"Some of those social media posts push the idea that Harris, a California senator, used her romantic relationships to advance her career"

That is not really misinformation. Her career was kickstarted due to her relationship with Willie Brown who was more than twice her age then. She may have achieved a lot on her own merit after that, but she herself admitted that Willie Brown will always be an albatross around her neck.

Sorry, just rechecked. I misquoted too, I copied a paraphrase. Here is the actual quote:

"And you had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists."

By "that group" he meant protestors who did not want statues of Confederate leaders such as Robert E Lee torn down.

Lincoln, I am surprised and disappointed that you still believe the blatant lie that Trump called neo-nazis "fine people". A quick check of the actual transcript of the interview should be enough... here it is, when talking about the protests in Charlottesville, the President said:

"There were very fine people on both sides, & I'm not talking about the Neo-nazis and white supremacists because they should be condemned totally."

Good enough?

Of all the possible choices to be the actual president of the United States, the Democrats give us the absolutely awful Kamala Harris who will say anything to get elected.

I guess that is where we differ, Lincoln. I don't really care about words that much, I think actions are far more important. Besides, most of the "racist cretins" are Democrats.

Interesting you excuse a blatant racist slur...so what other racists slurs do you think are OK? No problem saying some Neo-Nazis and white supremacists are "fine people"? Calling our vets and military heroes "losers and suckers" fine too?

You keep concentrating on personality. I prefer to think about results.

Well, when the personality is potentially psychotic, you may want to pay attention to it - especially when that person holds the nuclear button. And you'll get your results on Nov 4th - but you won't like them...

The past 4 years must have come as a great disappointment.

Bob, you are right. Thankfully, just a Senator. Only one of a hundred other grifters. If she gets closer to actual power, such as VP or, god forbid, POTUS, it is time to worry.

Grifter? As in one who ran a sham university bilking innocent students out of millions?

Lincolnman, could you perhaps give some concrete examples of legislation or policy that the Trump administration has enacted to back up your assertion? I only see success and prosperity for minorities, who were thriving for the first three years of Trump's term.

I asserted that Trump has brought out the racist cretins that used to hide in shame - and provided a quote from David Duke, former KKK Grandmaster of their resurgence and outright support for Trump.

Perhaps you can explain why Trump gave the Medal of Freedom to someone who said to a black female caller; "take that bone out of your nose and call me back"....

How many questions has Joe taken?

when will he and/or Kamala sit for legitimate questions?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Unlike “woe is me” Don who can’t sit through an interview of legitimate questions, Black?

such victimhood. poor Kamala.

Trump has brought the racist haters and idiots out from the rocks they used to hide under...

They know they've had their champion in the White House for 4 years...

Just ask David Duke....

David Duke, one of the US’s most notorious racist extremists, has reiterated his support for Donald Trump’s re-election campaign and suggested the president replace his current vice president, Mike Pence, with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

I would dread her having any power or authority.

Bit late for that isn’t it? She IS a senator.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Well, she IS one of the farthest left senators according to reputable and unbiased sources like GovTrack. I would dread her having any power or authority.

Surprise, surprise. Wait til they discover she was born in Iran to gay parents!

Borat will expose this talking with idiotic right whites.

I love Kamala! I think she's the best of the four prez/vp candidates to be POTUS.

The funny, or maybe it's ironic, thing about Kamala Harris is that the right paints her as this radical left Trojan Horse while the lefties on the west coast have an even darker but contrary view, seeing her as more of an authoritarian right wing Mrs. Law and Order defender of killer cops who can never be trusted.

I've read and heard both sides, too. Overly binary opinion can be very stupid and almost always false.

She did her job as she saw fit as AG in California. She was tough and fair and very smart while doing it.

The American right wing is full of creepy racist misogynists.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

One side of me likes seeing her running for VP but another side wanted to see her stay in the Senate and accumulate the knowledge and power of a senior senator for the sake of California. Hopefully whomever replaces Dianne Feinstein can become that senator because at this point I sure as heck don't want to see her lose the election.

Among many who support Donald Trump, being born in California to immigrant parents, and a mixed race couple at that (oh the horror !) might be seen as more disqualifying that being born in Iran to gay parents.

That’s largely been driven by sexist or racist narratives that have swirled online around Harris

Sexist and racist narratives are to be expected from the far right (US and 'foreign') when the Trump/Pence base includes such large numbers of white nationalists and others wanting a return to the 1950s, an era of separate but equal (hardly), a time when many conservative men feared women even more than they do today.
