'Happy Days' dad Tom Bosley dead at 83

Great guy to watch on the tube.

Barbera Billingsly (June Cleaver), and now Howard Cunningham. The great TV family members are dying off.

He was also in an episode of Get Smart where his wife was a Kaos agent.

He was also the voice on the cartoon "Wait till your Father Gets Home."

And a public service film with Marion Ross (Mrs. Cunningham) about the evils of smoking. It was filmed on the set used for The Brady Bunch.

Erin Moran is 50. Donny Most is still alive. Ron Howard and Henry Winkler are Ok, as far as I know.

The next really popular stars to look out for might be Jack Klugman, Jerry Lewis, and Angela Lansbury, Christopher Lee, and old Spartacus himself.

Great TV shows...brings back memories of my life in high school back in the U.S. These are THE TV shows, unfortunately they [the TV shows] are all dying out. Nothing good to replace them with. RIP

Man! I used to love Happy Days! Mr.C was so cool! RIP Mr.C!

As a member of Gen Y, Tom Bosley was Father Dowling for me first and only as I got older and started seeing Happy Days reruns did I get to know him as Mr C. Another of TV's legends is gone. As TT said, they are not being replaced. I mean Ryan Seacrest? Kate Gosselin? Snooki? Kill me now.

This article missed the greatest father of American TV that was Archie Bunker.

The story mentions the spin-offs of Happy Days but failed to mention 'Mork and Mindy.' It was also a Happy Days spin-off.

Supposedly, Happy Days was a spin-off of Love, American Style.

We used to have an old tank of a car when I was a kid. We named it bosley after Tom. I reckon they are the same age but that old car gave up years ago. Thanks Tom for the laughs growing up.
