Right decision imo. There was a potential conflict of interest as his own daughter used to work as justice adviser in the NT and could well have been called to give evidence before the commission (i.e her own father).
Many people have their hands dirty in this as there is a strong culture of impunity in the nt (and in other states to a lesser extent).

my feeling it is on this the court case into this should be held by the united nations in Prague And the findings made available world wide and fines sanctions awards be coasted to the relevant Australian government departments.
