On the other hand, drought-stricken countries in northeast Africa will welcome beneficial rainfall after enduring drought conditions for several years due to prolonged La Nina events, said Azhar Ehsan, associate research scientist at Columbia University.

the "warming world" of the article is not about natural effects of weather but the negative effects of human activity on climate. Pretending things are as usual is not something that the scientific consensus about climate have demonstrated.

You don't understand El Niño then if you don't understand the other effects it has other than warming.

Pretending that El Niño is a result of human activity goes against the scientific consensus. Do you hsve any source that shows El Niño is caused solely by human activity, otherwise you accept it is a natural effect.

Again, the "warming world" from the article is NOT about el nino, you have not offered any argument to refute this point, so you are accepting it is valid and changes the importance of other meteorological events.

Nobody is pretending tle nino is a resutl of human activity, that is just a strawman you tried to use to avoid accepting the actual argument made, which is that human derived climate change is the one that changes the importance and consequences of el nino, something that is not natural at all.

Again, the "warming world" from the article is NOT about el nino,

NOT according to the article:

In the past, a strong El Nino has led to record global warmth

Looking forward to some warmer weather because of El Niño:

The U.S. Pacific Northwest and parts of the Ohio Valley can go dry and warm, L’Heureux said.

NOT according to the article:

The article makes it very clear that the warming is not due to El nino but something independent, the first sentence makes it very clear

An early bird El Nino has officially formed, likely to be strong, warp weather worldwide and give an already warming Earth an extra kick of natural heat, meteorologists announced.

What evidence do you have that this "already warming Earths" is not happening?

Looking forward to some warmer weather because of El Niño:

That would take a deep lack of empathy, looking forward to trillions of dollars of damage as long as you feel better.

But a recent study says El Nino is far more expensive globally than previously thought, putting damage estimates in the trillions of dollars. The World Bank estimated that the 1997-1998 El Nino cost governments $45 billion.
