocking carnage in Gaza Netanyahu is the last straw that broke the camel's back of Israel's image in the world, the one which has been carefully curated by American and allied governments, the Western press and Jewish money. Unloved and indeed reviled by the majority of Israelis this right-wing psychopath has now established his place in history as the "Hitler" of his nation who ruined Israel's reputation as a civilized nation. Many, like me, will now be catching up on the dark history of Zionism - in my case reading "The Gun and the Olive Branch" that has lain for 20 years on my shelf unread.

Why's it reassuring? They'll never actually be able to do it.

Hamas' murdering 1400 civilians,

Apparently now it's only 1200. I wonder what else they might have exaggerated. In any case it could and should have been stopped by the same people whose commitment you find so reassuring.

Revised down. Expect further revisions. Probably half if you dont count those murdered by IDF friendly fire

This latest, the most bloody, grisly and gruesome conflict the Israel Arab have known for decades.

Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah have brought a war to Palestine, I suggest even in the darkest depths of Islamic extremist fundamentalism, the hate, the hostility, finally led on the 7th October an atrocity to facilitate that overwhelming need to act, satisfy the detestation, the repugnance, the abomination of the Jew….

The Global community, in various states of political diplomatic incompetence, headless, any past influence ebbing away, faced a Arab world left stunned, horrified by the lack of a clear foreign policy to counter the reality of an Israeli Government determined to never again make a gross error of judgement.

Europe relegated to a political gibbering wreak, the French President impotence to raise even a modicum of a clear precise domestic strategy to pacify his Arab communities.

The UK capital city London a pro-Palestinian marching on Armistice day reported 800,000 flag waving, banners held aloft threatening recrimination on UK Jewish communities.

Firstly, these so called 4 hours “step backs”, lulls in outright hostility, need to be taken advantage of fully.

Places of safety for the tens of thousand cowering in and around hospitals schools etc. need to be created under an agreed the UN buffer zone.

Independent UN observers, should be on the ground.

To verify exactly if Hamas network labyrinth of tunnel command canters are as IDF intel suggests under hospitals.

Be in no doubt, the war currently on Gaza surface is about to move underground.

The IDF won’t turn back now.

A thought, Israel powerful US lobby should never be underestimated.

The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy

Author: John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen M. Walt….

https://us.macmillan.com/books/9780374531508/theisraellobbyandusforeignpolicy

Mearsheimer and Walt describe in clear and bold terms the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the United States provides to Israel and argues that this support cannot be fully explained on either strategic or moral grounds. This exceptional relationship is due largely to the political influence of a loose coalition of individuals and organizations that actively work to shape U.S. foreign policy in a pro-Israel direction.

And Hamas wins.

Judging by the growing Hamas body count I would tend to disagree.

Israel, blinded by blood lust, has given hamas exactly what they wanted. The world stands with Palestine.

Well, considering college these days are not producing the best and brightest of the next generation, not surprising. Remember, we are dealing with a segment that honors pronouns and think there are over 40 genders, so not in the least surprised.

Israeli war crimes have shown the zionists true motive,

And the atrocities and sheer carnage of Hamas has shown how barbaric these….thugs are.

and their supporters in US and European politics have lost the confidence of their people.

Not really.

Somwhere between 500,000-1milliion people marched in London yesterday in solidarity against violence. This is the world I want to live in.

Ok, great, but they’re not going to stop the IDF from taking out Hamas, they could have 5 million protesters and it wouldn’t matter to spit.

If Hamas would release the 200+ hostages its holding would make things easier.

Allow the UN to enter Gaza.

Allow the UN to enter Gaza.

Yes the UN should take its army and enforce peace in Gaza. Oh wait...

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

The UK capital city London a pro-Palestinian marching on Armistice day reported 800,000 flag waving, banners held aloft threatening recrimination on UK Jewish communities.

What absolute drivel. Of course there may have been a couple of incidents when you have 800,000 people gathered in one place, but this is a terrible representation of the march. There were thousands of Jewish people on the march too, standing up for what is right, and they were shown the respect they deserve for being peace loving and decent people.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

The UN does not have an army but it does have observers and aid workers which are badly needed for the suffering Arab civilians. Already 11,000 dead.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

If Hamas would release the 200+ hostages its holding would make things easier.

No it wouldn't. Netanyahu has other plans. That said Hamas should seize the opportunity of taking a moral lead over the murderous ethnic cleansing that some in the extreme right-wing Israeli government seem determined to implement.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The UN does not have an army but it does have observers and aid workers which are badly needed for the suffering Arab civilians. Already 11,000 dead.

Expect the number to climb, sad thing is, Hama could care less. Pathetic.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Expect the number to climb, sad thing is, Hama could care less. Pathetic.

How does that fit in with your support for the Palestinian Arabs? You don't care about the number of civilians killed. Just blame Hamas for everything.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Wallace, this would be a place to start.

The so called quote Israel agrees to 4-hour daily pauses in Gaza fighting to allow civilians to flee, needs the UN to push lobby for UN independent observers to guide the refugees to place of safety.

It could be a pointless endeavor, yet understandable humane response, to find the photo above implication frankly repulsive, and thus proportion blame.

However, the danger of this war, its possible conclusion could just be a beginning, Hezbollah/West Bank/Lebanon is fully exposed.

Soon after, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant told troops near the Israel-Lebanon border: "Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a war that might happen.

"It is making mistakes and ... those who will pay the price are first and foremost Lebanon's citizens. What we are doing in Gaza we can do in Beirut."

It does.

Yes

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Hell on Earth. Strategically Israel has momentum and would be foolish to stop, on the other hand Hamas must have expected this to happen so I wonder if it is a huge trap. I think we can expect a proliferation of terrorism worldwide now.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

What Hamas did in Israel is unforgivable

Why? Because they took hostages to exchange for the several thousand Palestinian hostages held by Israel, including many women and children?

Just this year, before Oct 7, many Palestinians have been killed by Israelis. Is that unforgivable? And that includes within the West Bank, so we can't blame Hamas for that.

What truly is unforgivable is that the international community has let the Palestinians down for many decades. And they are doing so again now.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

@us reamer

But you are in favor of Hamas releasing the 200+ women & children Hamas is holding hostage, aren't you?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Hell on Earth. Strategically Israel has momentum and would be foolish to stop, on the other hand Hamas must have expected this to happen so I wonder if it is a huge trap. I think we can expect a proliferation of terrorism worldwide now.

Hope not, but nowadays you just don't know, sadly.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. In Israel, after a downward revision, the death toll now stands at more than 1,200.'*

Yes, and that 1,200 death toll includes many members of the israeli forces. Members of an illegal occupation force are legit targets. Also, we must keep in mind that many israeli civilians were killed by the israeli forces (soldiers, tanks, helicopters) who fired at anything that moved and houses occupied by Hamas with Israeli civilians.

Hamas has called for an independent international investigation of Oct 7.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

But you are in favor of Hamas releasing the 200+ women & children Hamas is holding hostage, aren't you?

Of course. But are you ready to accept that a hostage swap (for some thousands of young Palestinians) was perhaps the principal motivation for the Hamas attack on Oct 7? We'll know more of the truth when the smoke clears and the blood is washed from the streets.
