McCain must really be in trouble to have to stoop to using Sarah Palin to get votes in his corner. This is just another hilarious moment of McCain desperate attempts to remain relevant. I hope John McCain loses.

McCain has resorted to getting the "boner vote." That would be the tired old white Republicans that get a hard on for Sarah. You may be familiar with a few here on JT.

"Boner vote"?! ROTFLMAO! Your claws are sharp today!

No, actually having Palin support him is smart. Palin despite your wishes to the contrary, is exceedingly popular. McCain though is not. He's locked in a tough primary battle with JD Hayworth, someone who is seen as being much more conservative then him. McCain is viewed by many Republicans as being more in line with Bush, aka Democrat in all but name. Its not completely true of course, but a lot of people see his silly views on the environment, and of course his attempts to pass amnesty for illegals, as being inexcusable. While I think he definitely has the edge on Hayworth, its close enough, that Palin coming out for him, might be enough to make a difference.

Ah, the dolt is still making waves with her inanities. Good. I need a few good laughs these days.

As for McCain, it's pathetic that he would stoop to using this loser for a few votes instead of just retiring like he should.

I don't know if being popular for being dumb is something good for one's career and for a mate's political career.

If this is proven true, then next US president may be Paris Hilton.

Rather stupid comment there. You know she's not popular for being dumb. Rather the opposite in fact. In fact I'd bet, at least part of her popularity is because of how much she is hated and feared by those like yourself on the left. Mention Palin's name, and loonies start frothing at the mouth, incandescent with rage.

If this is proven true, then next US president may be Paris Hilton.

lol, she'd do a better job then our current President. But then, the Presidents dog would be a better President then Obama.

I also see some familiar JT posters are popping tall in their stiff opposition to her again.

"Palin despite your wishes to the contrary, is exceedingly popular."

Yeah. And we all know that popularity is enough to score points with Republicans. Beck, Limbaugh, and O'Reilly are the brains of the whole operation these days.

"You know she's not popular for being dumb."

Actually, yes, she is. Like Dan Quayle before her. Can anyone remember one plank she added to the Republican platform? Has she done anything in her career? Has she finished anything? No. No... she is famous for saying really stupid things over and over.

"she is hated and feared"

Right on this one. Dems HATE and FEAR her so much that she is a shoe in for the obstructionist Republican party candidate in 2012. I encourage all Republicans to hold tight to this gem. She will lead your party to glory and represent what being a Republican is all about.

"Presidents dog would be a better President then Obama"

I think comparing the US President unfavorably to a dog just because he is black is reprehensible. Did Palin tell you to say that? Are you trying to say that black people are not human? Or do you say these things about white people too?

Precisely the same as obama...

Palin is a female Barry ("In your heart, you know he's right"*) Goldwater. If Republicans are barmy enough to nominate her in 2012, they can expect the same outcome.

For those too young to remember, the standard retort to Goldwater's 1964 campaign slogan was, "Yes, extreme right."

You know she's not popular for being dumb.

What I know is that she is known all around the world for being dumb, or to pretend to be dumb. And I have just discovered there's one person in the world that didn't know that: guess who this person is, Molenir? lol

And, c'mon, man, Obama is doing a great job. Of course he is not perfect, but anyway he's admired even everywhere he goes. Something your dear Bush never was, never will be.

They were throwing shoes at his image in Indonesia. he is burned in effigy in Iraq. He has alienated most of America s allies. The press and the hate America Left lurve him tho.

SenatorAcorn, What news networks/network do you watch. From what i have seen, most muslims/Iraqi`s etc are happy that Obaam is in power.

Of course one could pick very isolated incidents that may well ahve been staged, but then that person would look idiotic.

Which ones would those be?

Nothing against McCain, a man of principles who served his country with honor. Indeed, I often wonder what the current world would be like if McCain had managed to beat GW back in 2000.

At the same time, however, it worries me that McCain would have anything further to do with Palin, whose lack of knowledge of various issues during the last election was both scary and somewhat funny. Again, in the interests of a vibrant political democracy, surely the GOP can come up with somebody a lot better than Sarah Palin?

wow, mccain proved he is senile in 2008 and now unfortunately you can add pathetic as well.

The best thing for him is to lose. He cannot cut it in politics any longer.

I voted for him in 2000 primaries since I knew that bush was a walking disaster. Too bad bush played the race card on mccain in SC and got the cracker vote (accused mccain of having a black kid, who was really an adopted asian). mccain did not recover from that bashing.

Even senile and sad he is a better republican than 98% of the rest of the imploding party leaders.

McCain is definitely getting old, but I still prefer his more central stance. Hayworth I see as a danger. He even wants to take away the right of citizenship for those born in America if the parents are undocumented! Democrats should register as Republicans and vote for McCain in this primary. (No, they shouldn't. Only a Republican would seriously consider something so subversive to democracy, an institution they hate by the way.)

The only place I ever read about "Sarah" is on JT.

Heh, but good on old man McCain proving the old adage about those ignoring history and all.....

I don't know which makes me laugh more : Palin, or the comment about how Obama's dog could do a better job. Dogs can talk?

I agree, but in his defense, when you are facing a Stalinist purge, you have to do what you have to do. Or end up like David Frum, apparently coming up with the "Axis of Evil" line isn't enough to prove your conservative cred.

getting the "boner vote"

She is attractive. I can understand your obsession for her.

Last I looked the US Constitution clearly delineated church and state. The US spends a lot of energy protesting Iran's Islamic theocracy, correct? But what about Sarah Palin's ideas for an American Fundamentalist Theocracy? As a patron of the museum of creation somewhere down in the Bible-belt, she believes the Old Testament is literal. She's even been exorcised to ask for Jeeeeezus to help her win the election against the non-believers. If she was Muslim, we'd say she was a fanatic. But she's Christian, so she's OK? See the exorcism here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwkb9_zB2Pg

If, God help us all, she were to be elected President with a Veep like John Mc. Cain, what kind of America would that be?

If Sarah Palin actually wins the GOP nomination - which I sincerely hope she does - it'll be goodnight and goodbye for the Republicans. And they'll bury themselves even deeper if they try repealing the healthcare bill.

Unfortunately Matt Damon does not post here, but he seems a little leary of Palin too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6urw_PWHYk&NR=1&feature=fvwp

And LIBERTAS was that pastor's voice for real? He said Jesus more times than I can count, more times than me cursing on a bad day!

"I still prefer his more central stance."

HeyLars. Here is why he is a loser. It is precisely because of his central stance.

Here is how Republican politics works. I was a Republican for a long time, so let me tell you I have seen how this works first hand. Republicans have money. They are primarily the money party. However, because there are few rich people, and because they are becoming fewer, the Republicans have ALWAYS needed some issues that they stump for to get poor people to vote along with them (AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS) and elect their candidates. Those issues are things like Gun Control, Abortion, Prayer in Schools, creationism, racism, etc. In short, they are pretty trivial things that people get very emotional about. Bush got elected despite the fact that he has the IQ of a paperweight because the people who voted for him believed he would give them lower taxes and save America from evildoers. Meanwhile his cronies raped the country.

McCain chose Palin to keep the lunatic fringe from bolting from his candidacy. The far right was suspicious of McCain. She is kooky enough that the kooks like her, and any other choice that the far right wanted would have pushed McCain to the curb after one term. He chose her because she talks a good game, but was not a serious threat to him. She can talk about Jesus and the badness of premarital sex despite her own and her daughter's sex out of wedlock. Family values. Christianity. Guns. No new taxes. Prayer in schools. Etc. The poor folks, Christians, and other gullible people DO eat it up and lick the plate, don't they?

The moderate Republicans are gone. Colin Powell gave up. Anyone heard from him in months? McCain is about as moderate as they get. The only Republicans left are the lunatics. The tea party guys, Palin, Jerry Falwell, Rush, Glenn, Bill O'Reilly, and the guys who shout LIAR and BABY KILLERS in congress. They are stooges, tools, and hitmen for GM, Wall Street and the military industrial complex, and they will use fear, uncertainty and doubt to make poor Americans vote against their very own interests.

Don't take my word for it. Just watch.

They are not excited about McCain and his moderacy, so he is selling out. He is just like Anakin Skywalker. Palpatine/Palin tells him that if he comes over to the dark side, he can win the next election, and he is doing it. He was the one who gave Palin her big break to try to keep from going over to the dark side when she was the least of all evils he had to choose from. Now, she has moved up in rank and he needs a populist surge to keep his seat. If he wins, he will be in Palin's grip, wearing a black mask, screaming NOOOOOOOOO!

I understand the U.S. Constitution. Palin wants prayer in school. It is against the Constitution.
