"Freedom" seems a little bit too much, but "chaos" is what Trump, his handlers and media have been proposing, by saying they'd alter the US Constitution to give Trump king-like powers, also by denigrating People of Color and Women playing identity politics saying inflammatory things like DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, which has helped allow more women and people of color to have opportunities is making the US weaker. The Trump-Vance team is an anti-DEI ticket, two serial liars whose base is primarily white Christian males, (spar me the right wing saying some Black men support them) both out to try to regain even more power and control for their demographic, while talking about concentration camps for 'others', Chaos indeed ahead. Trump is even more dangerous if he gets a get-out-of-jail free card, especially with a corrupt Supreme Court made up of many justices he's appointed.

The Trump Team does seem disoriented by the swiftness with which the Dems have gotten behind Kamala and how she has hit the ground running. Trump seems at a loss at how to attack her.
I was impressed with how she portrayed it as a contest between the Prosecutor and the Felon.
And the note of economic populism she had, attacking Trump for having no economic plan beyond warmed over trickle down tax cuts for the wealthy which have never worked for the middle class and since Reagan have resulted in the diminishment of the middle class.
Maybe Kamala could get some coaching from Bernie, AOC or her father to make a strong message of economic fairness.

Outside of the identity politics voters, most of the centrist Democrats themselves are not comfortable with the way she has been anointed as the heir apparent. She is not popular even among the traditional blue voting base.
A lot of names were being thrown around as stronger contenders to take on Trump, such as Gretchen Whitmer, Newsom, Josh Shapiro, Mark Kelly, Andy Beshear but all of them have stepped aside because they know it's not possible to mount a challenge in such a short time. It means only one thing - the Democrats are setting her up to fail. It's gonna be 2016 all over again and all of these stronger contenders want to preserve their careers for a 2028 run. She comes with all the baggage of the current Biden administration, and Biden has smartly stepped aside to preserve his legacy, so that she will take all the blame once Trump wins the election.

You don't understand NATO. Every member country has its defense budget with a NATO agreement to make it 2% of their GDP.
Besides, that there are the administration costs of running NATO which is $2 billion. The US pays the largest part at 20%.
It's the US that wants its troops in Europe going back to the Iron Curtain and the Soviet Union when Europe was American's first line of defense. Since then, the US has decided it's better to keep its troops there.
