Strange isn't it, if this nutter had spent a little time in the military he might have actually hit a target from 5 feet. How could you miss. Let's face it, the US military has produced some of the best-shooting nutjobs in history. Indeed, the USMC used to tell its recruits that "we taught Lee Harvey Oswald" to shoot. There was also the beltway chap, who apparently learned his skills serving in the army.

sigh Another crazy dude with a weapon. Doesn't matter what weapon, what country ... these people are everywhere.

How could you miss

adrenaline, panic, fear, anger or whatever all impede hand to eye coordination. Its not like a movie. In real life its hard to actually pull a trigger and hit someone.

A little dose of reality for gun carriers. Yes, even a guy with so few skills can still graze two armed individuals by use of surprise alone. Imagine what he would have done if he had skills!

Thank God he did not and therefore did not kill those guys. And why would he want to anyway? If you harbor a 9/11 inside job theory, obviously your target is higher up the food chain!

For the untrained, the simple act of pulling the trigger can already make them miss your mark. Especially if it's a long pull. I guess the security officers could count themselves lucky.

agreed, but then the story starts like this: A gunman coolly drew a weapon from his pocket and opened fire

This guy was definitely a weirdo. Blathering about a crime in 1991 (he would have been what, 16 or so at the time?)? 9/11 conspiracies (kind of a lefty, anti-Bush thing to harp on?)? Pro-weed (so either a lefty or an ultra-libertarian?)?

Hard to peg him then as a tea-bagger or other right wing nut-job, but then again lefties don't usually go for the gat. So I figure he was a tinfoil-hat schizo, to messed up to have any particular ideology other than "those Illuminati lizard-aliens at the Pentagon must pay for their crimes!"

I missed the bit if the shooter was left handed. Still nothing on the caliber for it had to be a short gun & rarely is anyone accurate from 15 yds back to 25yds with a snubbie or Saturday Nigh Special. So you can see his reason of shooting at that close distance.

Still what was that going to get the shooter in shooting at two guards with protective gear & fully trained with the side-ams they carry? Rather stupid to say the least.

Smythe, actually thorgrimfile denied that he could be said to represent right or left, but can only represent the loonies.

This guy was a nutter and he was wrong to shoot a security guards, but that does not make the official 9/11 story true, does not make Bush a saint, and does not make weed a bad thing. The messenger and the message are separate as ever. Lots of people agree with the above positions, but this is the only one who shot at random people over them as far as I know.

He used his real name on an internet post about Sept 11 "demolitions" and "seeing that just is served" (aka revenge). Wow. That is a seriously crazy thing to do.
