The images of multiple deaths and intense destruction in Gaza are so painful to see.

Oh man I hear you. This thing is going to go regional very soon.

Another day of horrific war crimes

War is hell.

That's why it's best not to start a fight in the first place. It just gets worse and worse.

A man I've always looked up to, Marek Edelman, a commander of the armed resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising against the Germans, said that the Jew is always on the side of the oppressed, never on the side of the oppressor. Netanyahu's destruction of Gaza and scarring the lives of traumatized millions desecrates Edelman's legacy and the memory of those Jews who fought and died for freedom from the tyranny of their cruel oppressors.

Hamas is still keeping people hostage, in violation of international law.

Israel is complying with international law as it defends itself, and is minimizing civilian casualties,

The Arab terrorists continue to shoot rockets intentionally into civilian areas in Israel.

There is no sympathy to be afforded for anyone in Gaza except for the Israeli troops, who have been forced to fight after Hamas murdered and kidnapped over 1400 people.

The above statement is certainly not shared by the millions around the world who have watched with horror the ethnic cleansing of babies, children, women and men while our leaders with eyes closed remain tight lipped about Israeli atrocities committed in violation of all international laws and humanitarian values. The lives of the oppressed Palestinian people on the scales of Middle East geopolitics evidently count for little.

Reamer- it is a strange kind of 'ethnic cleansing' where the cleansing power warns those being cleansed of their operations. Also rather inefficient if they have managed to kill only 16,000 people. Even if we are to believe the grossly inflated numbers provided by Hamas.

As for aid convoys, I am trying to remember- when aid convoys were delivered to civilians in Germany during World War 2, how were they protected and regulated?

This is a war. People are going to die. Innocent people are going to die. Children are going to die. Those deaths are the responsiblity of the party that started the war- in this case, Hamas. Israel deserves praise for conducting the war in such a responsible manner. Particularly given the information coming to light about the horrific use of rape and sexual torture by Hamas on October 7. The BBC published a chilling article about it yesterday.

Seems like more and more of the Hamas leadership are getting their early retirement papers, good news

True

Israel is complying with international law as it defends itself, and is minimizing civilian casualties,

False

There is no sympathy to be afforded for anyone in Gaza

No sympathy for thousands of dead children... What?

The Arab terrorists continue to shoot rockets intentionally into civilian areas in Israel.

And Israel is supposed to be patient and allow the barrage to continue?

Exactly, if these were real fighters (Hamas) in the truest of sense they would never hide among the civilian population under any circumstances, even our mafia knew the code that women and children were strictly off limits these jihadist cowards wouldn’t know anything about that.

The ridiculous claim that this makes the bombing campaign humanitarian. They don't even have a safe place to flee to.

Also rather inefficient if they have managed to kill only 16,000 people.

Ethnic cleansing does require the immediate execution of every last Gazan using maximum force. Even Israel isnt that stupid.

Here is a pretty extensive definition of ethnic cleansing. Might be worthwhile taking a look.

IDF have similar numbers. And even by their own biased reports, only 1/3 are member of Hamas.

This is a war.

Well, you ought to understand that millions around the world see something very different: a cold-blooded massacre of an occupied people imprisoned in a Ghetto from which only the dead can escape. Our lying eyes can clearly see that the bombs and missiles raining down daily for 9 weeks on Gaza's helpless, defenseless civilian population don't make it look at all like any war, any more than the razing of the Warsaw Ghetto did as the Germans flushed resisting Jews out of sewers and tunnels. Netanyahu's cruel campaign of bloodshed will lead to anti-semitic violence that will take the lives of innocent Jews and define the state of Israel forever in the eyes of the world while remaining a stain of shame and guilt that generations of good Jews will have to bear.

The biggest threat to Israel has always been the Israeli government.

Reamer- the UN is one of the villains in this story, why should I listen to or trust their definitions? A UN paid teacher was actually helping Hamas to hold kidnapped Israelis in Gaza. And schools sponsored by the UNRWA are responsible for the reprehensible propaganda fed to Gazan children in their schools.

I am just waiting for the other two shibboleths ('genocide' and 'apartheid') to show up here.

As for 'ethnic cleansing', the Gazans will be permitted to return to their homes once Hamas is flushed (literally and figuratively) from Gaza. Seems the flushing will begin soon, with the terror tunnels being flooded with sea water.

Look up any definition, they are basically the same. Here is one by the Encyclopaedia Britannica. Are they the bad guys too?

the UN is one of the villains in this story

Anyone who has read the historical background to the establishment of the state of Israel, is forced to conclude that successive US governments are the true villains in this needless conflict between two semitic tribes played off against each other on the blood and oil-soaked chessboard of Middle East geopolitics. Too bad most people are intellectually too lazy, incurious or incapable of seeking the truth in a history book because then all the persuasive power of propaganda and gaslighting would no longer work.

There is no sympathy to be afforded for anyone in Gaza

We're at the point in this conflict where the people still siding with the wrong side sound so awfully bad that you'd think they're poorly-written cartoon villains. Amazing. If there were a grieving, innocent Palestinian mother in front of you crying over her dead children, I wonder if you'd be saying the same thing to her face.

The simple fact is, if you support a cease fire in which the IDF just goes home, then you are supporting rape. You are supporting the brutalization of women and the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. Because Hamas has promised that, given the opportunity, they will repeat October 7 over and over and over.

So think carefully about what you want before mouthing trite slogans.
