Well at least we get some US weather news. Sounds hot there too. Never heard that expression 'heat dome' but it'll do nicely.

PS Might be nice if JT mentioned the Giant Typhoon that is just about to hit us here in Japan. The whole nation has been talking about it for the last few days and various warnings have been issued, but perhaps it is not really important for Tokyoites? :8)

Haha, it's obviously global warming.

The Southern half of the US has been having this heat problem since the spring time started. We haven't had any rain this year yet in Central Texas....our summer is just starting and we've already had a about a month of days border or more than 100 degrees F...if we don't get some really good heavy rain between now and the end of the year [which isn't unheard of around here bc usually our rain all comes in spring time] we're going to run out of water. The state's already banning water usage for things like swimming pools, yard watering, etc and bringing extra water in from out of state. Two years ago we had a summer here in TX with more than 100 days in a row where temperatures were over 115 degrees F..more than 46 degrees C.

Cannot complain when I think about all these people in Japan. Heat goes on here in US, but we will make it.
