"Iran defends bringing down the Lebanese government."

“We carried out a constitutional, legal and democratic step to bring down the government. We did not use weapons,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech.

For a change they didn't use weapons. But they are a good backup in case this doesn't work for them.

“We are not scared of speeches, statements or anyone’s threats in this world.”

Because we still have our weapons to put anyone in their place. We are true islamist politicians. If words don't work then the gun will.

mike,

Indeed, Hezbollah do have weapons. It seems only Hezbollah is willing to defend Lebanese civilians when Israel comes barging in. We saw this a few decades ago and couple of years ago, while Lebanon's military stood by while thousands of its civilians were being murdered by the American-backed Israelis. Having a strong Hezbollah is a good thing for Lebanon.

Sabiwabi,

"Having a strong Hezbollah is a good thing for Lebanon." You do realise that Israel invaded Lebanon in 2006 because Hezbollah was launching attacks on Israel from Lebanon. This situation is not good for Lebanon or anyone fo that matter

heh We took part in blowing up the last Prime Minister and now that the report is about to be issued we went ahead and brought down the government without violence. See? We're nice people.

AdamB,

You should not believe everything you hear/read in the controlled media. Whenever Israel attacks someone, they always blame the other side. Unfortunately, the MSM usually goes along with it.

Also consider when/why Hezbollah originated.

Sabiwabi,

I do not believe everything l read in the MSM, however it is widely documented that it was the Hezbollah provoked the Israeli's into attacking. They fired rockets into Israel, attacked Israeli border positions and killed Israeli troops. So in my opinion they deserved what they got. You poke a bear bees nest you will get stung....

Hezbollah, which is a state sponsored (terrorist) group that is sponsored by Iran (yeah that lovely defender of human rights) with the purpose of forcing the West and Israel out of Lebanon

Hezbollah, which is a state sponsored (terrorist) group

Indeed the governments of US, UK, Egypt, Australia, and Canada classify Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, in whole or in part. The EU does not. Most of the world does not.

No weapons used so how can the West condemn them?

Sabiwabi,

Slight missinterpretaion of the facts there. The EU has voted on and recommended to include Hezbollah on the list of terrorist organizations after "recognising terrorist activities conducted by Hezbollah" However Britain (who class them as a Terrorist organisation), Spain and France recommending not to declare them a terrorist organisation as it would affect the peace process. Also the UN has repeatedly requested them to disarm calling them a destabilising factor. And even Mid east countries like Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia have condemmed them. So maybe they arnt all that good like you make out

Hezbollah was documented as deliberately targeting civilians in its attacks in 2006. Hardly peacemakers.

Unless it goes along with what you want to believe eh Sabi. I guess this JT article makes you happy and you can believe it because you believe what Hezbollah says.

sabi: only Hezbollah is willing to defend Lebanese civilians

Hezbollah stores weapons and fires missiles from the tops of hospitals and schools. They use civilians as shields and for propaganda. They couldn't care less about civilians.
